And on Day 4, there was no more Mr. Nice Guy!
Republicans spent the better part of three nights in their convention presenting softer and gentler sides of President Trump, but the president gets the final words and he came out Thursday in a fighting mood.
His acceptance speech detailed his successes and offered promises aplenty for a second term, but the emphasis and energy were committed to a scorched-earth attack on Joe Biden and the Democrats. Trump threw so many punches at his opponent that, had it been a real heavyweight boxing match, the referee would have stopped it in the middle rounds out of mercy.

Don’t miss the third to last paragraph about feeling your opponent's pain. (I’d copy and paste but for some reason the article won’t let me do it). On the left, it applies not only to the rioters but to Islamic terrorists - hence the demonrat outrage when PDT had Iran’s top terrorist taken out with a drone attack. Notice how quiet what’s left of ISIS has been lately?
Also, Goodwin mentions “disaffected Trump voters”. I’d like him to provide one and bet that he can’t - he’s talking about a mythical animal.

Goodwin is a little timid for my taste. Maybe I am overconfident but I can’t see any reasonable person wanting Biden to run the country. It seems to me the big threat this election is the democrats willingness to cheat and steal the election. This President's record, if considered with an open mind, is very impressive. I can’t ever remember one as robust. He is getting the job done despite the constant baseless attacks by the opposition and the lying media. Has anyone ever had to experience this kind of vicious barrage? I don’t believe so. Donald Trump is the best man for the job and I hope also that the election is secure and fair. He deserves another term like no one in recent history.

"Instead, he detailed numerous examples of where he believed he was fighting the entire establishment to get things done for the American people"
Hey, Lightning, he is.

#1, is this the paragraph you referred to?
"In effect, the Trump team is asking: Who would you rather have on your side in a street fight — a tough puncher like Trump, or a guy like a Biden who feels the opponent’s pain?"
I just highlighted it, right clicked and copied it.

Why is revealing the truth about evil and diabolical people called "scorched earth"?

Yes, #4. That’s it. I’m on an iPad and for some reason I couldn’t get it to copy. You can’t right click on an iPad. Thanks for posting it.

Scorched earth is right. Wow. The President went for Bite Me's and the dim party's jugular last night. The realization he placed in front of us is we have a choice between America or Amerika. The President prefers the former and so do I.
Considering America's challenges (Covid, re-patriating manufacturing back to America, China's push for world domination), the President remains the right person for the job.

President Trump hit on all cylinders last night. He left no stone unturned. The whole event was perfectly orchestrated from beginning to end. Plus, Ivanka did a great job introducing her father. Of course the odious Left will say something ugly about her. Alice Johnson was a nice finale to all the speakers. She put a nice cap on it. What a lovely woman she is.
Then came the music and fireworks...It was the probably the best Republican convention I've ever seen and a inspiring statement about The Best is yet to come. Thank you President Trump.

Trump hit a staggering blow last night to Biden. The knock out will come on November 3. You could tell how well the speech went because when the camera went to the "all star panel" on Fox, both Dana and Chris looked like they wanted to throw up. In fact, Chris whined about Trump's speech being "flat." That was Presidential, Chris. Didn't watch the rest because I turn off any segments that feature that lying, cheat Donna Brazile.
Great speech and as always Trump's predictions about Democrat and Biden's destruction of America was verified by rioters on the streets just outside the White House gates. Knowing they were there, (you could here these degenerates trying to drown out Ivanka and Trump) I took even more delight in the spectacular culminating fireworks show, knowing these vagrants were being treated to a loud and spectacular dose of Trump's strong and patriotic AMERICA. You know what minimal brains these vagrants have were coming out of their noses. Last night THEY were the captive audience. It's time to crush these traitors.

Goodwin worries that some may be turned off by President Trump's direct, honest speaking. People like him forget that President Trump is a business man. He is a builder. He fixes problems. People like that don't mince words or suffer fools.
President Trump is not a politician, who soothes people's concerns with smooth lies and platitudes. He tells it like it is, and what he is going to do about it!
I like having an honest president. What I hear from democrats are lies and empty promises.

The only "disaffected Trump voters" are those who think PDJT is not crushing the Deep State & Dems fast enough. Of course, they will still vote for him.

Ashamed to say I fell asleep last night and so I read it on line this morning. Might even reread it. It was so comprehensive and covers anyone's concerns we have about our country. I will try to get people I know who say they "hate" the President to read it, or at least some of it. President Reagan said something about "accentuating the positive", and that's what the President did in his speech and his convention. Well done.

I thought it was pitch-perfect. The testimonials from individuals were very, very moving. The president was optimistic but tough as all hades. Then came the fireworks. The only downer was the Fox 'panel'. Even Brit Hume was lame. (Brit: Nessun Dorma is from Turandot, not La Boheme.) I couldn't believe how naive they were in saying that the president was 'flat'. Do they think that his ad-lib, salty Rally persona would be appropriate when he's trying to accomplish multiple things? (Like, duh, attract independent voters.) The speech was long but it's never long enough for me. The question is, was it never not substantive? When DJT sets out to list all that he's done and all that Joe Biden's failed at . . . we're in for a long, long speech, because the president has done beaucoup and Biden has been the lead driver in the clown car for nearly 50 years. And the ridiculous comment from Chris--registered democrat--Wallace about the general absence of masks . . . those dudes have been tested, Chrissie. Wake up. Sorry I can't comment on Juan the witless and Donna the liar/cheater. The moment Bret used the word "Juan" I hit the off button. Simple question: when is Bret going to realize that Juan and Donna don't add anything of substance to a conversation? This is not 'fair and balanced'; this is dumb and dumber. This is not 'diversity'; this is democrat talking points, spit out on cue. For the love of God, Bret, what do black Americans think when you consider Juan and Donna appropriate 'voices'? Get some thoughtful people up there, not nincompoops and imbeciles. In general: Doug Schoen would probably have been more positive and honest than the Fox panel.

Hats off to #14! I think it is the post of the day! So right! So True! and so what every Republican who watches FOX is saying. We are sick and tired of Donna and Juan. Do you see True Conservatives on CNN or MSNBC? No! (I said TRUE Republicans). Yes, they have never Trumpers on all the time, but they are there to slam Trump every chance they get. I think FOX needs to go back to the days when they KNEW who their audience was/is. We are Conservative Republicans. That's a fact! FOX can be "Fair and Balanced" without having the Likes of Juan, Donna and Chris Wallace in our face 24/7. And how about getting rid of Harf and Jessica (who's voice is like nails on the Blackboard)! Let us see our President win. Let us enjoy the people who truly back him when we watch FOX and don't force us to find other Conservative Channels to be our new Home! It will happen if they continue down the Road of Radical Democrats as Regulars on their shows. We are the people who made FOX what it is today, and as many mothers have said to their wayward children, we MADE you and we can just as easily take you down! Remember that!
