The largest police union in Florida voted to endorse President Trump in the 2020 election. The Florida Police Benevolent Association's president, John Kazanjian, said on Friday that Trump has sided with law enforcement amid a wave of anti-police sentiment during nationwide protests against police brutality and racial injustice that have taken place over the past several months."I spelled it out. What’s going on in not just in Florida but across this country that, ‘Hey, you know what, we’re getting beat up. We’re being used like a punching bag, and we’re tired of it. And President Donald Trump has been there for us. He supported us,'"

It should not just be current law enforcement, but their families and anyone who loves a family member who's in law enforcement (includes corrections officers) Also, if you're in the military, and you think they aren't coming for you next, you better think again.

While I applaud the police union in Florida and believe what he says about the law enforcement across the continent, he needs to be reminded that a police officer swear by the Constitution and not the governors who abuse their authorities. When we have protestors out in front of abortion mills and arresting citizens who refuse to wear a mask, while in the open, there tends to be a rising schism between the citizens and law enforcement. I take what is happening in New Jersey, for instance. A house party was invaded and the tags of the attendees' cars were recorded. That is a police state.

Chicago saw a dramatic increase in homicides and shootings in the first seven months of 2020 and a particularly remarkable increase in July, reflecting a growing trend in the U.S. that raised questions about potential police reform in major cities.Data released on Saturday showed that Chicago saw 440 homicides between January 2020 through the end of June, a 52 percent increase from the same time period last year (which saw 290 homicides). Shooting victims similarly increased by 51 percent (1,480 to 2,240) and shooting incidents themselves rose 47 percent (from 1,210 to 1,783).Crime tends to increase during summers, but recent events have fueled unrest in the U.S.

One of the many great things about being an American is that we have the right to freedom of speech. I may not agree with what my neighbor has to say, but I will fight to the death for his or her ability to say it. This concept was a founding principle that is now in jeopardy because of the monopoly power wielded by social media giants. An example of this disturbing trend occurred this week when a video from several frontline doctors who questioned the status quo position on COVID-19 treatments and protocols was summarily scrubbed from most top internet and social media sites. After going “viral,” the video was immediately

In a role reversal from their eight years together in the White House, Barack Obama has become Joe Biden’s wingman and, in his understated way, his hatchet man.The former president’s Thursday eulogy for the late Rep. John Lewis, a Georgia Democrat who was active in the civil rights movement, was a case in point. Obama criticized President Trump and reminded Democrats who they would be letting down if they didn’t elect Biden and a Democratic Senate, urging them to jettison the filibuster — a key institutional obstacle to liberal ambitions — as a “relic of Jim Crow.”

Well, it may be time to deploy the military to Seattle after all because what local lawmakers are doing is nothing short of allowing the city to be engulfed in violence and anarchy. They’re moving to abolish the police. It’s not defunding. It’s a total dissolution. Non-profit programs and “community-led activities” will replace policing. Why? Well, according to the resolution, the Seattle Police Department perpetuates racism and violence. Oh, yes, and it’s a vehicle of white supremacy. It's typical 'woke' nonsense, and it's a cancer that's killing America.

Admiration for George W. Bush doesn’t win you much praise in today’s Republican Party, but I don’t care. On Thursday former President George W. Bush attended and delivered a speech at the late Congressman John Lewis’s funeral. George W. Bush had every reason not to attend Lewis’s funeral, let alone eulogize him. Lewis may have been a famed civil rights leader, but he was also a bitter partisan Democrat congressman, who boycotted both of Bush’s inaugurations. Bush barely mentioned the political division between him and Lewis. “John and I had our disagreements of course,” Bush said.
