Go ahead and build all the monuments you want New Yorkers, you have already set the example for tearing down. Your "historical monuments" won't mean a the upcoming generation and they'll have a lot of fun following your distaste for history.

Women are much better at tearing statues down, especially the rich white ones. If Playboy was still an item they could do a great feature, "The Girls of Antifa." Problem is, most men would not want to see them naked.

The thing that has always amused me about Chirlane is that she calls herself a “former lesbian”. I thought that was a major sin in the LGBT community - that people can’t and shouldn’t try to change their homosexuality. Some states have even forbidden people from going to psychiatrists to try and change from homosexuals to heterosexuals. Yet they let her get away with it because she meets all of the other leftist criteria. Kinda like letting Slick slide on multiple rape allegations.

Sen. Rand Paul called for the impeachment of Gov. Andrew Cuomo over the number of deaths among New York nursing home patients during the coronavirus outbreak this spring. “I think Gov. Cuomo should be impeached for what he did, for the disastrous decision he made to send patients with coronavirus back to nursing homes,” Paul (R-Ky.) said on Fox News’ “Rundown” podcast on Wednesday. “And virtually half his people who died were in nursing homes.” Paul was criticizing the lockdowns and other measures that were taken to stem the spread of the virus when he made the comments about Cuomo, a Democrat.

Cuomo called an emergency press briefing within a half hour on Wednesday night to tear into Trump for the order, which cites New York’s rising murder rate and defunding of the NYPD. “He better have an army if he thinks he’s gonna walk down the street in New York. And national Democrats need to confront it. It’s organized. It’s paid for. It’s violent. It’s not about Black lives or any lives; it’s about anarchy and destruction,” Paul wrote in a Fox News op-ed on Saturday.

The battle for the survival of the United States of America is upon us. It has not come in the form of traditional civil war. There are no uniformed armies, competing flags, or alternate constitutions. The great showdown is not being fought within the physical limits of a battlefield. It is instead happening all around us and directly to us. It defines our culture, sustains our media, and gives new shape to our public and private institutions. In this fight, there is no distinction between what was once known as the culture war and politics rightly understood.

After looters struck downtown Chicago on Sunday night, officials literally raised the bridges to prevent rioting hordes from roaming so easily. They also blocked road access and stopped public transit. So, we have come to this: a major American city is replicating the strategy of medieval castles: flood the moats and raise the drawbridges. All that is missing are crenelated battlements and Welsh longbowmen. In Portland, officials aren’t even raising the drawbridges. After more than 70 nights of rioting, Mayor Ted Wheeler’s strategy seems to be, “If you insist on doing this, we might write a strong letter.”

A recent landmark poll of 20,000 citizens undertaken by the Knight Foundation and Gallup found that Americans’ hope for and trust in an objective media is all but lost. They see not only an ever-growing partisanship in news reporting but a determination by the mainstream media to push a political agenda instead of honestly disseminating the news. While generic faith in the media has been gradually declining over recent decades, the precipitous drop in trust and questions about what motivates the mainstream media can be traced to June 2015 and Donald Trump’s entry into the presidential sweepstakes.

On Saturday, I watched football for the first time since February. The game was Arkansas State vs. Memphis. ESPN carried it. I was having a fine time watching a reasonably well played and closely contested game. But then, in the second quarter, the announcing team — Bob Wischusen and Dan Orlovsky — suddenly turned away from football to racial politics. The two began by saying how wonderful it is that college football players have become politically engaged. They commended the youngsters for trying to change America for the better. After too much of this, Wischusen and Orlovsky confessed, more or less to their white privilege.
