Absurd. Sandy Cortez isn´t heroic by any standard, and now we know that Marvel has jumped the shark. Rashida Tlaib, really? And Elizabeth Warren is as cynical and self-serving as any person I can think of. Where is Ilyan Omar?!? Some heroes.

No surprise. DC comics and it’s flagship hero, Superman, have been left of center since he came on the scene in the 30s when the country was seriously flirting with communism. Truth, justice and the American Way could just as easily fit in with the peace movement of the 60s and Antifa today. So now the squad can go battle those criminal, right wing thugs and their oligarch bosses wearing mink spats and riding in their Dusinbergs.

There are plenty of heroic women through history. Why do they have to spoil it, with fakes? More reasonably, they should mention some of the women the Democrats attempt to intimidate, such as Sarah Sanders, or Paula Jones or Kathleen Wiley, who hung tough even in the face of physical threats? Instead they gush over a failed bar tender with a nasty mouth, A muslim who fled her destroyed country to try a repeat, here, and a fauxahontus liar who is less native American than the average American. Hillary, whose claims to fame include Rosewater, a dead aid and later murdered diplomats she could have saved. They have a funny idea of what constitutes a hero. Maybe that's why they're so messed up!

#2, Marvel is a whole different genre of superhero comics. DC comics have sunk into the morass of swamp and they aren't anything to do with Marvel comics. Even the movies of Marvel are better, maybe because Stan Lee controlled the content.

As #24 correctly points out, Wonder Woman is a DC character, not Marvel. And she is, indeed, a wise and noble character unlike the females depicted in this issue. (BTW, Wonder Woman's creator was a part-time Harvard psychologist and full-time weirdo named William Moulton Marston. He helped invent one of the first lie detector tests, which is reflected in WW's "lasso of truth.") Marvel is a completely different roster of characters and, again in agreement with #24, Marvel Studios has managed to generally keep politics mostly out of their movies. (Black Panther is the one exception and, in my opinion, suffers for it.) Having said all that, the tradition of politician and celebrities making guest appearances (sometimes unnamed) in comic books goes way back. An issue of Superman featuring a cameo appearance by President Kennedy had to be pulled from production when the President was assassinated. Muhammed Ali fought Superman in another issue. And a character drawn as David Letterman appears under a different name in DC's finest graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns." It was written and drawn by Frank Millar, whose politics are as far from left wing as you can get.

Famed Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein (“Woodstein”) have recently weighed in on the use of anonymous sources in the reporting of President Trump’s alleged slurs of deceased soldiers. While they use their iconic status to support the “truth” spoken by such unnamed witnesses, they unwittingly prove the profound incapability of modern journalism in its assumed role as the arbiter of truth. There can be no better example of this than Woodstein’s discussion of their use of anonymous sources in Watergate. These sources, Woodstein argues, were all proven truthful and brought down a sitting president. Therefore, they contend, the present anonymous sources must be
