Word on the net tonight was that the action was going to be — supposedly — in Austin, Texas as Antifa/BLM was holding a memorial for Garrett Foster, the moron who pointed the business end of an AK-47 at active duty Army Sargeant Daniel Perry, who is well trained to not wait for the other guy to shoot first once engaged. The not-so-well-trained former Air Force mechanic Foster ended up on the losing end of a shootout due to his failure to get off a shot.

I loved the video pf the police advancing on horses-those petulant kids playing protesters didn't know what to do when confronted with a big animal. The best was at the very end when you could hear a woman screaming "What the 4uck is happening!!!" Good for you, Austin PD.

In Austin they have a T shirt that says Keep Austin Weird.
In Houston we have one that says Keep Austin 170 Miles Away.

Depending on the type of rioters, such as what London had in June, certain aggressive thugs have no problem hurling projectiles at police horses. Hooray this was not the case here!! Heh heh BRAVO !!

Reading the comments under the article, two points:
1) ALL members of the Army (except maybe the chaplains) are trained in basic combat skills, and yes, we get bragging rights for better marksmanship skills, special combat quailfications (indicted by tabs and badges), combat patches and medals indicating service in war or OOTW.
2) From the picture I saw of SGT Perry in uniform, he seems to be an Infantryman assigned to Cavalry unit (that's helicopters or tanks, these days), somebody who DOES spend his duty hours maintaining his combat skills (and SHARP training).

As a horse lover and former horse owner, if I were a police officer and one of those vermin attacked my horse, I would shoot the “protester” without a second thought.

Just goes to show you how dumb those protesters are. Dumb enough to protest in an Open Carry State. Dumb enough to stand in front a number of police on Horses and actually think the horses will stop! I applaud those Police for riding right through the crowd. Too bad Portland didn't get tough the first night of their Riots. I think it's going to take Tanks and Police, in Riot Gear and with Real guns, to clean up that Rat's Nest!

Good job Austin PD. Perhaps citizens taking matters LEGALLY into their own hands and wiping out one moron "demonstrator" has reset the standards a bit towards normal.
HARD FACT: If the government fails to protect citizens and enforce the laws, honest citizens will only put up with the anarchy and crime for a certain period - basically giving the government/police a chance to 'regain their sanity" - before they will begin to protect themselves, and with guns in most cases.
It appears that the Austin PD or their bosses have realized that letting this go will result in more citizens shooting more of these idiot anarchist thugs, and that they had better go back to enforcing the laws if they don't want more LEGAL bloodshed. Note that the guy who shot the rifle-wielding anarchist is NOT detained.

Do the red reflections on the windows and the the horses' blinders mean that the protesters were trying to blind the horses?
Does the attempt by the peaceful protesters to blind officers with laser constitute "great bodily harm". If so, can the police shoot them?

There is a lesson to be learned from this. Arm yourselves America! When legally justified protect yourself and your family when from these violent anarchists.

Looked like the APD and Texas DPS nipped it in the ‘peaceful’ bud. I am actually visiting Austin this week. Was not down on Congress, but last night about 10pm did notice a few police helicopters flying around Barton Springs road. Actually no one mentions that yesterday was the 54 anniversary of the UT Tower shooting. Our family chose to visit Caverns of Sonora instead of Austin that day. A few of my UT professors got tenure from that....
