A Rhode Island professor with a history of incendiary comments against conservatives is under fire this week for appearing to suggest that the fatal shooting of a Patriot Prayer supporter during unrest in Portland last month was morally justified.
The comment from Erik Loomis, a history professor at the University of Rhode Island, came in response to a comment on his blog post: “Why Was Michael Reinoehl Killed?” The post questioned whether police deliberately “murdered” 48-year-old Michael Reinoehl, the man who fatally shot Aaron “Jay” Danielson on Aug. 29, the night Trump supporters clashed with backers of Black Lives Matter in Portland.

Under the same logic, the shooting of any liberal would be morally justified, because liberals are fascists.
This lunatic may be on to something.

A History Professor who cannot identify what a Fascist is should be fired. Folks, send your children to this school is wasting your money.

So if someone who is pro-life kills an abortion provider because that person was a baby murderer, would the left be all right with it? No they wouldn't.

I would challenge this over-educated bigot to define fascism. What he's really saying is, "It's ok to kill anyone who doesn't think like me."

Dangerous Prof. Loomis is clearly a true believer, can he act on his hate or merely spur on others to do so?
You'd think he would understand the notion of a two-way street.

Reply #9 reminds us that Professor Asshat want us to think like he does. BLM wants us to look like they do, and Antifa wants us to all be ugly whyte womyn, overweight and unloved.
It isn't virtue signaling to quote the 6th commandment.

In Loomis' mind, anything goes, including murder, so long as it aligns with your personal 'moral code.'
In other words, Loomis supports total anarchy, because only in such a system is every individual allowed to live by their uniquely personal moral code.
In the civilized world, OTOH, we have laws in place to enforce universally accepted morality on the deviant fringe...such as those who decide to murder for political reasons.

Congratulations professor Loomis you have just taught one of history's greatest and most important lessons. You have recreated for all to see exactly that which led six million Jews to their extermination. Bravo, no lecture could ever serve as such an impactful teaching moment

The article refers to Loomis as a professor of 'history.'
History of what, exactly? Failed social systems? The impact of hallucinogenic drugs on rational thought?

Socialist/Communists believe the end justifies the means... "social justice" so they stay in power over the rest of the peons.
I find their audacity and claim to "smartness" very offensive. They are NOT the ones who make America great!

It seems that Prof. Erik Loomis has a very sick and perverted "moral" code. The BLM and Antifa rioters hunted down and deliberately “murdered” Patriot Prayer supporter Aaron “Jay” Danielson and bragged about it. Loomis calls this morally justified! When police tried to arrest Michael Reinoehl, the man who “murdered” Danielson, he opened fire on the police and was fatally shot in the exchange of gun fire. This Loomis calls murder!
Just to clarify, BLM and Antifa rioters are the "Fascists."

Loony Leftists never see how their crazy proclamations can be applied to them. Everything they do is from their point of view instead of well considered law or ethics or morality. They are completely adrift of all the components of a stable society. No wonder they are rioting.

The ignorant uneducated on the left and this stupid professor of 'history' accuse us of being what they are. They are the Nazis, fascist, racist but they sling out words that they don't know the meaning of. One thing is sure this guy, Loomis, is a professor of hate I have my doubts about the history part.

It must be rooted out, removed and destroyed without mercy so that the day comes in this country when there mere thought of a liberal notion will turn the bowels to water.

My daughter knew Jay personally. He was a nice guy. Having idiots on the left smear him when they never even met him, as this professor has done, has been very painful for them, on top of having to deal with his beng murdered. Ironically, Jay would have been happy to know that Trump mentioned him by name since he liked Trump

#23 has a solid argument. Given the misery that liberals have dished out to us thus far and the promise of future grief, would we be justified in wiping them off the face of the Earth today? It's either going to be one big mass killing or many smaller skirmishes over the next few years but I think it's safe to say that we can no longer coexist. They were almost tolerable until they started the violence. Violence can only be stopped with greater violence, in spite of what our brilliant professors are teaching. Once they are all gone, the brilliant professors will all be gone too.

Read The Devil and Karl Marx. This professor is the exact kind of evil, satanic evil Karl Marx professed and believed in. Watch the latest Glenn Beck special (yeah, you have to join Blaze, and yeah, it's really crappy the way it's set up) about the 27 states that are teaching eight year olds IN SCHOOLS to watch porn while they're at home, oh yeah, it's going on NOW called CSE and IT is satanic. If you get the kids' text books and show it someone else YOU can get arrested for child pornography, but in school it's legal because it's "education arts" and legal in classrooms. This URI prof and his evil is just the tip of the iceberg. It's going on full tilt and has been for years BY DESIGN.

Be grateful for the heads up from 'Erik.' IF you are ever in his presence and he finds out you support President Turmp, then makes a sudden move, strike the lethal blow first. I think this unapologetic endorsement of murder for any Trump supporter means we all have a justifiable self defense card.

Then I guess it would be OK to kill this history professor, according to his "morals".
Fortunately, for the prof, I have higher moral standards.
