Portland police declared yet another riot Tuesday night on the 83rd consecutive day of protests after a 200-strong mob of protesters torched the city's famous Multnomah Building. The group had marched to the county seat of government for the first time, smashing windows and sparking a blaze by pushing lit newspapers through the windows. One image shows the protesters had marked a window to the building with the graffiti: 'Aim here.' Demonstrations that often turn violent have racked Oregon's biggest city for more than two months following the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

So why not abolish the Portland Police Department, open the local jails, shutdown the local judiciary, and change the city name to Blacklivesmatter City? Why not? Nothing will change until you surrender. Surrender, Portland, so your residents can live in peace.
SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I find it extremely strange that the citizens of the city haven't chased out any of their elected officials?

This is a picture of Biden and round heels America. I find I’m not getting hardened to this, but I’m getting madder and madder instead. As a very senior citizen, I worry for my husband and myself, as these cowards seem to pick on those they deem weaker. Ever notice how it’s 20 against one? What I dream
about doing to these vicious animals is not something I’m proud of, but God I hope they all get what they deserve. And that goes for the complicit mayor of Portland too.

FTA "The police used heavy handed tactics..." What are they supposed to do to stop the violence? Then Deborah Kafoury says, "I am committed to transformational change." Do these people see the problem here? Soft-headed liberalism gets you this. It can't be ended until the people running Multnomah County and Portland are removed from office one way or the other and replaced by adults.

FYI FWIW, Multnomah County's County Chair and all four County Commissioners are women, "not that there's anything wrong with that".
"Multnomah County Chair Deborah Kafoury has long propelled innovative solutions to the region’s most pressing issues of homelessness, economic disparities and gaps in the behavioral health system."
Sharon Meieran engages "with community members to learn about and address issues that are important to them. I research and make policy to support the county's vision for a healthy, safe and sustainable community."
Susheela Jayapal "was a litigator at law firms in San Francisco and Portland, with a general practice that included representing the government in taking on corrupt and negligent bank officers during the fiscal crisis of the 1980s, and providing free legal services to people seeking political asylum in the United States. Among other things, she has served on the boards of Planned Parenthood of the Columbia-Willamette, Portland Schools Foundation, All Hands Raised, Literary Arts, Metropolitan Family Service, and the Regional Arts & Culture Council."
Jessica Vega Pederson was "frustrated by the pressing challenges in her east Portland neighborhood, Jessica ran for the Oregon Legislature because she wanted to do more than talk about making things better. She is proud to fight for an inclusive, prosperous, and vibrant Multnomah County. At Multnomah County, Commissioner Vega Pederson has championed the County’s efforts to combat climate change, represents the County at various regional transportation tables, and has focused on expanding access to early childhood education and chair's the County's Preschool for All task force".
Lori Stegmann grew up in East County and has such fond memories. She "wants this community—and especially the kids—to have that same feeling of family and home.”

The fire damaged the lobby where Oregon's first gay marriage happened in 2004, Multnomah County Chair Deborah Kafoury said.
She asked residents to support the community involvement office, adding that “there is grave injustice in our world and there is a violent and tragic history of oppression in our County. I am committed to transformational change.”
“In such a difficult, uncertain time, our community needs all of us to work together,” Kafoury added.
IOW, "HEY, we're on your side. Be nice to us."

Poster #6, from wikipedia...'Susheela Jayapal She is the sister of Rep. Pramila Jaypal, a Washington Democrat. Susheela Jayapal, sister of Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-WA, was elected as the Multnomah County Commissioner in Oregon on Tuesday. Fighting her first major election, Jayapal won a four-way race with 54 percent votes.
Pramila Jayapal is my representative here in Wash. state. I wonder how many of their relatives are holding other elected offices around the country to destroy our nation?

How can the mayor/governor/city council let this continue every night? It is time the citizens get the pitchforks out and after skewering the rioters in their backside they need to march straight to the city offices. Demand that this insanity stop. And short of that pack up and leave. And speaking of leaving, leave your insane notion that democrats/socialists/communists/BM Movement/progressives have the answers. They are going to cause the death of many people through one of the fires they love to set or perhaps a shooter. And when that happens they will blame us and Trump. This is crazy insanity.

Again we see the words "after the police killing of George Floyd". First, the police did not kill Floyd. Or at least can they include the word alleged? They do that, rightly so, for the guy who "allegedly" shot that 5-year old. People are innocent in this country until they either plead guilty or are found guilty in a court of law. BTW: My personal opinion is that the guy who shot that kid is guilty as hell but I am not writing a news story nor am I the one who is going to prosecute him. But we must insist on the LAW for everyone no matter how obscene it may appear at the time.

One warning shot, then shoot to kill orders. That will end the riots. ( I am just thinking out loud ). Then run the authorities out if town on a rail for allowing this garbage to occur.

When you see how they looked, and acted, when they beat that man the other night. And, how the people nearby seemed to not have any reaction, as if it's normal now, you know they are in deep trouble in Portland.
Likely best to simply let the people of Portland figure out how to manage this situation.
Trump should only mention he's willing to help, but only if they ask for the help Otherwise, they're on their own. It seems this is what they want.

When will the news media stop making references to George Floyd’s death as being the cause for the nightly rioting 2 1/2 months straight? Floyd is the farthest thing from these anarchists’ minds. They riot simply for the sake of mayhem. It’s fun for them; their lives being so meaningless.

After they assumed power during the Russian Bolshevik Revolution in 1919, the Communists gathered their agitators - the antifa if that era -, lined them up against a wall and shot them. The Commies knew they were too dangerous to keep around and night turn in them at any minute. The governments in Oregon are seeing that nightmare come true.

If poster #8 is correct, the county voters just elected one of these idiots yesterday with a majority win. Folks keep feeling sorry for the “law abiding citizens,” in these areas, but the way I see it, they are complicit in two
ways: 1. They voted for these nutcases and apparently are not willing to rise up and impeach them. 2. They don’t care enough to protect their own cities from the rioters. So, let them live in it.

It sounds like Portland is a sanctuary city for criminals. No police, no prisons...it just doesn't get better than that for thieves, muggers, rapists, murderers, drug gangs, and mobs who destroy other people's property for fun!

There is a sure way to stop these riots in their tracks. Police snipers should shoot a number of the rioters who are actually observed perpetrating criminal arson of a government building. After that while peaceful protests will continue, you will not again observe a criminal rioter setting fire to a government building, guaranteed!

If the Chinese Communist Party was to surreptitiously smuggle 200 Communist Chinese, dressed in Red Uniforms and waving Chinese Flags into Portland to riot, threatening the safety of residents, the mayor would ask Trump for immediate Federal assistance. Instead we have black-clad MARXISTS committing domestic terrorism while carrying BLM signs,
but elected leaders in Portland do NOTHING because they hate TRUMP? These riots are NOT about George Floyd, they are about paid rioters who are communists & sociopaths.
Vote for law & order, and the constitution.
