Retired judge John Gleeson argued Friday that the Department of Justice (DOJ) should not be allowed to drop charges against former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn because his guilt is “obvious” and the DOJ has become “corrupt.”
Gleeson was appointed by Judge Emmet Sullivan to submit an amicus curiae (“friend of the court”) brief arguing against prosecutors’ motion to drop charges against Michael Flynn after exculpatory evidence emerged following a DOJ review.Sullivan originally sought amicus briefs arguing why he should not find Flynn in criminal contempt of court for changing his original guilty plea, for the crime of lying to the FBI, to a plea of not guilty after exculpatory evidence

Here is a judge who hasn't seen the evidence submitted in a court of law and has already found this man guilty. His opinion is not a judicial opinion--it is a biased political opinion.
He has no business being a Judge.

In a just world, Gleeson would've been struck by lightning for his hypocrisy. And I'm hoping that after wins the election, he'll pardon Flynn and appoint him new head of the FBI.

Flynn does not want a pardon. He and his very capable lawyer, Sidney Powell, want charges dropped with prejudice (so that charges cannot be raised again) and for those who legally assaulted him to be charged with crimes sufficient to lose their licenses (and every dime they own). Flynn needs justice and a pardon won't give him that.

This is a judge who is intentionally pretending that he doesn't know exactly how plea agreements are used every day in American courts when prosecutors and defendants reach mutually beneficial agreements. The prosecutors get to notch another Trump associate conviction on their belt and Gen. Flynn keeps his son from being hounded into bankruptcy by federal charges that eventually proved to be bogus. Just another day in the life of Lady Justice.
The fact that this partisan fraud continues to pursue this fiction even after the gross abuse of prosecutorial ethics that went into its fabrication has been exposed only highlights how corrupt he really is. Spare me the sanctimonious defense of this judicial travesty. These Trump haters are truly nuts.

At this point a pardon is not justice. A pardon would imply guilt. Hopefully, justice will come through the court system and when over, Flynn can then sue for restitution. If Trump should happen to lose the election, and the Flynn case still unsettled, then pardon Flynn as one of your last official acts.

Justice would be the public hanging of all involved in attempting to railroad Flynn. And I mean everybody. After a fair 5-min trial.

the audacity of these people is astounding. they can only hold on to these words and decisions because they are being 1.) very heavily compensated or 2.) they are in fear of their lives or 3.) they're just plain crooked. I kind of lean toward #2 knowing the clintons and soetoro's are involved

Rabid partisan judge picks rabid partisan judge to back up his decision. It's beyond time to remove Sullivan from office and to remove the law licenses for both of them.

Never forget and arm yourself. There is no Justice from Federal Judges in the USA. Washington D.C. is corrupted by American-African juries.

Flynn should ask for a change of venue, he will never be treated fairly in the DC sewer. The so called judges should be extreme concerned with corruption at the Obama WH & JD... not Flynn.

This is a sad ending for a man I once admired. He was part of the hard-working FBI team that finally brought the evidence leading to the successful prosecution and conviction of John Gotti. Elevated to a judgeship, and as far as I know, served with honor. Now this.
To quote the great Al Pacino, "No, your Honor, YOU'RE out of order! This whole COURT is out of order!"

Gleeson is a democrat first and foremost and is just one of thousands of corrupt people participating in the coup. He is willing to risk any good reputation he may have had to get rid of Trump.

Anyone READ the brief?
This court has good reason NOT to buy anyone's story. Do we agree the DOJ/FBI was corrupt and railroaded Flynn? Then why doesn't Barr come to the court and say so?
Do we agree that Flynn pled GUILTY twice, to two different judges, under OATH?
"Flynn has repeatedly confessed (including under oath and penalty of perjury) that he knew full well he was lying to the FBI. Moreover, he has made such confessions in a multitude of settings, and to multiple investigators and officials, before and after his guilty plea." I know, to protect his son...would that work for a mob boss? How about for you?
Everyone in this case is lying along the line. The need for a trial was avoided with Flynn's twice pleading guilty. Let's get to the bottom of this. What is everyone afraid of? Who or what's being shielded from the public?
