While this story hasn’t garnered as much national attention as George Floyd or Jason Blake, it’s quickly picking up steam. Back in March of this year, Daniel Prude, a 41-year-old Black man from Rochester, New York, died after being taken into police custody. The fact that he was naked in the middle of a street (obviously unarmed) and that the police had put a bag over his head until he was apparently asphyxiated made for an ugly set of visuals. He was pronounced brain dead at a local hospital and died roughly one week later. Recently, video of Prude’s arrest showed up in the media
I live in this area and the family or the family's attorney leaked this to the press a few days ago. This was and is a calculated attempt to destabilize our country. Somebody wake up Trump and tell him the USA is burning and it's time to declare this an insurrection.

We lived in Rochester during the 70s. My wife was shocked to see this news. I told her that the city was 80% white then It is 43% white now. Coincidental? Causative?

Rochester, NY. Birthplace of Kodak, Xerox, Bausch and Lomb and many other Fortune 500 companies. It used to be called Smugtown because it was a wealthy small city with many of the best cultural institutions of a larger city. Then it started electing black rat mayors. The last Republican mayor was in 1973. From 1993 to 2005 Bill Johnson rode the city right down in the rankings from one of the richest small cities to where it is today. One of his bright ideas was a 'fast' ferry that the city spent $48 million on. It had one ship that could not carry trucks and saved all of 20 minutes vs driving from Rochester to Toronto. Of course it failed, but he did ok and some of his closest friends made a couple of million so that's par for the course these days.
Mayor Lovely Warren, real name, can always deflect criticism over the current riots by saying, 'yes, but Buffalo is worse.' The rats have taken Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and drained all the wealth into the pit of NYC. No one holds them accountable. cuomo and his thug family have been a cancer in the state for decades. RIGHT behind them is the Republican party. Every time there is a serious chance that a Republican of worth might challenge the NYC stranglehold, they cut that candidate off at the knees. cuomo would have lost two elections ago, but the RNC did literally nothing to support a challenger with a chance. Of course this is all on a base of defeated, dumb, often brainwashed voters who are either insane enough to believe rats have the answer to effective, constructive, government or they give up and don't vote because the NYC rats will win anyway. That and they think voting rolls mean you will serve on a jury. Nope, it's your driver's license, but who cares the state is on fire.

So I'm guessing he was another model citizen.

Rochester will not turn into Portland. Rochester is Rochester. It was a slowly dying city long before Portland started its self-inflicted slide. In Rochester, the first hard freezes come in September. The protests will not continue in Rochester because the rioters are weaklings and they are cowardly unless they have at least a 10 to 1 advantage.

This really sickens me. My maternal great grandparents emigrated from Prussian Poland back in the 1890's along with many other Poles from that area of Poland, to escape the discrimination of the German government. They all bought property off of Hudson street and started Polish Town. They arrived with nothing, yet worked hard, started businesses of their own, (my great grandfather was a saloon owner), raised families, and by the next generation their children became doctors, lawyers, business owners. My grandfathers nephew was even a war hero, losing an arm at Anzio and awarded our nations second highest military honor, the Distinguished Service Cross. We used to go to Rochester yearly with my grandparents to visit his sisters and brother. It was a beautiful city, full of hard workers. No one was looking for a hand out. The Poles faced discrimination, but were able to overcome it. Look at the city now, I could cry when I read the article.

First reply covers my point. If your stupid COVID mask won't suffocate you, there's no way a ballerina tulle spit hood would.

Governor Guido, calling Governor Guido where are you? What a great leader you've got there New York. First this moron ordered COVID-19 patients to be placed in senior care facilities leading to thousands of deaths, and then the reprobate refused to call in the National Guard to save the city of New York from the looting and destruction. Let's put it this way. If the USA was in need of an enema, New York City is where they'd insert the tube!

Like Buffalo, like Syracuse, like Troy, Utica, & Rome, Rochester is a hollow shell of a city, destroyed by socialism and environmental extremism. . Policies dictated by NYC & Albany Bolsheviks.
