A bed and breakfast in Saint Johns, Michigan has removed a Norwegian flag from the building after dozens of people allegedly confused it for the Confederate flag and complained. According to WILX-10, “dozens of guests and people driving by have accused the couple” behind the Nordic Pineapple Bed and Breakfast “of flying a Confederate flag.” Kjersten Offbecker, one of the owners, said, “They are the same color, but there are no stars on the Norwegian flag, and the Confederate flag is a big ‘x’ and the Norwegian flag is part of the Nordic countries, they’re all crosses.” Offbecker claimed angry

I think a better solution would have been to put up a big sign next to the flag saying, "This is not the Confederate Flag, it is the Norwegian flag" but do it in Norwegian. "Dette er ikke det konfødererte flagget, det er det norske flagget".

This reminds me of when the left started coming after the Confederate battle flag several years ago. A relative of mine purchased a Stars and Bars Confederate flag but was afraid to fly it at her suburban Chicago home. I told her to go ahead and do it - most people wouldn’t know what it was and some would probably mistake it for the flag of Puerto Rico. The amount of ignorance in the world today is truly mind boggling. And tragic.

Well... I was driving from Sarasota to Atlanta yesterday and somewhere between Tampa and Gainesville (I think) there is a HUGE Confederate Flag flying all alone. Must be 24x32 feet, maybe larger. At no point in time did I look up at the flag and wonder quietly "Gee... how the heck did I end up in Norway?". The left has always spent their effort on fighting symbolism while hardly lifting a finger to fight anything in the real world. Now they seem to want to bring their energy to fight things that make them THINK of symbols. And the 8 year old girls still get shot in their decaying communities, and the ones who make it to 15 stand a high chance of being mothers at 16. I want to scream at the entire black community and just say "GROW the F%^# UP!".

Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden has extended his vice-presidential search by as much as two weeks, intensifying the jockeying and lobbying between allies of the women who hope to join his White House. Even some longtime Biden allies worry the process has become “messier than it should be,” pitting women, especially Black women, against one another. (Snip) The increasing nastiness is fueled by a sense, even among Biden’s closest advisers, that Biden is entering the final phase of the search without a clear favorite. Rather than a traditional “shortlist” of three candidates, people close to the process expect him to
