There is an obvious explanation. If the wealthy who are in power can still ACT stupid, why waste time in school when one can take the easier path and just BE stupid.

What's the definition of insanity again?
Same with all those who somehow think voting for the same liberal/progressive Democrats again, will finally bring the hope and change those same Democrats have been promising for the past 50+ years.

If you are lazy, unmotivated and have one or two lousy parents at home who will not push you to improve yourself, all of the money in the world won't fix it. Especially if your culture says drive and intelligence are white characteristics to be sneered at.

Right on course, 8th grade and can't read four more years until graduation and still can't read. Education is white supremacy a certain group can't abide by that so school education is 'racist'. Stupid is the new norm.

And that is probably an inflated figure, actually it is probably 10%, and they likely learned from their parent(s).

Well, obviously, they haven't taken down enough statues of racists people from history, and renamed enough buildings and parks, or this problem would have already fixed itself!!!!
I mean look how well that worked in New Orleans. They spent all that time and money taking down statues, and suddenly their public school students were all super achievers, the gangs all broke up and became social workers, drugs disappeared from the streets, the crime rate plummeted, and life in New Orleans became Paradise!!!
Oh wait, none of that happened. New Orleans is still a third-world poop hole. Washington DC is worse. Never mind...

I don't know about other states, but in FL all you have to do is show up for 12 years to get a diploma.
Then you can flip burgers.A lot of people are proud of being ignorant.
A country is only as good as their education system.

No American politician - - including President Trump - - has the guts to conclude that no government - - at any level - - should own, operate, or subsidize any form of education. Until the government is completely driven out - - nothing will "fix" the education mess. Funding government education is funding our enemies.
