First Lady Melania Trump wowed in white while hosting a socially-distanced roundtable discussion to raise awareness for sickle cell disease (SCD) on Monday. The White House even was held in the State Dining Room just a few weeks after President Donald Trump formally recognized September as Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Month. Melania cut a stylish figure in a $945 white belted midi dress by Max Mara, and she added a pop of color to her sleek look with her sky-high orange stilettos. (Photos)

Looking at her image in white and orange one can imagine that this woman is going to grow old very gracefully.

Absolutely stunning; comparing her to the Mooch is like comparing a classy former professional model to a water buffalo.

Not a midi dress, but she looks beautiful as always. She may have been born in Slovenia, but she is the epitome of the clean-cut American woman. Elegantly simple clothes, beautiful untormented hair, immaculately groomed. Gorgeous...

Thank you, Lord, for Melania.
Beauty and grace are power, the granola dress pussy hat brigade know it, but they fear to emulate it.

First Lady Melania is so much more than a fashion model... though I love seeing her pictures, I know she and her small staff are doing lots of good work for the US... besides supporting our Great President. She is an inspiration and a treasure.

Fashionable women have worn white after Labor Day for a long long time. It’s not the bleached white look of cotton, but the soft winter white of wool. And never white shoes, which are tacky in any season unless they’re sandals or tennies/sport shoes.

Why does the author think readers must know the cost of a garment? Ignorance.

A disease which affects mostly blacks, but she will get no credit for it and will be accused of cultural appropriation.

FTA:
In 2018, President Trump signed into law the Sickle Cell Disease and Other Heritable Blood Disorders Research, Surveillance, Prevention, and Treatment Act, a prevention and treatment program that authorizes initiatives for research.
This year, on August 31, he formally recognized September as Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Month.
Few have even heard of this dreadful inherited condition, let alone tried to study it and perhaps find an answer.

The Daily Mail is completely hung up on the price of garments worn by the women that they feature in their anti-Trump fake newspaper. Who the heck cares about how much such garments cost.
In the case of Melania Trump, the fashion designers probably all know her size and send her a copy of their creations at no charge, hoping that she will wear them. As they know that if she does, the particular fashion garment will quickly sell out around the world.

We have heard from reliable sources that she shops for and buys her own clothes. After Nancy Reagan (with Mooch as the exception), I don’t believe First Ladies accept donated clothes. They are not shills for particular design houses.

I learned about sickle cell in the fifties, sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties, etc and it affects blacks only.

Remember when Richard Nixon told America he was "proud of the fact that Pat Nixon wears a good Republican cloth coat, and she's going to continue to"? Times have changed.
