Jacob Blake had a weapon on the driver’s side of his vehicle when a police officer, who has now been identified as Rusten Sheskey, shot him seven times in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Sunday evening. Blake was leaning into that side of the vehicle when the officer discharged his weapon.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice, police recovered a knife from the floorboard, but the agency did not say whether Blake, a 29-year-old black man, was holding the weapon when Sheskey shot him in the back,(Snip)Video stills of the incident appear to show Blake holding a small object resembling a knife prior to the shooting, but the department has not confirmed

FTA:
According to court records, an arrest warrant was issued against Blake on July 7 for felony third-degree sexual assault, as well as misdemeanor charges of criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct, all related to domestic abuse.
The police in Kenosha were responding to a call from the woman who said she was his girlfriend - that he was there and he wasn’t supposed to be there. No mention yet of whether there was a restraining order, but his history re domestic abuse (which includes girlfriends) is not great.

Man most people thought he was reaching for his Bible. At any rate, he is with Jesus right now trying to figure out what to do about his sins.

Does this mean rioters have to apologize to the property owners for the fire and destruction they did by mistake?
This is always the case in every shooting of a black man immediately loot and burn the city to find out the person was armed and dangerous when it's too late. Who with me is tired of this behavior of a group of people who refuse to fit in with society.

It won't matter to BLM. They'll say police were never at risk, the arrest warrant was for minor issues, and there's no obligation to listen to law enforcement. The dozens of looted and burned-out businesses are apparently legitimate 1st Amendment expressions according to the Left.

They couldn't pay me enough if part of my job requirement is wrestling with violent people who are armed with a knife.

FTA: "After the shooting, the officers immediately administered medical aid to Blake until Flight for Life transported him to a Milwaukee hospital, where he is now located, according to the DOJ release." The suspect is still hospitalized, and allegedly paralyzed from the waist down. In the photo published with the article, the suspect can be easily seen holding what appears to be a knife with a curved blade, seen as he is leaving the girlfriend's premise, with police training their gun on him, when Taser didn't stop him.

I don't think Mr. Blake has yet arrived for his post-mortem meeting with St. Peter and Jesus.

Won't take long for the lying media to turn this thug into 'St. Jacob.' ''He was just beginning to turn his life around and apply at the new U.S. Space Force.''

It won't matter. BLM and all the other haters, race-baiters, and talking heads will just say they don't believe the police report, they are making it up to cover for each other, etc., etc.
It's the same story every time - loot and burn first, get the facts later. Rinse/repeat.

OK, had a knife, and they could not tell if he was reaching for a gun when shot. That's pretty easy to acquit on, IMO. They knew that they had a felon, with warrants, and it was a domestic disturbance.
All officers know that a domestic disturbance is highly likely to become violent, they are especially keyed up that one of the parties is very likely to go on a rampage with weapons, with both knives and guns often used.
My LEO friends said they always wanted to get the two warring parties out of the house, and separated by at least 50 ft. Out of the house gets them away from the easy availability of a drawer full of butcher knives. And separated means that each tells his own story, not keying off the other's version, or exploding at some point when listening.
Domestic disturbances are a 4 alarm fire for cops. People are CRAZY in these cases, hugely emotional, unpredictable. Often a beat up wife explodes when officers start to cuff her husband/boy friend and more than a few have pulled a butcher knife on the cop to keep the guy who just beat her up from being arrested. Go figure. Craziness.

The police should have waited until he started stabbing them - - and then politely ask him to stop.

Is there some significance that the taser had no effect on this guy?

After resisting the officers and not reacting to a taser, he ran to the driver side where photos showed him making a dive through the opened door to the direction where the knife was found. Until they got into the car, they didn’t know what other weapon he might have had there. He admitted he had a knife, photo shows him with something like a carpet cutter in his hand, and he grappled with police when they were trying to subdue him.
