Winter Park, Fla.—Winter Park Police say a 70-year-old man was beaten after he asked another man to social distance. In surveillance video obtained by FOX 35 News, the suspect looks to be dragging the victim out of the store by his hair. Police say the violence erupted after the victim asked Rovester Ingram to step away from him because he wasn’t wearing a mask.(Snip) Police say the beating went from inside the store and then back outside. Police say, “The victim was on his stomach as Ingram repeatedly punched him on his back, then spat on him and kicked him in the head

The Stale Saltine is in the hospital with serious injuries including broken bones. Video shows another African male stroll by the beatdown with scarcely any reaction, as only BLACK LIVES MATTER in New AmeriKKKa.

If you want to social distance, just step away. Telling a stranger what to do is not always a good idea, not these days.

I’m finding myself having thoughts I’ve never had in my 74 years. As evidenced by the man walking by and doing nothing, it’s obvious some people have no respect for human life. Then I cannot have respect for their life. This idiot, if released, will do it again and again until some officer shoots him, then the cop’s life will be ruined. Ingram is a despicable animal. Treat him as such.

With the dems kissing the BM Movement's butt they feel empowered to do absolutely anything they want to without fear of reprisal. They have gotten away with murder and they will continue to display their inability to live like civilized citizens. And the man who just watches and walks over the victim and goes on his way. Dear Lord. Like it or not the black community has anger issues on a good day. They will shoot each other over the most benign slight. Unless they are arrested, KEPT in jail with no bond, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law this will not end. Allowing these feral thugs to roam the streets creating chaos unchallenged will only beget more of the same.

Well said, #5. I don't know about other states but in Georgia, it's a felony to attack someone over the age of 65. I am 78 but I also carry a .380 in a "Sneaky Pete" holster. If I get the chance, these 'Rovesters' won't get the chance to face a jury.

Agree with #3 ... if the elderly man felt uncomfortable with the distancing, he should have just stepped away himself. With boiling points so low these days, there is no point in needlessly engaging with anyone for any reason.

Way to go #3 and #9. Blame the victim. You have no idea whether or not the elderly man was at the counter attempting to pay for his items and if the other man crowded him up from behind, in which case it would have been necessary for the other man to back away. The reason Trump wins is because he fights against the tendency of conservatives to always cower and apologize in the face of the others' aggression. While the whole mask mandate is frustrating and the most vulnerable among us, such as a 70 year old man, should try as much as possible to remain in lockdown, the elderly have to go out sometime I would imagine simply to buy supplies. The other man could have just as easily complied with the elderly man's request rather than the elderly man not request it. Certainly, dragging him out of the store by the hair, pummeling him repeatedly, and finally kicking him in the head is in no way a commensurate response to a social distancing request, even if asked impolitely.

#12, no one is blaming the victim. He didn't deserve to get beaten for making a simple request. But people need to think before they approach strangers about mask-wearing and social distancing. What were the chances, really, of his contracting the virus in that situation? Presumably, he was wearing a mask. On the other hand, the chance of some crazy person lashing out when asked to do something are not small. Think of the daily reports of road rage incidents. People need to look out for themselves and not depend on the behavior of others.

An analysis conducted by The Associated Press and Chalkbeat shows that districts where the vast majority of students are white are more than three times as likely to be open for some in-person learning compared to school districts that enroll mostly students of color. While that stark divide often reflects the preferences of parents, it’s one that could further exacerbate inequities in education. Responses from 677 school districts surveyed by the AP and Chalkbeat found that most students will begin the school year online. But the survey shows that race is a strong predictor of which public schools are offering in-person instruction

I woke up in the morning wondering about the dark red rays coming from behind the curtain. While I expected the darkened sky, the degree of darkness and the fact that I couldn’t smell fire surprised me. Northern California fires have become increasingly common over the last decade as a consequence of mismanaging the environment. Native Americans staged controlled burns to safeguard their villages and create favorable hunting conditions. We failed to emulate that practice, and, as even Mother Jones concedes, so much fuel accumulated in the wilderness that megafires began burning year after year.
