Vice President Joe Biden once again dodged questions from the press Sunday, walking from Mass to his motorcade while a pool reporter yelled “Mr. Vice President, come back to us!”(Snip)What is unusual are some of the people who are defending his dodging of reporters and difficult questions, among them The Atlantic’s Edward-Isaac Dovere, who claimed Biden was visiting his son’s grave and shamed the President Donald Trump’s campaign for criticizing Biden. Worse still than flacking for Biden when he is supposed to be reporting on him, is that there’s no evidence Dovere’s version of events happened at all.(Snip)The church’s only doors exit into the old cemetery, so any picture

It's high time for the POTUS to start suing these Journolistas for their false hit pieces. If they can't find something they make up something outrageous. Beau was the only 'decent' Biden, and I think POTUS knows that.

Journalists should be held accountable for their lies. They cannot hide behind the freedom of the press any longer. Freedom of the press is NOT freedom to lie.

Edward-Isaac has done this before:
March 2019 headline at the Intercept:
"The Crux of the Accusations Against David Sirota From the Atlantic’s Edward-Isaac Dovere is False
Nobody should want a media environment where distortions and fabrications of the type the Atlantic just published can thrive.”

#1, as a public figure, PDT can’t sue journalists for what they say or write. As a private citizen, Melania can.
Biden is only going to mass as a photo op. I’m disgusted by any priest who would allow him to receive the Eucharist.

Dovere’s wife is a former Democrat campaign fundraiser.

If at first you don't succeed, try try again. Change a few victim names and start the accusations again. Boy, the dems are a real brain trust.

If it wasn't already taken, Atlantic should change their name to Mad Magazine.

I beg to differ: Whether Biden was visiting his son's grave or not, he was in the churchyard area where his son's grave is located, so to for an observer to characterize his actions or gait as "meandering" when in fact his walk was anything but "meandering," was in fact mocking the man in an entirely inappropriate context. For shame, Trump campaign-- and that's from someone who is on YOUR side. MAGA, Baby!

According to democrats, it is ok for them to lie, threaten, insult, cheat to change election results, and criticize the President, but it is unholy for any Republican to point out the truth about them.

Biden, the Catholic that is 100% behind Planned Parenthood? This is why I give to my local parish, only. The church hierarchy sold their souls years ago. Installing pope Frankie was the final straw for this Catholic.

It seems that every time Biden gives a talk and goes off script that he brings up his deceased son, and mentions that his son was a military officer (lawyer) in Iraq. By leaving it at that, Biden insinuates that his son was a military hero who died in the war. But that is not true, as his son died many years after leaving the military after suffering from brain cancer. Biden has a long history during political events of bringing up long ago family tragedies, that many families experience when their loved ones pass away from accident or illness, so you have to figure that by Biden doing that he is trying to project himself as a sympathetic political figure.

Ah well, the military schitck didn't work, so roll out another one...the Atlantic isn't fit to start a fire in my fireplace...or catch bird droppings, or pick up doggie dooley...

Actually, #4, a public figure can file and potentially win a libel suit - it's just near impossible. The standard for a public figure to prevail is proving the story false, with the publisher acting with “actual malice”, i.e. knowing that the statements were false, and/or with reckless disregard of the truth. (In this instance, Trump was not libeled.)
I think Melania is also considered a "public figure". She is part of the political scene, appearing at campaign events, giving speeches, and has expressed views as FLOTUS.

Honestly, when you consider what all members of this family were up to as Beau lay dying, all I can feel is disgust.

The only reason Joe Biden would attend Mass if for a photo-op. The Catholic church has lost all credibility by not excommunicating Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi for their pro abortion stance.

#12, while I give credit to Beau Biden for his military service, it seems to me that it was to give some heft to his father's political ambitions and to offset the lack of military service by his father. Same reason Joe manipulated the system to get a special cushy commission in the Navy for the nere-do-well son Hunter. Hunter being the one kicked out because of drug abuse. So now Joe does not have anyone to trot out on stage in uniform to visually imply that he is worthy of commanding the non-lawyer troops.

#17. I also give Beau Biden credit for his service in the Delaware National Guard as a military lawyer in a unit that was deployed to Iraq. I don’t think that his National Guard service had anything to do with his father Joseph Biden, but was an effort by Beau when he joined the national guard to punch his own military service ticket that would be useful to him as he pursued a future career in politics. At the time Beau Biden joined up he had no idea that his Delaware National Guard unit was going to be activated and deployed to Iraq. As time went on Beau Biden also did not know that he would be so unfortunate to suffer from a fatal cancer that took his life. If that tragedy did not occur I think that Beau Biden would have embarked upon a DC political career.

So Dovere decided to use Biden’s using the only exit from the church, which goes through the churchyard cemetery, as a device to say that he was visiting his son’s grave. Bedford tells the whole story and includes video. Dovere is despicable. So is the Atlantic for paying him for and publishing this rubbish. NB: Joe did not stop anywhere in the cemetery as he headed for the parking lot after mass.
