A number of Democrat mayors from Minnesota endorsed President Donald Trump for a second term on Friday as Vice President Mike Pence campaigns in the state.
"Like many in our region, we have voted for Democrats over many decades. We have watched as our constituents' jobs left not only the Iron Range, but our country. By putting tariffs on our products and supporting bad trade deals, politicians like Joe Biden did nothing to help the working class. We lost thousands of jobs, and generations of young people have left the Iron Range in order to provide for their families with good-paying jobs elsewhere.

Reagan needed blue dog democrats to help him win his political victories. Yes, there is such a thing as a conservative Democrat. Very rare, though. I met them from time to time. They were anti-abortion, pro-police, pro-hunting, and went to church. They just were stuck on economic issues, such as regulating businesses and were enamored with taxes as a way to prosperity, according to their Keynesian philosophy.

This is a huge blow to the democrat party. I read the endorsement and it was extremely professional.

The Rangers have left the DNC. They (Iron Ore Range residents) have traditionally been far left. Now if they can convince their more modern woke lefties in the cities to join them... but that's probably asking too much.
Minneapolis has been ruined. People and buisinesses are fleeing the state. Watch real estate in the northern areas of MN/WI skyrocket in value.

Jobs are the reasons they are giving publicly, but the real reason is rioting in Minneapolis. They see their state’s largest city being destroyed and they don’t want it coming to their cities and towns. Last week PDT was tied with Biden in ultra blue Minnesota. After the RNC, Trump is probably leading - in a state which hasn’t elected a Republican since 1972.
It still astounds me that the left is so ignorant and insane that they actually believed months of rioting after months of shutdown would be a winning strategy.

I hope Mr. Trump gets the electoral college majority in a landslide and also a popular vote majority too.
I want to see the Left lose its mind in ways never seen before. Let them show themselves for the miserable SOBs they are. And put their law-breaking asses in jail.

I recently used Zillow to look at homes and land in northern MN! I was shocked at the increase in the price of homes over the past year! Towns of 800 people have moderate homes for sale at 330,000 dollars!! A year ago one could easily find a nice place for 225,000 dollars! What housing crisis? Wow! Going to fix up our moderate split flyer in the Lake Minnetonka area! Not on the lake, but close! At 66 years of age We are NOT GOING 200,000 in dept to own a home in this economy!

That's an amazing transformation. For 75 years northern MN was solidly Democrat. Just enough of them still voted for Hillzabub last time to keep the state (barely) in the Democrat column. Hopefully that era ends this November.

President Trump should handle Antifa and BLM terrorists now just like he did ISIS. Go to one shiffhole blue city at a time and wipe them out like the rats that they are. Lethal force is long overdue. After the first city is sterilized, the rest will quietly slink back to their basements.

Well that will be a shock if we have democrat politicians who can still reason their way out of a paper bag!
It may be an attempt to save their bacon in their next election, but we'll take it anyway.

Had an uncle that retired from the mines in Babbitt and moved to AZ. All 6 of his sons left also. Lifelong dems. The boys just became members of teachers unions. Like democrats in the South, they've been dems all their lives and just won't change.

"we don't recognize the Democratic Party. It has been moved so far to the left it can no longer claim to be advocates of the working class."
When DEM mayors are publicly saying this, you KNOW it reflects the feelings of the citizens. It makes the poll, 47%/47%, stated in the article an absurdity. In 2016, Hillary won the state by 1.5% of the vote. Since then, Trump has, as acknowledged by these mayors, revitalized Minnesota. Voters would be stabbing a dagger into their own hearts by voting for Biden. Further, their loyalty to a party about to jump off the cliffs of Socialism is doubtful, as the mayors state. The chaos in their own state is also going to drive voters into Trump's column.
This doesn't even consider a high energized and organized Trump/Republican effort to reach out to voters in swing states. I doubt that Minnesota is a swing state anymore. It is likely settled nicely onto Trump's side.

These first Dominos will cause a cascading effect of other Democrats to follow. Joe said he's going to make an appearance there in 10 days. Sorry Joe, too little, too late. Stay in your basement.

Trade policies which put American workers first are a good thing. I am not a fan of the unions, but going the other way, destroying the jobs that the middle class depends upon is just evil.
The globalists are evil men, and the come on both sides of the aisle. Trump putting America First is the RIGHT thing to do.

The Dems are calling the riot squad because they see their importance and tax base declining. They'll be back to their own ways soon enough - they're Democrats.

Minnesota Dems keep roadblocking the northern PolyMet copper-nickel mine and Pipeline 3 (a state of the art replacement to an aging oil pipeline across the state). As Dem leaders kowtow to urban eco-fanatics, the job-hungry Northerners are finally taking notice. All while the current Dem governor describes outstate Minnesota as merely “rocks and cows.” Don’t be surprised on Nov 3 to see the shores of Gitchee Gumee glowing red on the electoral map—while Anderson Cooper wets his Depends.
