It is stunning how many recent riots over purported racial injustice have been based on phony stories. (snip) what should the officers have done, confronted with Blake, armed with a deadly weapon and attempting to drive away the vehicle with 3 young children in it? The fact that he was able shrug off 2 tasers suggests he may have been on some mind-altering substance like methamphetamine, PCP, or angel dust. The children reasonably could be believed to be at risk in a vehicle fleeing arrest.

Why wait and let the facts get in the way?

Why were the children in the car? Who put them there? Was Blake abducting them?

I don't think the media's narrative on any high-profile case has proven to be correct. Trayvon, Freddie Gray, Ferguson, Orlando Nightclub massacre, on and on....

....oops...sorry....well I guess the "peaceful demonstrators" will just have to rebuild all those businesses in Kenosha that they looted and burned......and un-kill the dead people........

This is the first time I learned that there were three children in the car. Journalists should become aware of how much damage can be done with their sloppy journalism.

This is the third Big Lie put out by the PR staff that evil Ben Crump keeps on retainer. First Trayvon Martin, then George Floyd and now Jacob Blake. In each case, "The Narrative" created by Crump's staff and eagerly printed as fact by the media is a total lie, creating "facts" from thin air, and hiding the truth as deeply as they can bury it.
If Ben Crump is involved, you can be certain that the story being told is a lie.

Could tell a few days ago this was slowly coming out. Somebody posted a story that Blake had an arrest warrant for sexual assault, and that was why the police stopped him. Funny thing though. The story disappeared after ten minutes.
Too bad he got shot, but that's what happens when you are an armed drugged fugitive fighting with the police and the taser doesn't work. Perhaps they need to come up with a taser that can stop an elephant.

Anyone who can withstand two Tasers without effect has to be on a strong drug. Anyone facing a police officer who is holding a gun, without complying with directives, must be on strong drugs. Anyone who requires seven bullets to be subdued, is on strong drugs.
Blake would have killed the police officer if he wasn't stopped. He was beyond saving.

I'm so, so disappointed - - that Rudy Giuliani repeated the lie that Minneapolis police "killed" George Floyd.
That's the kind of nonsense we expect from lying leftists - - but Rudy? Et tu, Rudy?
Very disappointing.

I used to watch "Live PD" on Friday and Saturday nights. After a few episodes, I developed a profound sympathy for police who have to deal with "frequent fliers," liars, runners, and the just plain crazy in our society. It almost always took multiple police to subdue the nut jobs, and whenever they found drugs, the excuses flew - "Not mine - someone left them in my car," "this isn't my car," or "these aren't my pants." People obviously intoxicated or stoned would only admit to "one beer," or nothing at all, even though they were staggering drunk. Instead of knocking some sense into these idiots, they have to be respectful and deferential even though they know the people are lying through their teeth.

#12, and they have taken all those shows off the air. Probably because they educate people like you and me to what officers have to put up with.

You are a police officer. You have an arrest warrant for a suspect accused of child sexual assault. In your attempt to arrest him, he breaks free of your grasp, shrugs off two taser hits, runs to the other side of a car with three children inside. He is carrying a knife. Now he leans into the car as if to retrieve something or someone. Is he looking for a gun? A child hostage? Do you wait to find out if he harms or kills a child, possibly a young victim who reported the molestation? You have moments to act. He has already ignored two taser hits. Do you try to shoot him in the leg, which is what Joe Biden wants police to be trained to do? Or do you stop him with lethal force before he harms someone inside that car?

paid rioters don't need a "reason" to riot, they only need an opportunity. george soros is wetting his pants thinking about the opportunities he has to ruin our country. something has to be done about this germ.

#14, they need their billy clubs back. Tasers don't work too much of the time. A couple of good shots to key pain centers with a billy club usually get some quick compliance. And if not voluntarily, some of the points cops are trained to hit cause immediate but temporary paralysis of a limb, useful in a serious fight.
No billy clubs.....so they have to go to guns. Leftists taking away the clubs "for humanitarian reasons" make it more likely that a perp will have to be shot, when decades ago, he may have some memorable bruises, but not be dead.
Choices, always choices. Choose to remove billy clubs....get gunshots. Is that an improvement?

Police are trained to recognize individuals on PCP (same drug as 'angel dust', btw).
After the tasers failed to subdue this guy, I'm sure they knew that's what they were dealing with here. They knew their lives and the lives of those kids were in danger. They did what they knew they had to do in order to stop a crazed, violent guy who possessed (temporarily) superhuman strength. This will all come out eventually and the officer will be absolved of any malfeasance.
Which, of course, will result in more riots.
For historical context, recall that the estimable Rodney King was high on PCP during his encounter with the LAPD back in the early 90's. And what it took to subdue him. And what happened when the police were found 'not guilty'. Look for history to repeat itself.

Once again the media and practically every athlete in basketball, baseball, and hockey are falling in line and calling the country racist before knowing any facts. Sickening. That Crump is worse than Al Sharpton and that’s saying a lot. He even has Blake’s girlfriend now being his fiancé so they’ll both get huge paydays.
