“Minneapolis residents in some areas still recovering from rioting and unrest are forming community watch and security groups, some bearing firearms, to fight a surge of crime,” reports the Wall Street Journal.
While no one can blame the residents — in fact they should be applauded for doing what it takes to protect their own – this is, in ways I’ll explain below, not good. It is, however, a sign of things to come in countless Democrat-run cities:

Militias might sound like a good idea but they don't enforce the law, they act upon their fears and prejudices....justified or not. And forget about due process.

Exactly how the Constitution says it should work. We all have the God-given right to protect ourselves from tyrannical governments. Go Minny Militas!

The first thing they need to do is, with their masks on to protect their identities, Secretly gag them if necessary then ARREST ALL the politicians that caused the problems, lock them in an undisclosed location, isolated from others, and keep them in detention until everything blows over. That way the real causes of the mayhem are out of the picture. Once things get better they can be released but with blindfolds etc.

The way to create militias is to allow lawlessness. You don't want militias to protect themselves and their property? Then enforce the law! It isn't difficult to understand.
I'm with the militias in this case. That is what the Second Amendment is for!

What happens when more of the people living in a state hate the Constitution rather than revere it? Yet they prefer living in a country where the Constitution protects their rights. The heck with anyone else's rights.

Hmmm, yesterday, thinking about all the damned riots, as I was driving home I was considering how best to block off the access road into our area...granted, I'm in the country and the road is narrow and twisting, but still, one needs to be prepared....

'Defund the Police' just makes the Second Amendment, and the NRA, more important. The left is really in a box. They think having reprobates burning down their cities makes Trump look bad. I don't know about that.

I commented works ago t ht at history teaches that when the law is absent, people form committees if vigilance for self protection against criminals.
This is not surprising in the slightest.

Yes, vigilantism can be problematic, but it is the far better alternative to anarchy! Vigilantes in the old, wild days of Frisco rode roughshod over some other people’s rights, but they had to enforce order, howbeit imperfectly.

Militias are a better idea than doing nothing.
As Mr. Nolte points out.
Perhaps we should impose mandatory fire arms training in our public schools. Recall that Hitler never invaded Switzerland, primarily because military service was compulsory and everyone owned a firearm and knew how to use it.

Oh my! Those marauding Amish from Mogadishu have imported their own form of justice.
I say Minneapolis has brought this on themselves. It happens when people are sooooooo broad-minded their brains fall out! Let Minneapolis and Minnesota deal with the consequences.

#1, apparently the DOJ, FBI and MN government police forces don't enforce the law either, unless you're not a leftard. So what's the difference?
And when did Flynn or Stone or Libby or a raft of others actually get 'due process' as opposed to being railroaded? So there is no difference and hasn't been for decades. It's just now that some people are waking up to the fact out Republic is in peril due to leftards cheating, blackmailing, extorting and murdering they way into political power.

Nolte suggests that militias or neighborhood watch groups may not enforce the law. REALLY?
OK, what's Nolte's 'Plan 9': leave it to ANTIFA and the Commiecrats to patrol?

Bring back the Wild Wild West where posses were formed, they chased the perps down, and after catching them, they hanged them. That'd put a stop to the riots rather quickly.

Militias? Not actually, more like Committees of Vigilance for criminal actions. Home-brewed police and often devolve (unfortunately) into judge-jury-executioner ---- all rolled into one "handy" package. We should avoid having vigilante "justice"....but if there is no other kind available - history has shown, amateurs will fill the void. If you want to stop this or avoid this - get real police, real prosecutors and catch, prosecute and incarcerate the criminals. Otherwise - We, the People, will do it, and probably not so nicely and neatly.
Militias are for political actions, they are paramilitary units, NOT police units. These are NOT militias.
