Target Corp. plans to increase its number of Black employees by 20% over the next three years as part of its growing efforts to build a more diverse and inclusive company, executives said. The Minneapolis retailer on Thursday announced its latest commitment to racial equity as it also made public more detailed information about the ethnic and gender makeup of its employees and leaders. Target’s total workforce last year was 360,000, with 25% of employees Latino, 15% Black, 5% Asian and 5% people who identified as mixed race, American Indian or other underrepresented groups. However, the diversity is less the higher the position,

Ever since Attorney General Barr appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham to investigate the origins of the Russia collusion probe, Trump supporters have been waiting for the bomb to drop. And waiting. And waiting. But nothing ever happens.
Judicial Watch’s founder Tom Fitton thinks that conservatives are being scammed. Instead of an investigation, it’s just another Washington cover-up. I suspect (or, maybe, hope), though, that Barr and Durham are holding their fire because of the election.
Tom Fitton, whose organization doggedly uncovers documents the Swamp wants to hide, was on Fox News’ Lou Dobbs Tonight. He is concerned that the John Durham investigation is a sham

According to last February’s ratings, 93 percent of us are already not watching the Academy Awards. Now Oscar is wondering: How do I whittle down that last 7 percent? Answer: woke quotas.
That thunk you heard coming out of La-La Land on Tuesday was the sound of the Academy grandly planting its face in the sidewalk by announcing it was formally rejecting the pursuit of artistic quality in favor of a byzantine quota system.
Starting with 2024 films, your project can’t even be considered for a Best Picture Oscar unless it meets a set of diversity targets

The Houston Texans remained in the locker room during the Star-Spangled Banner and the reigning-champion Chiefs lined up for a singing of 'the black national anthem' on Thursday night as the NFL opened its season in Kansas City under dramatically different circumstances than any other campaign in league history. Not only was the limited crowd of 17,000 fans asked to follow social distancing guidelines amid the coronavirus pandemic, but spectators were also prohibited from wearing Native American headdresses and war paint as the NFL attempts to combat racial injustice following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody on May 25.

A Rhode Island professor with a history of incendiary comments against conservatives is under fire this week for appearing to suggest that the fatal shooting of a Patriot Prayer supporter during unrest in Portland last month was morally justified.
The comment from Erik Loomis, a history professor at the University of Rhode Island, came in response to a comment on his blog post: “Why Was Michael Reinoehl Killed?” The post questioned whether police deliberately “murdered” 48-year-old Michael Reinoehl, the man who fatally shot Aaron “Jay” Danielson on Aug. 29, the night Trump supporters clashed with backers of Black Lives Matter in Portland.

Former Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann fired back Thursday at an ACLU associate and a college professor who warned that he was “dangerous” and a “provocateur” and should be watched closely when he begins his freshman year at Kentucky’s Transylvania University, telling the pair that he is a “pro-life conservative Republican college student who won’t let cancel culture silence me” in a Fox News op-ed.
On Wednesday, The Daily Wire reported that Sandmann was the target of a two-pronged attack that began when a graduate of Transylvania University, who became an associate attorney for the ACLU, warned that Sandmann’s presence at the school was a “bit of a stain”

“I don’t know what happened to Jon,” Jane Fonda told Howard Stern about Jon Voight in a Wednesday interview. “We were pretty close. He was my best friend among Hollywood people. We won Academy Awards together for Coming Home.”
But now, because the star of Midnight Cowboy, Deliverance, and The Champ sees the world through a new lens, Fonda rules out the possibility of any friendship. “I couldn’t, no,” she says of holding a friendship with someone who holds very different political views. “I couldn’t.” “He changed into an extreme right-winger,” which she called “very sad.” Others who recall the half-century friendship between the liberal Democrat Henry Fonda

Two Delaware women accused of accosting a 7-year-old boy outside of the Democratic National Convention and taking his MAGA hat are facing up to 15 years in prison for a hate crime.(Snip for tweet)Yes, it was “shameful.” It was also mean, stupid, small-minded, and wrong. But do the women really deserve to spend 15 years in prison for it?

Backlash against the French film “Cuties” continues to escalate, with objectors now demanding Netflix be canceled in response to the movie’s perceived sexualization of children. “Unbelievable that they released ‘Cuties’. So child porn is ok now Netflix? Raise your hand if you agree this is disgusting,” wrote one Twitter user, using the hashtag #CancelNetflix. The Twitter campaign against the streaming giant follows its release in August of a heavily criticized trailer and poster for the flick. The online outrage continues despite Netflix releasing a statement saying “we’re deeply sorry for the inappropriate artwork that we used” to promote the film. “Netflix is comfortable

As violent and destructive antifa and Black Lives Matter riots continue to ravage American cities like Portland and Kenosha, a self-described communist who plotted to blow up the U.S. Capitol in the 1970s suggested that America’s second Civil War has already started. “Am I the only one, or do you feel eerily that we’re living in Kansas, 1859, and that tensions are boiling over, but only years later will people say, ‘Yes, the Civil War began there and then?'” Ayers posted on Facebook. He posted the same statement on his website, BillAyers.org.

The year 2020 will not go down in history as anyone’s favorite year. It had something for everyone in terms of the misery factor. Moreover, when I think about the misery inflicted during the year, it was almost entirely from Democrat schemes. That’s why it’s so utterly delightful to watch Biden’s spokesman, TJ Ducklo, squirm, duck, and bob when Bret Baier asks him whether Biden relies on a teleprompter to get through interviews. (snip)To fully appreciate how funny Bret Baier’s interview is, you have to watch some videos showing Biden visibly struggling to read from teleprompters

For months now, it’s been clear that Joe Biden has been using a teleprompter for supposedly off-the-cuff campaign interviews and conversations.
In April, when Bernie endorsed Joe Biden, they had a live stream conversation on Periscope where it was clear Biden was reading off a script. Since then there’s been a lot more evidence of Biden reading off a teleprompter, and rather poorly, even during interviews with the media.
While appearing on Fox News on Thursday, Biden’s national press secretary, TJ Ducklo, had an opportunity to go on the record on this issue but refused.
“Does Joe Biden ever use a teleprompter during local interviews or to answer Q&A with supporters?” Baier asked.
Comments:
Nice and clear, for those who may have missed what's really happening. (Nobody here, for sure).
