Steve Cramer, president and CEO of the Minneapolis Downtown Council, told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS concerns over public safety and the future of the city's police department have some companies looking to leave downtown.
"Almost overnight the brakes went on in downtown," Cramer said. "The point where it all started to change was the day the City Council announced it supported defunding the police department."

With a defunded police department businesses will be unable to obtain affordable insurance and will have no choice but to pack up and move to a more stable venue. Chances are a lot of businesses there have already taken a hit with their insurance refusing to payout damages caused by civil unrest or rioting and looting.

There soon won't be a Demon-Rat controlled city left in this country that won't look like the very worst part of Detroit before this year is over.
And I don't even feel the least bit sad about it!!!

Whatever it takes to destroy this country from the bottom up and institute fundamental transformation. Obama, Clower and Piven couldn’t be happier. So far so good.

#1 That's a great point I hadn't thought of. Insurance. If an insurance company knows an area is dangerous and could go up in flames in an instant because the local government won't provide police security, why wouldn't that insurance company up their rates and make sure a business working there can make their higher premium payments? It's called "trickle down economics" - in a bad way. On the flip side, why would a company stay or move to such an area if they can pay much less for insurance in other secure places?

This is pure insanity. I never thought I'd live to see a major U.S. city voluntarily embrace anarchy.

Does anybody out there really care about Minneapolis? The people there have elected radical hard core leftists as their city counsel so let them face the consequences of their vote.

To her credit, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is aggressively running ads on Twin Cities television and even on the sides of business trucks, inviting businesses to move to the more friendly business climate of South Dakota.

Minneapolis is a lost cause, it's finished, the voters there keep voting to destroy it, who cares if there's any jobs there or not, they want to be ruled by muslims, so let them. I'll never set foot back in that state, while muslim terrorists are controlling it.

Knowing the subversive demonrat party, they'll just end up calling the loss of 10,000 jobs a success story that must be repeated throughout the country. Warning: Comrade Cuomo is already pleading for the rich to move back to the war zone of NYC. You get what you paid for with dictatorships and cities run by demonrats. No sympathy here.

The confusing thing, to me, is the voters will go to the polls and put these people right back into office. They do not seem to get it.
