Initial ratings are in for the NFL’s Sunday slate of games, and the ratings decline evident from Thursday’s kickoff continued through to the league’s marquee telecast, “Sunday Night Football.” (Further ratings for other games are not yet available.) In a tight matchup that featured one of the NFL’s top draws, “Sunday Night Football” saw sharp declines in initial ratings from 2019, according to initial results reported by Deadline. Sunday night’s Rams-Cowboys game notched a 4.7 in early ratings among the most prized demographic, adults 18-49, with 14.81 million viewers. Those numbers will rise as West Coast viewership is factored in

I can't watch and will not watch. The BM Movement is bogus, the sports casters are sickening, and the players are weenies.

There is another reason why ESPN is so hard to watch. A seriously cluttered screen and dopey Alex Rodriguez making it all about Alex Rodriguez, nattering about everything but the game. We tried to watch Dodger baseball last night and finally muted the sound. A-Rod had players mic’d and was chattering with them while they were on the field, trying to play. His egocentrism is huge...

We miss Vin Scully. He chose to go solo for his Dodger baseball calling/commentary. Focused on the game being played.
No one appears to have learned why he became a legend.

Against my personal protests, my husband put on the Patriots. The team had a rule that you stand during the Anthem, so they did. I watched that. The other team would not agree to the rule, so they waited in the locker room. heh
As i walked through the room, i heard roaring crowds! ...from the EMPTY stadium. lol, lol. c'mon maaan! they piped in crowd sound effects (will we ever believe our ears --and eyes-- again?) The Pats won. Brady goofed up in Florida, too bad. Football lost me (it had a very tenuous hold on me, to be frank) as i watched Patriots games and began learning about the game. What good is mashed potatoes without the salt? flavorless. (i borrow from a Parable).
In short, good riddance. (except Coach Belichick, Bob Kraft and the Patriots)

I'm sick and tired of these self-righteous, semi-educated idiots "protesting". How about doing something of substance? Take some of your millions and sponsor an inner city school. You want to raise up the under class? Linking arms on the playing field means nothing. Put you money where your mouth is and actually do something to solve the problem. Butt wipes!!!!!

It will get worst.
So bad that the day will come when the networks will tell the NFL they will have to pay the networks to telecast the games.

I didn't watch any of the Cowboys game, and that's got to be a first for me - to miss a Cowboys opener. But I didn't want to give the NFL the satisfaction of another watcher to their 'Unity' display. I'd like to have each of the NFL players watch that video of the BLM mob in front of the Compton hospital partying and celebrating because two sheriff's deputies were ambushed and shot. I'd like each of the players to tell us that they express Unity with this!

Camera shots of Tom Brady made him looked like a whipped puppy. Tom, you should have retired after last season when you were ridinh high. Age is a major factor working against you, among other things, such as a different team. Bow out, gracefully.

We ALL know why the major sports are suffering a decline...it's because they dis-respect The Flag and the National Anthem and bend a knee to the Burn Loot Murder and Anti-fa-la-la twits..at least for me and mine...we no longer watch ANY of their activities...I'd rather have a tooth pulled without novacaine....

The ratings decline will continue and probably accelerate. NFL, NBA and MLB hitched their wagons to BLM. A group of thugs and thugettes who only care about rioting, looting and causing major mayhem. Need to change their initials to RLM.
Let's get one from each to be interviewed separately. Ask..list the top 10 things you wish to achieve with racial justice protests.....no platitudes, catchy phrases...specific, measurable items in complete, intelligible sentences. The silence will be deafening.

We didn't watch NFL. I'm out. Funny though, if the Detroit Lions would have spent all of their time practicing instead of the "social justice" maybe they wouldn't have lost... again. I don't care anymore anyway......

I don’t know which is worse, the Barely Lucid Mob, or the fawning woke white liberals who pander to them. Sports used to offer a brief fun escape from reality, but now they shove stupid black racism into your face. And the phony crowd noise to make up for the empty seats is another insulting joke. It’s like needing to add a laugh track to an unfunny sitcom.
So NFL..bye bye! Enjoy your bling until you fade from view.

The ways the NFL has botched this knelling and social justice behavior will be taught in MBA classes as an excellent example of how NOT to run a business. The NFL is piling error upon error upon error. They don't have a clue. I question whether they will ever get it.
