Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) led a group of Democratic senators to call for the National Rifle Association (NRA) Foundation to be immediately removed from the list of charities eligible to solicit and receive contributions from federal employees on Friday. Twelve senators, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), wrote a letter to the head of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Michael Rigas, requesting the NRA Foundation be removed during the Combined Federal Campaign’s (CFC) annual fundraising drive, set to begin Sept. 21. The letter follows the lawsuit from the New York attorney general seeking to dissolve the powerful pro-gun interest group announced last month.

Menendez also called for people of Aryan descent to be forbidden from shopping in Jewish owned stores.

Don't you just love the Dems - so Fed employees don't really enjoy First Amendment rights? The courts have clearly recognized that political (or otherwise) donations are a form of free speech. This entire Party is malevolent and fascist to its heart.

You can only contribute to the liberal causes? Totally unconstitutional! But then again, I don't think they've ever read the Constitution. MAGA!!! KAG!!! TRUMPS 2020 AND BEYOND!!! If a law was past forbidden senators such as Bob Menendez from giving money to ladies of the evening he find that it was unconstitutional. I don't give money to the NRA. I saw Wayne LaPierre's salary and decided he didn't need any of my money.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think the NRA is considered a charity. Thus, there is no tax deduction for contributions. Nonetheless, it is none of perv Menendez’ and the other rats business if federal employees donate to the NRA Foundation. .

There are 6,432 organizations listed in CFC giving guide on the OPM site. Select all zones and peruse some of the organizations. Used to provide a book that was hundreds of pages long, now all on the web. This campaign is the primary authorized campaign across the government. Charities are big moneymakers, ppl involved no longer low pay and limited benefits doing its for altruistic reasons.

There are two entirely separate and distinct "NRA" legal entities that these idiots are probably unaware of. Very different. The NRA-ILA, is the National Rifle Association - Institute for Legislative Action. This entity collects funds and distributes them to political candidates running for elective office. The NRA Foundation is entirely separate, and collects money to be spent on charitable giving to support the shooting sports, police training and shooting safety education. The NRA Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization and contributions are tax deductible. The NRA-ILA contributions are not tax deductible, they are basically political contributions.

The CFC should not bel allowed. Government employees are prohibited from participating in political things on government property. This gives the government employee unions an opportunity to influence where their employees should direct their donations to help push the unions agenda. A lot of these "charitys" are just big lobbying groups (like the NRA, Planned Parenthood, PETA, Greenpeace) who will use the donations to push for their agenda. If employees want to donate, they can do it on their own, without union pressure.

It was another one of those Jussie Smollett-like "hate crimes" that sounded perfectly made up to any well-adjusted person, which probably explains why liberals fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. A biracial woman in Madison, Wisconsin, told police officers back in June that she was attacked by four racist white men who looked like frat boys. The woman, Althea Bernstein, 18, claimed the four men pulled alongside her vehicle at a stoplight, called her a racial epithet, sprayed lighter fluid through her open window, and then lit the teenager on fire. a window at a nearby government building. On the 197th day of “15 days to slow the spread,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom (Democrat, of course) has moved the reopening goalposts yet again. Originally counties had to meet metrics aimed at ensuring adequate rates of testing and the availability of hospital/ICU beds/ventilators. (Contact tracing was supposed to be a part of that, but that effort’s been a big fat joke). Once hospitalization rates, ventilator usage, and death rates plummeted over the summer Newsom changed his strategy and enacted by gubernatorial fiat a tiered system that completely ignored those metrics and instead focused on daily new cases and positivity rate. Now

The liberals' worst nightmare has come to pass: Ruth Bader Ginsburg died during the Trump administration. Many supporters had urged her to retire during Obama's tenure so he could appoint her leftist successor. But with arrogant defiance, Ginsburg stayed on the bench, certain, no doubt, that President Hillary Clinton would name her successor. Reality's one tough customer. Now President Trump has nominated Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. We'll let all the others recount her unimpeachable credentials. Suffice to say, Mrs. Barrett is at least as qualified for the bench as was Mrs. Ginsburg. Ginsburg was confirmed 96-3 in just 50 days.

There is a gigantic, deadly game of “Let’s Pretend” going on in America. Politicians, the media, and activists are all pretending that the violence, the arsons, the beatings, and the mayhem in our city streets actually have a purpose. They pretend that the mostly peaceful protests are only being made violent by the mere presence of police officers. The media pretends that the rioters are “enraged” or fed up with “oppression” and “systemic racism” so that the chaos and thuggery is a completely normal response to the problem. Do these people really believe the riots are all about poor, drug-addled George Floyd?

One of the more disappointing aspects of Donald Trump’s presidency, at least for me, has been his continued support for both the execrable Renewable Fuel Standard and the ethanol lobby, particularly in Iowa. Sadly, in a pre-October surprise, the President has handed yet another gift to those players while dealing yet another blow to America’s drivers, boaters and the fossil fuel industry. This weekend, Trump approved the use of gas pumps designated for 10% ethanol blends for E15, or 15% blends, subject to state approval. The political component of this decision doesn’t even make much sense, to say nothing of the confusion it will cause among consumers and potential,
