Joe Biden's Veep Delay Underscores a
Campaign and a Candidate in Chaos

Those of us silly enough to get excited about this stuff suffered a major letdown this weekend when Joe Biden’s campaign announced that Biden would not announce his vice presidential running mate on Saturday, but would instead wait another week or longer. Originally set for August 1, the announcement now won’t come before August 10, according to the New York Post. Biden’s pick is going to be a woman unless Biden breaks his vow from last March, and she’s probably going a “woman of color.” Given the realities of the American political landscape, that’s a short list of potential running mates. Biden had apparently narrowed

Potential VP: I'd like to meet with the Senator and discuss the VP position. Campaign rep: Well, he's not talking with anyone right now. We'll have to get back to you. ... Crickets ... Incompetence and confusion has become the dem brand. That can't be good. They are not sure they actually have a presidential candidate let alone a VP choice. The VP is supposed to be able to replace the President if he becomes incapacitated while in office. It has never happened before he was elected. This is the result of the insanity roiling around the dems today. They had a primary and the actual choice was "none of the above" but instead of accepting that, as dems usually do, they fudged the results and declared a senile person the winner. This seems eerily appropriate for the dem party in its current state.

Replys 1. and 2. just point out how pathetic the liberal mind of the Dems truly is. And in my mind it is actually because they are not only able to reason, but it is really worse than that as the show me again and again that they REFUSE to even try to reason. They have a lot of screws in their illustrious minds that keep searching and searching for the nuts to make them whole, but they never seem to find them. Just my simple mind stating a simple theorem!!!

If he were to win, it would be a dementia patient hand picking the next president. And then that unelected president picking an unelected VP for herself. I think the original method of the person with the second highest vote total being the VP, makes more sense. If we knew Bernie was the one waiting in the wings, it might affect some voters.

Historically, the Veep has been a non-entity. Someone viewed as stable and with no baggage to pull the top guy/gal down. Plus, you don't want people saying: The roles should be reversed --- which many felt with Dole! Also, if the Veep has deep issues, vetting them becomes a huge & expensive problem. That being said, I'm beginning to think the top of the ticket is actually the problem here as he deteriorates quicker than thought. Those of us with experience dealing with relatives and friends who got dementia will tell you it can come on very quick and the person can literally change for the worse in as little as 6 weeks. Some will nose dive almost while you're watching them! Very sad. One minute they are here with you and the next they are in la-la land again.

Hey Joe! Stacey Abrams is on line 1 again! The problem with Befuddled Biden is he cannot remember any conversations he has had or with who, and he cannot make a decision. Biden's choices are five black women. He has to pick a black woman because of today's environment. The biggest lefty among them has no recognition, and doesn't help Biden at all. Three were involved in law enforcement, and most Democrats hate law enforcement. The final choice was Obama's paid liar, and would be a lightening rod. None of them are ready to be President. Biden should never have received the nomination. He isn't up for the job. The problem was all the other Democrat alternatives were worse. They wanted a hardcore lefty progressive, but a majority of Americans don't. The dirty little secret here is the Obama presidency lead the Democrat party into a political dead end.

There is no VP choice he can make that will improve his chances to win the election. The Democrats know that as well as anyone. Therefore, the only thing that seems certain about the election itself is that it will not be orderly and smooth, even though Biden will lose both the majority as well as electoral votes. "Hanging chads" will seem like the good old days compared with the chaos of counting mailed votes, absentee ballots, and military votes-- probably millions of them all together. We know the communist totalitarians are absolutely desperate. But we haven't seen the depths of their desperation, or of their willingness to destroy the country to gain complete power. Buckle up. It's going to be a rough ride through October and beyond. In the midst of all this stand Barr and Durham. In many ways, what happens with Durham and Barr is as crucial as the election itself, or even moreso. We have witnessed the greatest scandal in American history, a complex conspiracy to overturn an election, involving the most powerful agencies of federal government that the Democrats, under Obama, weaponised. As we near the end of Trump's first term, no one-- not one of the cohort of traitors-- has been held accountable and punished. This fact is as stunning and disturbing as any other aspect of the current political madness. Who Biden chooses as VP is a nothing burger in this larger context. If there are no indictments following Durham's report, it almost doesn't matter what happens in the election. The traitors will remain in place, and the rule of law will be dead. The death of the rule of law would be like what Dostoevsky said of the "death of God"-- "Now everything is permitted."

Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump kept his "put America first" promise and pulled the United States out of this Obama-era treaty. Biden wants us back in. Why? Paris is an unmitigated failure. You don't have to take my word for it. National Geographic, a supporter of climate change action, recently ran the numbers and admitted in its recent headline: "Most countries aren't hitting 2030 climate goals."

Teachers unions have been instrumental in keeping American schools online during the pandemic. But some have escalated their positions on reopening to include an array of social justice demands. A set of demands from teachers unions in July, which addressed how to safely reopen schools amid a pandemic, was criticized by The Wall Street Journal editorial board as “political extortion.” The board argued that unions were taking advantage of a health crisis to advance their own ideological agendas and to eliminate competition from charter schools.

President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
