Joe Biden (D) experienced another brain freeze moment during the climax of his Democratic National Convention (DNC) address Thursday evening, telling the audience that there has “never been anything we’ve been able to accomplish when we’ve done it together.”While accepting the party’s nomination as its presidential candidate, Biden said the United States is facing four crises, which he is best equipped to fix after decades served in the Senate and White House. Those challenges are, in his words: “the worst pandemic in over 100 years. The worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. The most compelling call for racial justice since the ’60s, and the undeniable realities and

We're a good and decent people? You all have spent this past week in particular and the past many years (honestly, must say almost from the beginning) ridiculing, belittling , disrespecting at least half of the population of this great Republic of ours (if we can keep it). You've been telling us that we are riddled with racism, in our "core", systemically sick with it. You've accused The People of great moral failings which you --and you only-- and your leftist Party have the requisite moral superiority for dealing with the stupid, backward, unsophisticated people (who just so happened to be the ones who built the country). It would be nice if you all meant it, this unity thingy, because you've done nothing but continually harassing and nagging our current President. We've gotten you message, regardless of how you have fumbled it up as it tried to glide off you tongue. This goes for your entire Party: you are all so glib, so smooth, so utterly deceitful . Liars. That's what you are.

Creepy Uncle Joe Biden can't make it through an entire speech that he is reading and has had days to practice. Which is exactly why I am 100% convinced that the Demon-Rats are going to use every excuse they can find to keep him from ever debating President Trump!!!! I'm sure they will use the Coronavirus as their primary excuse, but they will find other excuses too. And somehow the MSM will do their duty to their Demon-Rat overlords and blame it all on President Trump.

Never cared for Biden, always thought he was a big talking phony. But to put him out there when he is failing mentally is a huge disservice to him. He's been a senator and a vice president, he could have retired with some distinction, but no, they put him out there making him look bad. Craven.

To anyone who feels sorry for Joe one word of advice: don’t. He eviscerated Robt. Bork and did his best to do the same to Justice Thomas, both good solid men of learned and ethical esteem. Because he couldn’t fake being intelligent or wise he donned the “Aw, shucks ma’am” variety of charlatanism but was willing to thoroughly destroy anyone who was not stamped with the approval of the DNC. His family has been on the take for decades, he helped sell the U.S. to China and other enemies for personal gain and daily, for decades, he used the Amtrak Acela as his personal transportation at taxpayer’s expense for millions of dollars and then basked in the nickname “Lunch Bucket Joe.” But worst of all, he was an enthusiastic VP under the worst, most divisive and destructive President of the last century if not in history. Biden is also a man so stupid that it’s hard to tell if he’s losing his mind or if he’s just Joe being Joe. Only the flat affect gives him away. We are watching, in living color and real time, karma. The slop that was launched is coming back around again to hit the criminal and fraud Biden smack in the head and we can all say, “Sweet.”

I heard that verbal screw up last night. Did you see the hug his wife gave him after the speech ? She and his handlers were thrilled that he did not descend in complete incoherent babbling and start to wander around the stage. He must have been pumped up with drugs. And the mask thing, on " day one " he's going to decree that everyone must wear a mask all the time. No small thing with that.

Managed to get through the week without watching a single minute of the DNC. I did see an article below, where the NY Posts Michael Goodwin said he gave an OK speech without any flubs. Don't know what to believe, but really, if he did make it through the speech without a flub, it's the high point of his campaign up to now. If he flubbed it, that's the new normal, as they keep telling us.

Look Joe Biden has been a DC liberal Democrat and “Uni-Party” lawyer-politician for over 47 years, including 8 years as the Vice-President to the first Black President, Barack Obama. During all that time what were his big accomplishments? Now Biden, who by his silence has supported the very radical Black Lives Matter movement, that with the Antifa criminal anarchist movement, that have been behind the the rioting, the arson, the looting, and the criminal violence in the liberal Democrat inner cities that Biden utterly failed to condemn before or during the Democrat Convention. Instead Biden has gone along with the bogus Democrat claims that only “peaceful protests” have been taking place, in those Democrat cities, obviously the complete opposite of what everyone else's lying eyes have been telling them. Biden also goes along with the bogus claims that the USA is engulfed in institutional racism that brought the “peaceful protestors” into the streets. If such institutional racism is really such a lasting catastrophic problem for the country, you have to ask has Biden been blind to all that during his well over 47 years in DC as a leading liberal Democrat politician? Doing absolutely nothing to address such a major national problem. So is it fool’s gold to believe that Biden, if elected, will fix that supposed racist situation through massive government intervention? Instead Biden during his time in the US Senate has a history of being buddy buddy with the old Southern segregationist Senators and was a prime Democrat perpetrator when he was running the Senate Judiciary Committee supporting the last attempted lynching of a prominent Black man in America, through a serious presentation of untruths, as Biden and other Democrats attempted to keep Clarance Thomas off the Supreme Court. Remember the old adage “practice makes perfect” so you can bet that Biden’s Democrat handlers had Biden practice reading his speech off electronic devices many times, to try to eliminate Biden’s well known gaffs, and in addition to Biden reading a TelePrompTer in this modern electronic world, Biden’s handlers could well have been orally reciting the speech through an audio feed hearing aid type receiver into one of Biden’s ears for Biden to repeat orally as Biden looked straight ahead as he gave his speech. Finally note that Biden never said a word about his future political policies and programs that he will support if he is elected.

Something is soooooo wrong. To those who have faced the heartbreak of dementia close up, there is NO way the Joe we saw last night was in the grips of mental illness. Gone was the vacant look. Gone were the vague, tentative words. Gone was the disorientation and confusion. Poof! Gone. Just like that. It's impossible to have dementia ON DEMAND. It's a progressive condition; it CAN'T be stopped with medication or with behavioral changes. Symptoms may come and go, but they can't be predicted and can't be kept in check at any given time. If Joe truly had dementia, he could NOT have been relied on to read his lines on command as he did last night. NO amount of coaching or voices in his ear could have helped---he could have spontaneously pulled any wires out of his ear. Even in the beginning stages of dementia, he could NOT have been counted on to do what he was supposed to do. The Joe we saw last night did not show ANY signs of dementia. Some random, uncontrollable behavior should've given him away, but it didn't. This is very weird indeed.

OK, I watched the speech just now. Biden can read from the teleprompter just fine. Where he gets into trouble is where he has to speak without it. As for the speech, I thought it was underwhelming. It was just generic talking points with some stuff about America not being red or blue (copied from an Obama speech) and being united. Who believes that? Does anyone think the Democrats want to be united with the Republicans after seeing Nancy Pelosi tear up Trump's speech at the SOTU? Biden's delivery was OK, but not very dynamic. I really can't imagine him as President.

The only part of the convention I watched was the Biden speech. I wanted to see if he could capably read a teleprompter. From the speech, the Dim theme is Lightness vs. Darkness, with Dims being the Lightness. Then why did we see so many "Day of the Dead" characters showed up to pump up Hiden Biden? As I watched the speech, all I saw was darkness emanating from a husk of a man. Biden kept slouching and then suddenly standing ramrod straight. It was just weird, like someone had been coaching him not to look like a stooped, frail old man. Because his words were so boring and boilerplate, I spent my time watching the odd movements his mouth and face made while he was speaking. It was like his dentures were interfering with his face lift. My effort in watching was rewarded when he flubbed the closing line of his speech, saying "There’s never been anything we’ve been able to accomplish when we’ve done it together." I noted that Jill came fast walking to the podium as soon as he finished speaking. That's good she did, because he had that look of what do I do next and wear do I go now. Thank you, Joe.

Joe has used all of his limited supply of grey matter and is using donkey poo to frame his thoughts (such as they are). If a normally intelligent observer of Joe's trip through the maze of contradictions that form the platform of the liberal wish list squad cannot see the tragedy and failure inherent in the intentions, then that observer should be pulling weeds in a commune somewhere where he/she cannot hurt him/her self.

Biden swallowed the 'un' in 'unable' by going too fast at the end and not emphasizing. What he is consistent in is the stiffness, the uneasiness in public speaking, and the pronunciation problems, which is relatively new. His overall behavior has changed in a few short years. For #33 and others, Biden had two major brain surgeries to repair aneurysms in the 1980s. The techniques at the time were very invasive and long term prognosis is cognitive impairment. For many years, Biden was lucky that any damage was not apparent, but with aging it gets more difficult. Another factor: atrial fibrillation and takes blood thinners, also factors in long term cognitive impairment based on multiple medical journal studies. Not me, but Marc Siegel MD. Not all cognitive problems are Alzheimers or dementia.

The vote was 257-150 with 26 Republicans joining the Democrats. Joe Biden is being accused of plagiarizing the words of a left-wing Canadian politician in his convention speech. In his highly anticipated convention speech on Thursday, the Democratic nominee said, “Love is more powerful than hate. Hope is more powerful than fear. And light is more powerful than dark.” Canadians were quick to point out that those words were extremely similar to the dying message of Jack Layton, the leader of Canada’s New Democratic Party, who in 2011 wrote, “My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair." CBC correspondent Alexander Panetta pointed out the similarities on Twitter.

Joe Biden says he will close the country down to stop the spread of the coronavirus if scientists recommend he do so.The democratic presidential nominee made the startling promise — and affirmed his resistance to defunding police — in joint interviews with his running mate Kamala Harris set to air on ABC News this Sunday night. “I would shut it down; I would listen to the scientists,” Biden told ABC’s David Muir, in an interview taped Friday. Biden reasoned that the key to reopening a country’s economy is first gaining control over the virus and its spread. He knocked President Trump for failing to realize that

President Donald Trump criticized Democrats on Twitter Saturday for removing the words “Under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance during the Democratic National Convention (DNC). “At first I thought they made a mistake, but it wasn’t. It was done on purpose,” Trump wrote. The president was referring to stories that the moderator leading the Muslim Delegates Assembly meeting during day two of the DNC skipped “under God” as he began a virtual conference by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Democrats included the phrase “under God” each day during the primetime evening events for the convention. Trump warned Christians

A group honoring the life and legacy of American civil rights icon Susan B. Anthony has refused to accept President Trump's posthumous pardon of her, arguing the effort would give unearned legitimacy to the 1873 court proceedings that found her guilty of breaking a law that prohibited women from voting. Trump this week announced he was pardoning Anthony for the conviction, a measure the president took on the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, which recognized the right of women to vote.

Heeding the advice of critics, Portland police say they repeatedly tried to deescalate with protesters Friday night. It didn’t work. As many as 200 demonstrators rampaged near a police station in the Oregon city, pelting a protective line of unoccupied police vehicles with golf balls, softball-sized rocks, metal railroad spikes, paint-filled plastic eggs and balloons filled with feces. A torn-up street sign was also used to smash cars, with tires slashed and windows broken, police said. Officers said they didn’t intervene at that point because it was only property, and they figured allowing the rampaging to run its course might

The Illinois Democrat and military veteran lost her legs during a helicopter crash while serving in Iraq. Duckworth says, “Joe knows the fear military families live because he’s felt that." Biden's late son Beau served as a major in the Army National Guard.

The modern left-wing tactic of protesting at the private homes of their targets in an effort to intimidate them into doing what they want won’t work with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot. The police say they’ve banned protests from the mayor’s block and will arrest anyone who doesn’t leave. Lightfoot just isn’t radical enough for Black Lives Matter. She won’t defund the police (she didn’t just escape from a mental institution, after all) and refuses to condemn the officers for trying to keep order. I wonder if the fact that Lightfoot enjoys police protection 24-7 has anything to do with her reluctance to criticize the cops too harshly.

Joe Biden delivered a solid, if overhyped, speech last night accepting his party’s nomination for the highest office in the land. It effectively put a cap on the Democratic National Convention (DNC) and summed up the Democrats’ case thus: Joe Biden is a good and kind man; Donald Trump is not. Biden’s decency has been hugely exaggerated, as my colleague Ramesh Ponnuru has explained at Bloomberg Opinion, but he does seem a Boy Scout compared with his opponent. (Snip) Trump and his team have played right into Biden’s hands too.

The water filter inside a household refrigerator is a simple device: a plastic tube packed with activated carbon. Nonetheless, replacement filters for certain GE refrigerators cost a stiff $55. And they need to be replaced every six months. So it’s no surprise that many GE fridge owners seek cheaper generic filters. These fit just fine. But when the owner presses the button to dispense water or ice, nothing comes out. The culprit is a bit of engineering almost as in-genious as it is infuriating. It seems that official GE replacement filters include a small RFID chip whose only purpose is to tell the refrigerator
