WASHINGTON – Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, previously said the announcement of his running mate would be in the first week of August. But that announcement has been pushed back. A source familiar with the process said that an announcement isn't likely next week. According to the New York Times and CNN, the announcement will come the week before the Democratic National Convention, which is scheduled for Aug. 17 to 20. Three candidates, Karen Bass of California, Sen. Kamala Harris of California and former national security advisor Susan Rice, have emerged as the top contenders for Biden's running

They must have found a few too many skeletons in Kamalala's closet.

Whoever Sleepy Joe picks will be the "Sarah Palin" of the campaign. In other words...the designated loser. Just put up a good front and try not to embarrass yourself so you can still get a MSNBC reporting job in the future, like Karl Rove got at FOX news.

He is scrambling to find someone acceptable to the Bernie Bros. Maybe he is considering Ayanna Pressley. Black, check. Communist, check. Female (I think), check. Old enough, check. Even though Massachusetts is in the bag for the rats the radical left would certainly love her more than any of the other black women he is supposedly considering.

Traditionally, the VP candidate is supposed to be the loudspeaker and attack dog for the Presidential candidate. Susan Rice would not fulfill this role very well. She would be a drag on the ticket.

I believe the problem is, Biden has backed himself into a corner. A Black woman, qualified to be president? How many of those are there, especially on the democrat side. All three so-called "front runners" are not qualified. Plus as much as we know about them, Biden's handlers looking deeply in their past histories are probably having sleepless nights. I think this is the classic case of choosing the lesser of three evils.

#3, the ONLY reason I voted for McCain was because Palin was on the ticket. For the entire first term of the messiah my car sported a bumper sticker which said “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted For Palin”. As for the women under consideration by Biden’s handlers - every one of them is a disaster. I still think they should choose Abrams - she is the poster child for women who can’t make it without Biden’s help.

More proof that it's the media campaigning against Trump rather than Biden: the tokenism of the running mate is strictly for the media's ends ie hype and moralizing. In the past, the running mate was usually an ideological soulmate or someone who could guarantee their state - merely 1 of 50 - would vote for the ticket. Gerry Ferraro is a notable exception but that was last-ditch-effort stuff as Mondale faced a landslide. 36 years after 'an historic choice' the Dems, as usual, have forgotten history. Dems and the media are determined not to examine the downside of tokenism. It got Obama elected but his administrations oscillated between between corruption and incompetence and made many realize that identity politics really is a silly, simple-minded approach. I admit I didn't know much about this Bass creature but she looks like a cafeteria manager who wandered into the House of Representatives.

Why would Mooch want it, #36? She hated living in the WH even when nothing was required of her other than standing with Smidgen at state dinner photo-ops. She’s just as lazy as he is and wouldn’t want to have to show up every day and actually work when she could be living her current lifestyle - jet-setting around the globe with her pals, playing on Netflix, getting adoring television appearances, hopping back and forth between her mansions and raking in a lot more cash than the presidency provides. And the fact that Smidgen might want her to run would be the death knell - they are like the Clintons - a marriage of convenience where they rarely spend time together unless it’s to woo the media.

Yes, Biden built his own trap. Only a black woman will now satisfy the base and his choices aren't good. I am pretty sure many Democrats wish his options were more flexible, allowing a choice such as Elizabeth Warren. Slo Joe won't make the call. Obie, Valjar, Axelrod will, but Lucianne's comment may be spot on; Who wants it ? Who wants to ruin Presidential aspirations with a humiliating drubbing? Harris seemed the frontrunner with Biden looking good a few weeks ago but not today, with DjT's numbers rebounding. Or they've realized Harris would neuter Joe --or worse--at first opportunity and take the Oval and not listen to the anointed tri-umverate. She's out, for this reason or that. Bass --a relative unknown--is one of the few who's stature would be elevated and likely to accept. She can slink back to house anonymity after a landslide loss. Bass also has strong commie roots, so IF they pulled an upset, she'd fit right in with the signal callers. That's not happening, either.

Do you really think that the leftist and liberal Democrat big shots are going to allow Joseph Biden in his confused mental condition to select his Vice-President who for all intents and purposes will be the uncover President from the get-go? In reality it will be Barack Obama who will make the VP selection with cover from the Democrat so-called Super Delegates. That means Obama will also have covert and undo influence over any such Administration. Far more then any other past former President, who have always backed away from the Presidency, after serving their terms in office in accordance with the relevant Constitutional requirement.

#36-39, Michelle's real addiction was to the bright lights and the camera. She obsessed on being a "star" more than she enjoyed being a first "lady." As a bonus this time around, the children will not have to suffer through another one of her lunch programs because the dimocrats will keep the schools closed and the Wall of Moms will not have to put them through the spinach and apple routine. If they gave her a daily televised presser with the kneepad media constantly reinforcing her intelligence and superiority I think she would jump at the chance. The country, of course, would not survive it.

A bed and breakfast in Saint Johns, Michigan has removed a Norwegian flag from the building after dozens of people allegedly confused it for the Confederate flag and complained. According to WILX-10, “dozens of guests and people driving by have accused the couple” behind the Nordic Pineapple Bed and Breakfast “of flying a Confederate flag.” Kjersten Offbecker, one of the owners, said, “They are the same color, but there are no stars on the Norwegian flag, and the Confederate flag is a big ‘x’ and the Norwegian flag is part of the Nordic countries, they’re all crosses.” Offbecker claimed angry

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg underwent a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure on a bile duct stent she received last year, the Supreme Court said Wednesday. Ginsburg, who was admitted at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, is expected to be released from the hospital by the end of the week. Per the court, Ginsburg's doctors say stent revisions are common, and done to minimize the risk of infection in the future. Ginsburg — who, at 87, is the oldest member on the court — disclosed earlier this month that she is undergoing chemotherapy for a reoccurrence of pancreatic cancer.

Lt Colonel Alexander Vindman, 45, wrote a scathing op ed in The Washington Post on Saturday - the first day of his retirement. 'At no point in my career or life have I felt our nation's values under greater threat and in more peril than at this moment,' said the Ukrainian-born lieutenant colonel.

While rioters previously attacked federal buildings, businesses, and even officers, this weekend, they found a new target: Bibles. A video posted to Twitter on Saturday shows rioters holding Black Lives Matter signs tossing Bibles into a fire. Bystanders stood and watched as the flames licked away at the pages of the books. “Left-wing activists bring a stack of Bibles to burn in front of the federal courthouse in Portland,” wrote the Twitter user, Ian Cheong, who posted the video.

During the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein citizen Donald Trump’s name came up. The FBI attempted over and over to tie the famous New York developer to misconduct, but to no avail. Per a review of documents released last night in the Jeffrey Epstein case, the FBI tried to tie the now deceased pedophile to citizen Donald Trump but were unable to do so. The FBI failed to drag Trump into the Epstein mess. But they sure tried. One of the abused victims mentioned that Donald Trump was a good friend of Epstein’s.

The Cato Institute just released a new report showing that 62 percent of Americans are inclined to self-censor what they say politically “because others might find them offensive.” (Snip) The “very conservative” have been pushed deepest in the closet: they are most likely to refrain from saying what they think politically, at nearly twice the rate of the “very liberal.”(Snip)Across all age ranges, 78 percent said it would be wrong to fire an executive for making a personal donation to Biden, while only 69 percent believe it’s wrong to fire one simply for being a Trump donor.

On Aug. 1, 1945, 12-year-old Hideko Sudo went to bed fully clothed and full of worry. For days, air raid alerts had left the coastal city of Toyama on edge, prompting her school's closure. More alarmingly, earlier that day, American planes had rained down leaflets warning of an imminent attack. Hideko's fears proved well-founded. Despite a sophisticated alert system and a decade of air defense drills, the arrival just after midnight of a wave of B-29 bombers plunged Toyama into chaos. Superfortresses — 173 of them — encountered only sparse antiaircraft fire as they released around 1,500 tons of incendiaries onto the city's center.

How many tens of thousands of Americans must die because of Dr. Fauci’s mistakes? It is becoming more and more apparent with each new day and as more information is accumulated that Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx, the CDC and the FDA failed in their response to the China Coronavirus. Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx pushed a completely fraudulent Imperial College study to lockdown and destroy the greatest economy in US history. Dr. Anthony Fauci has made at least 15 critical mistakes and contradictions since the start of the pandemic in March. Perhaps Dr. Fauci’s most deadly mistake is his response to hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) treatments for the disease.

A “cold and ruthless” President Obama abandoned his Kenyan family in their greatest hours of need, according to a new tell-all by estranged half brother Malik Obama. “He got rich and became a snob,” Malik, 62, told The Post via Skype from his home in the Kenyan village of Nyang’oma Kogelo. “What I saw was he was the kind of person that wants people to worship him. He needs to be worshiped and I don’t do that. I am his older brother so I don’t do that.” The book, “Big Bad Brother From Kenya,” a self-published memoir which Malik Obama spent 22 years writing, hit Amazon with little fanfare on July 11.

“Every day’s a good day when you paint.” —Bob Ross (1942–1995) Staring at the empty canvas on the easel in front of me, I couldn’t understand how this—nothing—might somehow transform into even a rough approximation of the Bob Ross painting we were using as a model. That painting was classic Bob Ross: a snowy landscape bursting with color, a world of glimmering trees and vibrant shrubs around a slick, icy pond. Gazing at it evoked that feeling you get sitting by a fire on a crisp, cold night. No way I could make anything like that. I was in a room on the side of a big-box craft store

Former national security adviser Susan Rice would be a “human lightning rod” if selected to be Democrat Joe Biden’s running mate, a Washington Post columnist wrote Friday. Rice, who is reported to be among shrinking list of Biden vice presidential contenders, has the advantage of a longstanding close relationship with Biden, unlike any of the other names on the list. But Biden's want for “familiarity and comfort” are luxuries the nation doesn’t have time for in this singular time of crisis, Post columnist Dana Milbank writes. Despite Rice’s impressive resume -- Rhodes scholar, Oxford, U.N ambassador, national security adviser -- she has serious Benghazi baggage

Lawmakers reported progress on a huge coronavirus relief bill Saturday, as political pressure mounts to restore an expired $600-per-week supplemental unemployment benefit and send funding to help schools reopen. “This was the longest meeting we’ve had and it was more productive than the other meetings,” said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., who was part of the rare weekend session. “We’re not close yet, but it was a productive discussion — now each side knows where they’re at.” (snip) The Democratic leaders are eager for an expansive agreement, as are President Donald Trump and top Republicans like Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.
