How the NFL is shooting itself in the foot,
over and over

The NFL is on the verge of precipitous decline due to a weakening of the three legs of the stool upon which the league's empire sits: attendance, viewership, and revenue. All of these items are interrelated. All three are being eroded. Taken together, it is likely that the NFL has reached its high water mark and instead of expanding, as it dreams, the league will instead diminish in importance from here on out. As to the underlying causes for the NFL's problems, start with the most glaring: the Wuhan virus.

Add to the NFL, the NBA with their very LARGE lettering on the floor of Black Lives Matter. It's offensive. So Click! They want to announce to the world that "their People" matter. Are they talking about their Inner Circle of Millionaires? Maybe they could share some of that Wealth with their Home Boys. Meanwhile, Viewers are going to find other things to watch. Hockey was worth watching this week! NASCAR is at Daytona, but they've shot themselves in the foot backing their only Black Driver when He announced he found a "Noose" in his garage (when it really was a left over garage door pull). So,I think they lost a good number of their Fans. That along with the fact that most of the Big Shot Drivers (who drew the big crowds) have retired! So for me, back to Hallmark and Netflix!

I am done with the NFL and NBA. I will not tolerate an overpaid coddled athlete taking a knee protesting the very nation that has provided the opportunity for them to make millions of dollars playing a stinking game. And presently I am on the edge as far as baseball is concerned. I have not watched a game yet this year and am not likely to. We do not need them anymore. There are better things to spend your time doing.

The Chinese virus was just an excuse to advance the idea that BLM is about black people and police. When does SOME ISOLATED police brutality have anything to do with the national anthem? Look at just about every instance where the police were viewed as overstepping the rules of behavior, and they all start with blacks not respecting the police or following the instructions of the officers. The situation ramps up to the use of force by police because they have to use force.

My beloved sport of baseball disappointed me with that stupid BLM stunt on the pitcher's mound so they are gone for good. The NFL I haven't watched in five seasons and 'warlord' Lebron James and the NBA have been off my radar since the 1990s. It's going to fun to watch the millionaires renegotiate contracts for 15K just to play with their friends on the other teams with no fans in the stadiums or endorsements. No more highly paid entertainment at the Super Bowl it will be Trixie the cocker spaniel doing tricks on stage at half time. It will do my heart good to see pro sports going belly up because of some average sleazy quarterback taking a knee. Live with chumps and owners.

"They're filled with endless commercials and a blizzard of game-stopping penalties," That alone was enough to drive me away...the commercials and stopping the action every couple of minutes to run them. You get two or three plays and then 10 commercials. Toss in the millionaire players insulting and dishonoring the US, its military, and its patriotic citizens and I will never watch another game. They can move the league to another country...Nigeria or Ghana would be appropriate..

The coronavirus pandemic is grounding Joe Biden’s campaign. The former vice president’s campaign team hasn’t booked any air travel, leaving no need to lease a plane to jet around the country for political rallies, Axios reported on Monday. With many swing states limiting the sizes of public gatherings, the Biden campaign is betting that adhering to health guidelines paves a path to the presidency. It also allows Biden, who will accept the Democratic presidential nomination at a convention being held virtually, to contrast himself with President Trump, who will be flying on Air Force One for campaign hangar rallies in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Arizona this week.

That is right up to the point where the Antifa leader decided he wanted to incite the crowd, so the Sturgis Police took him down. If you are queasy about entrusting the U.S. Postal Service with a vastly expanded role in our electoral system in the midst of a crucial election, the following news will exacerbate your nausea. Last Friday, the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) followed the lead of the American Postal Workers Union (APWU) by endorsing presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. Thus far, most objections to increasing the role of the USPS in the election process involve the inevitable logistical problems that will accompany a precipitous expansion of mail-in voting. The addition of overt partisanship among postal workers to inefficiency renders it obvious that the widespread expansion of vote-by-mail is dangerous.

Making someone as extreme as Kamala Harris a president-in-waiting is a bone-chilling prospect. No conservative or moderate should support it. I part company with some of my colleagues in that I don’t find Kamala Harris personally irritating. She’s attractive, youthful (she looks 15 years younger than her actual age, which is 55), and presentable. Her voice is neither a hectoring Midwestern drone (like Hillary Clinton’s) nor does it have the prissy professorial condescension of Elizabeth Warren’s. Her voice is fine, albeit a bit nasal. It’s Harris’s policies that repel me. While I tend to view “Flight 93” thinking as hyperbolic, she does present a major threat to the constitutional order,
