San Francisco Federal Reserve President Mary Daly said she is worried the pandemic will widen gender and racial inequalities and said policymakers need to make sure the recovery is inclusive. Daly said the crisis "magnified" gaps that existed across race, gender and other communities and that people who cannot work from home are especially challenged.
"We need to make sure that we reach back and ensure that everyone makes it through the pandemic, not just those who are fortunate enough to have a workaround," Daly said during an online conference organized by the Professional BusinessWomen of California.

And Mary Daly is someone who can have a major influence over our monetary system. She's only the president of the San Fran Federal Reserve.

And here I thought her job was to print as much money as possible to help crush the bourgeoisie by grinding them between the millstones of taxation and inflation, as urged by our unofficial founding father Vladimir Lenin.

Destroying and looting businesses that black as well as white people have worked hard for and losing their life savings will not make anyone equal.

The headline is missing the statement, "...without evidence." Just what is an 'inclusive' recovery?

How the hell did she ever become President of a federal reserve bank? Is she an Obama appointee? She did not get there by merit.

The social contract expecting everyone to work hard and take responsibility widens racial and gender inequalities. It's called life and it isn't fair

Educated and hard working people, who were successful before the Coronavirus hit, are still successful and are hurting far less than the uneducated lazy folks. And that is true regardless of their race or gender or anything else. Many of them easily moved to working at home, since they had skills and knowledge that made them valuable to their employers.
It's not racism, or sexism, or any other "ism" you can think of.
If you want to be successful in this life, you have to study and work for it. You can't legislate it. You can't force it.

The pandemic isn't holding anyone back. It is the selective, arbitrary dubbing of some industries and gatherings as essential vs non-essential.
BLM and Antifa protesters seem to have no trouble getting their next meal. Maybe allow everyone else the same ability to go about their business and see how much prosperity can return. Without the looting, vandalizing and destruction of the inner cities.

I thought the Fed was mandated to maintain a sound currency and full employment. I had no idea gender and racial issues were within the duties of the Fed.
