Penzeys Spices wants to 'loot' its Kenosha
store in support of protests

Original Article

While the Penzeys Spices store in Kenosha was not damaged during violent protests in the city, its CEO wants to "loot" his own store. Bill Penzey wrote to customers of his Wauwatosa-based chain of spice shops that he supports the mission behind the protests in Kenosha in response to a police officer shooting Jacob Blake in the back seven times at close range. "Someone wrote to say that you would be singing a different tune if it was your store being looted," Penzey wrote in the email. "I'm by no means perfect but seriously no, I wouldn't. Human life means everything; stuff, not so much."

Comments:

PR stunt...if Penzy was sincere he would bust all the windows and burn the store out. This is just more liberal virtue signaling. Hey, Bill, it's insured...right?

What a jackass. How does looting stuff prevent the loss of a Black man's or any life for that matter? If looting his store could have prevented Jacob Blake from being shot, this would make some sense. As it stands, this is just a stupid post by an ultra liberal loon.

I stopped buying from Penzey's several years ago, when each catalog came with a sermon from Bill Penzey about the latest SJW topic du jour. The last straw was during one of the past Obama era BLM forays and he essentially told his customers that we need to stop being racist. I wanted spices, not a SJW lecture from someone who knows zip about me. I've taken my business to The Spice House, which was the original spice company that the Penzey family started. Their outreach consists of sponsoring drives to send spices to our deployed troops. Much better.

FTA: "What if we took a snapshot of our Kenosha store’s inventory tonight and simply gave away exactly that amount of inventory in the coming weeks?," he wrote. Right, because a few jars of spices is just what the owner of the used car lot that went up in flames or the owner of the furniture store that went up in flames needs to help restore their lives.

For the third time in less than 30 hours, four justices on the state Supreme Court dealt President Donald Trump a setback Friday, saying they wouldn't accept a lawsuit by Trump allies who wanted to let Republican lawmakers instead of voters decide how to cast the state's electoral votes. As with two decisions Thursday, Friday's ruling was 4-3, with conservative Justice Brian Hagedorn joining the court's liberals to rebuff the president as he seeks to take away Democrat Joe Biden's narrow win of the state. "The relief being sought by the petitioners is the most dramatic invocation of judicial power I have ever seen," Hagedorn wrote.

The U.S. government is awash in debt and red ink — and neither President Donald Trump or his Democratic challenger appear bothered by the status quo, an analyst told Yahoo Finance on Wednesday. Last week, the Treasury released data showing how the COVID-19 pandemic helped push the U.S. federal budget deficit above $3 trillion for the first 11 months of fiscal 2020, a rate more than double the prior full-year record. In previous years, the federal deficit — and the mountain of IOUs to investors it signified — would figure prominently in a presidential campaign.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
