WASHINGTON – Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, previously said the announcement of his running mate would be in the first week of August. But that announcement has been pushed back. A source familiar with the process said that an announcement isn't likely next week. According to the New York Times and CNN, the announcement will come the week before the Democratic National Convention, which is scheduled for Aug. 17 to 20. Three candidates, Karen Bass of California, Sen. Kamala Harris of California and former national security advisor Susan Rice, have emerged as the top contenders for Biden's running

Whoever Sleepy Joe picks will be the "Sarah Palin" of the campaign. In other words...the designated loser. Just put up a good front and try not to embarrass yourself so you can still get a MSNBC reporting job in the future, like Karl Rove got at FOX news.

He is scrambling to find someone acceptable to the Bernie Bros. Maybe he is considering Ayanna Pressley. Black, check. Communist, check. Female (I think), check. Old enough, check. Even though Massachusetts is in the bag for the rats the radical left would certainly love her more than any of the other black women he is supposedly considering.

Traditionally, the VP candidate is supposed to be the loudspeaker and attack dog for the Presidential candidate. Susan Rice would not fulfill this role very well. She would be a drag on the ticket.

Joe is simply negotiating for better terms for his surrender of any real part of the Presidency. With the lid coming off the entire Epstein case this year, trips to the island to sniff little girls' hair are off the table as a part of the surrender.

I believe the problem is, Biden has backed himself into a corner. A Black woman, qualified to be president? How many of those are there, especially on the democrat side. All three so-called "front runners" are not qualified. Plus as much as we know about them, Biden's handlers looking deeply in their past histories are probably having sleepless nights. I think this is the classic case of choosing the lesser of three evils.

#3, the ONLY reason I voted for McCain was because Palin was on the ticket. For the entire first term of the messiah my car sported a bumper sticker which said “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted For Palin”.
As for the women under consideration by Biden’s handlers - every one of them is a disaster. I still think they should choose Abrams - she is the poster child for women who can’t make it without Biden’s help.

More proof that it's the media campaigning against Trump rather than Biden: the tokenism of the running mate is strictly for the media's ends ie hype and moralizing.
In the past, the running mate was usually an ideological soulmate or someone who could guarantee their state - merely 1 of 50 - would vote for the ticket.
Gerry Ferraro is a notable exception but that was last-ditch-effort stuff as Mondale faced a landslide. 36 years after 'an historic choice' the Dems, as usual, have forgotten history.
Dems and the media are determined not to examine the downside of tokenism. It got Obama elected but his administrations oscillated between between corruption and incompetence and made many realize that identity politics really is a silly, simple-minded approach.
I admit I didn't know much about this Bass creature but she looks like a cafeteria manager who wandered into the House of Representatives.

It would be a shame if Kamala spent all that money on a facelift for nothing.
The real problem is that the democrats realize they are picking the POTUS, not the VP. Joe may occupy the big chair for a short time, at best.

A VP pick can either hurt your campaign or have a neutral effect. It never wins you the election.
I cannot imagine any rational person being comfortable with Biden's handler's choices for VP being that close to becoming President.
I wouldn't want any of them on city council.

The problem - the Barr/Durham Spygate report is only about a month out and the contenders will all be named in the report as co-conspirators. The contenders who are not picked will be cast aside and will serve as the poster childs for the contender who IS picked.

It will be Michelle. She will excite the base, the black vote, all the guilty white commies. She loathed being the Presidents lowly First Lady. But to have power. ...she would revel in that. For hate filled, spiteful, revenge driven communists, power is all that matters. Look at all the plotting that went on with the Russia hoax...the mail- in ballots...national .chaos. Don't think for a moment that they aren't conspiring for ultimate power behind the scenes.

Democrats painted themselves into this corner. First, they had so many Candidates they practically had them falling off the Stage. Then, they decided to Choose Old Joe! The guy who is too old, has Dementia, is Creepy around women and little girls and hasn't accomplished a thing in 45 years in Congress! Add to that Old Joe decided to announce he would choose a Black Woman for his VP. Now the problem is, he can't find any who are qualified to be a Wal-Mart Checker let along a VP! So here is Joe. Still in his Basement. Still with no VP. What to do? Maybe he should call Ghost Busters!

Why would Mooch want it, #36? She hated living in the WH even when nothing was required of her other than standing with Smidgen at state dinner photo-ops. She’s just as lazy as he is and wouldn’t want to have to show up every day and actually work when she could be living her current lifestyle - jet-setting around the globe with her pals, playing on Netflix, getting adoring television appearances, hopping back and forth between her mansions and raking in a lot more cash than the presidency provides. And the fact that Smidgen might want her to run would be the death knell - they are like the Clintons - a marriage of convenience where they rarely spend time together unless it’s to woo the media.

Yes, Biden built his own trap. Only a black woman will now satisfy the base and his choices aren't good. I am pretty sure many Democrats wish his options were more flexible, allowing a choice such as Elizabeth Warren. I cannot stand a single thing about that woman, but she would be seen as Oval Office-ready when Biden finally melts down.

Slo Joe won't make the call. Obie, Valjar, Axelrod will, but Lucianne's comment may be spot on; Who wants it ? Who wants to ruin Presidential aspirations with a humiliating drubbing? Harris seemed the frontrunner with Biden looking good a few weeks ago but not today, with DjT's numbers rebounding. Or they've realized Harris would neuter Joe --or worse--at first opportunity and take the Oval and not listen to the anointed tri-umverate. She's out, for this reason or that.
Bass --a relative unknown--is one of the few who's stature would be elevated and likely to accept. She can slink back to house anonymity after a landslide loss. Bass also has strong commie roots, so IF they pulled an upset, she'd fit right in with the signal callers.
That's not happening, either.

Do you really think that the leftist and liberal Democrat big shots are going to allow Joseph Biden in his confused mental condition to select his Vice-President who for all intents and purposes will be the uncover President from the get-go?
In reality it will be Barack Obama who will make the VP selection with cover from the Democrat so-called Super Delegates. That means Obama will also have covert and undo influence over any such Administration. Far more then any other past former President, who have always backed away from the Presidency, after serving their terms in office in accordance with the relevant Constitutional requirement.

The list is basically a rogues' gallery. Choose your poison--the Benghazi front person, a socialist who lied her way to the top, a friend of Fidel's, a friend of Willie Brown's . . . . Slim Pickings, baby. Is Sleepy Joe crying out for a bigger boat? Is he polling and planning damage control? Is he trying to thumb his nose at the progs who are forcing a 4-star lefty on him? Is he awake? Asleep? Dormant? Supine? Compared with Mike Pence . . . there is no comparison.
And kudos to the Donald for saying that Kamalalala would be a fine candidate (for them to attack endlessly).

#36-39, Michelle's real addiction was to the bright lights and the camera. She obsessed on being a "star" more than she enjoyed being a first "lady." As a bonus this time around, the children will not have to suffer through another one of her lunch programs because the dimocrats will keep the schools closed and the Wall of Moms will not have to put them through the spinach and apple routine. If they gave her a daily televised presser with the kneepad media constantly reinforcing her intelligence and superiority I think she would jump at the chance. The country, of course, would not survive it.

Hussein-Obama wants back in The White House. Lots of unfinished business. The only way is to get Michelle on the ticket with Biden. She's having too much fun with no responsibility so the Democrats are really going to have to step up to make it worth her while. Not sure what its going to take but its going to be bigtime. This is why an extra week is needed. Thought they had her but her demands increased dramatically.

Hilarious, really, that the Biden VP candidate MUST be black (uh, sorry, Black) and a woman. Pretty racist and sexist, if you ask me. And how does that make the 12 other genders feel, huh?
Imagine the screams if Biden said the VP candidate had to be white and male.
After 50 years of “affirmative action,” haven’t we overcompensated enough? When did merit stop being a value?
