Agenda driven, anyone surprised? In " Hamilton" , white founding fathers played by black men. Would a bio of MLK have King played by a white man? Of course not. Actresses are referred to as " actors". People used to "win" the Oscar, for years now it's been " The Oscar goes to....." so as not to hurt anyone's feelings. With so many awards shows it seem like it all about participation trophys. I used to wait every year to watch the Academy Awards, back when good films were still being judged by honest criteria. I haven't watched one of those train wrecks in years. Just a bunch of self-absorbed "stars" who think the whole world cares about their stupid opinions on race relations, global warming and politics in general. The Academy Awards can join major sports franchises on the ash heap of American history.

By 2024, Hollywood, like the NBA, will be a fully owned subsidiary of the Chinese Communist Party. So I cannot wait to see if the patriarchal misogynist white male oppressor racist fascist Oscar statuette will still be the award handed out. Since Oscar sports no face or genitalia, however, it will no doubt remain as the industry’s top achievement symbol, though a snappy Mao hat might add some needed woke flare.

#17 - I was thinking the opposite: by 2024 we will be at the end of President Trump's second term, and hopefully facing 4 more years as reparations for his first term that was criminally obstructed. Hollywood will have to adapt to the new MAGA culture or die. I'm betting the Benjamins will sway them, if not common sense or their financial backers. The White talent that they cut loose are not going to sit at home and cry, at least not the self-directed conservative ones. Hollywood was necessary for the movies 100 years ago due to its climate and number of sunny days. Just like big business has found they no longer need to concentrate hundreds of workers in downtown high-rises, movie makers are no longer tied to Southern California. Good old American competition will either revive Hollywood, or the work and profits will go elsewhere. I find it rather ironic the Hollywood "woke" elite are instituting production codes. The same industry that chaffed under the Hayes Commission from the early '30s until they overthrew it in the 1960's, now has their commie codes to replace them. I guess it all depends on who makes the rules and when they are made. Most importantly, people who don't like the rules can find another game...especially in Trump's America. MAGA - Whether they like it or not.
