NFL end zones will be inscribed this season with two slogans: “It Takes All Of Us” on one end line, “End Racism” on the other. As part of its social justice awareness initiatives, the NFL also will allow similar visuals on helmets and caps.Previously announced were decals on the back of helmets, or patches on team caps, displaying names or phrases to honor victims of racism and/or police brutality. “Each player will have the option to honor an individual by displaying that person’s name via a decal on the back of their helmet,” the memo said,

A suspected member of Antifa — who was allegedly armed with a flamethrower — cried in the fetal position before his arrest during a Saturday evening protest in Green Bay, Wisconsin, according to law enforcement. WBAY reports; Matthew Banta, 23, is charged with obstructing an officer and two counts of felony bail jumping. The criminal complaint says Banta “is known to be a violent Antifa member who incites violence in otherwise relatively peaceful protests.” Police say he’s known as “Commander Red.” Corrections*

Joe Biden is in the Catch-22 of his political career, folks. If he stays in his basement, he faces the legitimate question of whether he’s fit — both physically and mentally — to assume the duties of the presidency. If he hits the campaign trail, he runs the risk of… Pittsburgh. The latter occurred on Monday, and it wasn’t a pretty sight. At all. Put another way, Joe had a very bad day in Pittsburgh. A really bad day.As my RedState colleague Nick Arama reported, Biden gave a speech in Pittsburgh on Monday that went far beyond simple gaffes and pregnant pauses. A performance that left little doubt.

These two women duked it out at LaGuardia Airport before even boarding their Delta flight to Atlanta, wild video footage shows. The two passengers were captured brawling on the floor of the jet bridge on Sunday as stunned passengers and employees looked on. Off-camera, someone can be heard saying, “Come get Aaliyah, she’s fighting,” before a woman and a man approach the pair. Destiny Davis, a passenger who shot the viral video, said she thought the combatants are “either cousins or sisters,” according to Storyful.
“Once they started to fight, there was little intervention and the police took a while to show up

History, we like to say, has a way of playing tricks on all of us. Just as Mayor Ted Wheeler of Portland was blaming President Trump for the murder of a right wing protester in Oregon’s leading city, the New York Times was preparing to stand trial in federal court on a libel complaint brought by — wait for it — Sarah Palin. It could prove illuminating for all those who are recklessly accusing their foes of being a party to violence.
Mrs. Palin, the former governor of Alaska, sued the Times for an editorial suggesting that advertisement put out by a Palin political committee

KINGS BEACH – For the second time in just over a week, a Safeway grocery store in Lake Tahoe got an unexpected visitor: a bear. Cell phone video taken by a customer Aug. 27 showed the bear inside the Safeway in the community of Kings Beach, on the north end of Lake Tahoe. The bear appears to be rummaging around the produce section.
This is the second time a bear has visited the same store this month. On Aug. 18, a bear came in, grabbed a bag of Tostitos and then walked back out, according to video obtained by CBS affiliate KUTV.
No injuries were reported in either incident.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden didn’t appear to get any kind of post-convention bounce in the polls – but he’s definitely getting a huge boost in fundraising. The former vice president’s campaign is expected to announce this week a record-breaking August haul of more than $300 million, according to a report from the New York Times. The fundraising – split between the Biden campaign, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and their shared committees – would appear to shatter the previous monthly record by a presidential campaign, which was set by then-Democratic nominee Barack Obama in September of 2008.

Oregon Democratic Governor Kate Brown decided to finally take action this week to stop the violence that has gone on in Portland for more than three months.Brown said that her “plan” was to “protect free speech and end violence in Portland” after a right-wing protester was shot to death over the weekend following a political protest. Law enforcement is reportedly investigating an Antifa and Black Lives Matter supporter in connection with the killing.“Brown said she will be asking sheriff’s deputies from both Clackamas and Washington county, as well as officers from Gresham, to support Portland Police in keeping the peace,”

A San Francisco salon owner says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) violated the city’s coronavirus lockdown order to get her hair done.Security footage taken from the small business and provided to Fox News appears to confirm the salon owner’s allegation, showing the leading House Democrat with wet hair and no mask walking through the shop on Monday. Hair salons across the city were allowed to open for outdoor services only on Monday for the first time since March.“It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in,

(Snip) The story of Kyle Rittenhouse is more than a gripping piece of news, it is a telling philosophical Rorschach test.

One of the most famous clues in a Sherlock Holmes mystery is what’s commonly referred to as “the dog that didn’t bark” or, as Holmes actually said, “The dog did nothing in the night-time.” Rasmussen Reports, which puts out a Daily Presidential Tracking Poll like clockwork, noticed that its competitors ceased barking (or, if you prefer, polling) after the two parties held their conventions. According to Rasmussen, which would know, this silence was unprecedented.
Rasmussen published a series of tweets on Monday openly snarking at its competitors for their silence. Moreover, whoever is writing Rasmussen’s tweets was not shy about identifying a reason for the other polling outfits’ unusual reticence:

A BLM protester who was arrested in Washington DC on Saturday night has also been at riots in Portland and Kenosha, police said on Monday, as they revealed they were looking into whether groups were being funded to travel to protest hot-spots. Jeremy Vajko, 27, a Microsoft engineer, was arrested on Saturday night during violent clashes between police and protesters in the nation's capital. The Metropolitan Police Department incident report into his arrest claims he was driving recklessly near the Hay Adams hotel and drove 'into a crowd of over one hundred individuals'. He spent the night in jail and was released on Sunday.
