The Trump campaign released an open letter Monday signed by 235 retired military leaders expressing their support for President Trump’s reelection.
“As senior leaders of America’s military, we took an oath to defend the United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic. At present, our country is now confronted with enemies here and abroad, as well as a once in a century pandemic,” the letter reads.
The group, which includes three retired Air Force generals and five Navy admirals, contends that Trump “has been tested as few other presidents have and is the proven leader to confront these dangers.”

I have a close friend who was a three-star, and ended his military career as a deputy Secretary of Defense. He is totally appalled at the senior level military retirees who speak out against President Trump. He knows some of them, and claims they were more like politicians than military leaders.

The Clintons and Obama worked to salt the senior military staff with liberal officers who were willing to be politicians instead of military leaders. What military leaders worth their pay would have allowed the democrats to decimate the military without putting up a vigorous fight? Flag officers (Generals and Admirals) enjoy generous pay and benefits, like politicians do.
Flag officer must have approval of congress to advance in rank. It matters which party is in power.

As a retired military officer myself, I am fully assured that the military (people I talk and associate with) support for President Trump is overwhelming. Polls are as worthless as as the organizations who report them. Each pollster selects his "pool', formulates the questions, and makes adjustments to the raw data to reflect the makeup of the population as they see it. It's not science at all, it's art. Some pollsters for whatever reason try to get a real answer; others try to get a poll result that promotes an agenda (called a push poll.)

It is only the 0bama selected politically correct elite in the military that oppose PDT and his tenure. For obvious reasons. It has no support in the rank and file as well as the public at large. That is why the recent desperate and pathetic attempt to create a fissure between Trump and the military evaporated like desert snow.

I am thankful for these military leaders who answered the call, took the oath, and stand tall now beside our great president.

That has to hit the dirty democrats upside the head with a 2 x 4, especially the ones who manufactured the rumor that the President slandered the military. They conveniently forgot that the Kreepy Kenyan dissed the military for an entire eight years but that was perfectly fine since he was... you know.

You would have to look at these one-by-one. For example, the 'military' people who have served in political roles can quickly succumb to the swamp. Line soldiers jumping out of airplanes have a different view of reality. It's beyond question that the president has been subjected to horrific, unfair charges and actions and has been very successful in rebuilding the military, extricating us from endless wars, and in foreign policy in general. It is just as obvious that Obama/Biden downsized the military and pursued foreign policy initiatives that have proven to be disastrous.

And Mattis still trying a military coup. He should be called back to active duty, put in front of a military court of law, found guilty of treason and sedition, stripped of his rank and his pension and sent to Leavenworth where the boys will take care of the rest.

Trump should fire 235 of the current military leaders and replace them with those who support him.

The Army and Marines Brass brought shame to our country rebelling against the C-in-C. Mullens, Esper, Mattis, McCrystal, Allen, Powell, Petraeus, Kelly, McMaster, all lost an opportunity to keep their mouths closed.

Military officers in the higher ranks are only vestigial soldiers: they're politicians. They schmoozed and kissed butt to get those cushy positions in DC.

These guys are all blue hairs and never had to drink the Kool-Aid like many in my class did (1979). The only guy I know is Fred "Assassin" McCorckle. He started the Marine Aviation Weapons Training School (MAWTS) in Yuma after the Iranian rescue disaster. Good guy and really good pilot.
