U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said he was attacked by a "crazed mob" of more than 100 people after leaving the White House following President Trump's acceptance speech at the Republican Convention. "Just got attacked by an angry mob of over 100, one block away from the White House, he wrote on Twitter early Friday. "Thank you to @DCPoliceDept for literally saving our lives from a crazed mob."

When I was watching the coverage last night the thought crossed my mind that it was late and all those people had to make their way to their cars. In this climate, who knows what the mob would plan and attempt to execute. It is very disturbing that we have to worry about a bunch of out of control vicious anarchists lurking in the shadows to lay way people unfortunate enough to be in their proximity. This is not the country I want for myself and my children and grandchildren. The democrats have made a grave calculation. More than anything, people want safety for their families. Now it is clear the democrats are not willing to offer that. Violence is enabled and supported as a political strategy and that is off putting to most Americans. God keep us safe through this terrible nightmare that has been brought on us because the democrat party is so evil they will use acts of violence, arson, and rage filled streets as a vehicle for political power.

The DC police did a fine job, didn't escalate just took care of things. But why doesn't Rand have Secret Service protection? Something tells me they would have been better suited to this sort of thing and their response might have discouraged a repeat occurrence. No disrespect to the DC police but when you mess with a senator you need to know that some serious bad azzes are going to intervene.

I just wish it had been Schumer or Pelosi. The media would demand these riots stop immediately!

This kind of thing is dreadful and a sign that we are really losing our Republic. This out of control violence can in no way be condoned! We have the right to peaceful assembly - not to mob violence. The mob was also zeroing in on some private cars - which may have had other Congressmen & Senators as passengers. Rand has been targeted with violence 3 times now - I hope the Secret Service can step in. I want to see some arrests.

Sidebar: I thought I heard a loud horn several times during PDJT’s speech. Protestors nearby?
As others have noted, law and order may be the turning point issue in this campaign.
If not, I’m looking at other options

Do Americans want to live in a Marxist banana republic with eternal agitation and rioting? That's what the Democrat Socialists have on offer.

I hope that the DoJ is looking at the funding mechanism and who is funding these thugs, who is organizing them and getting them all cranked up.

Media headline. " Rand Paul CLAIMS he was attacked by protesters." Watch the video, and try to tell me that if the cops weren't there, what would these idiots have done to Rand Paul and his wife.

Al Sharpton is organizing a march onto D.C. as we speak. There better be some laws or tanks put in place or that town will be burned to the ground and all hell will be let loose.

If you save a child from a rabid dog by giving the child shelter, you still have to kill the rabid dog to stop it from infecting and perhaps killing others. If you have a pack of rabid dogs, you have more work to do until you've eliminated the threat.

No Senator gets it like physician Rand Paul. He was nearly beat to death by a crazy
Democrat neighbor. I was so mad our party never got out there with public united support for their colleague. It was pretty much crickets. It looks to me that whoever is paying these mobs has a particular hatred of Senator Paul.

Not one news report that I have read mentions that on June 11, 2020 Rand Paul introduces the "Justice for Breonna Talor Act" designed to end "no knock" warrants.
That is how "honest" and "truthful" the MSM is and how stupid the moron "protesters" really are.

Would these moron rioters stop if they could understand that - based on their horrific behavior that they are actually working for the President?
I live in a safe area of my state (for now) but that could easily change. If I had been at all hesitant about voting for Donald Trump before the violence, BLM and Antifa would have been successful in making me change my mind.

I think this is the final thing that seals the election for Trump. The mob is, undenianbly out of control and NOT peaceful.
