NFL fans will be required to wear protective face masks while attending games this fall due to the coronavirus pandemic. Several NFL teams, including the Cleveland Browns, had already announced individual mandates for face masks. The league’s 32 franchises are preparing to play games with reduced attendance levels this fall. “For those wondering, yes, it is league-wide: fans at NFL games this season will be required to wear face coverings,” a league spokesperson, Brian McCarthy, tweeted Wednesday. (Tweet) The NFL said it would determine which teams would be able to host fans on a case-by-case basis according to guidance from
Just ‘ nuther nail in their coffin. Keep kneeling boys, just keep it up.

Since I gave up on the anti-American kneelers 3 years ago, this will not affect me. I believe they will be playing to reduced attendance levels, though.

I'm so over football. Used to watch my "SOMETHING SKINS", BUT NO MORE. As the saying goes I keel to God and stand for our National Anthem. As far as the masks go, I try to refuse to wear one because of COPD and I don't like the fact that it's making us look like what China would like to see.... Us looking like them. Just sayin....

Let them kneel with their masks on.
I'll be someplace else with my mask in the trash bin.
Somebody should have told the people who stormed the beaches on D-Day to wear masks
If there was any indication that masks were effective ...
Mask mandates are a visible indication that our "lawmakers" actually know what they are doing. Nothing more.

Bye-bye NFL. Your sell-by date has long since expired. Whenever you drips do play, better make sure you're wearing the heavy-duty knee pads for all that grovelling and kneeling you'll be doing to your leftist overlords.

This will certainly slow down the consumption of over-priced beer and nachos.

For the longest time, the only reason I watched Pro (well, let’s say extended high school football) football is to watch the cheerleaders lead and cheer...they have better moves than the players, anyway. No loss to me to stay home and turn the channel to pro golf... more excitement and you never know when a squirrel will run across the green.

If I were a fan, if I ever planned to attend any game except a 1995 Viking game, I'd just put up a sign saying '' Just Shoot Me Now!''

Why masks? The five fans they have left will have their own section of seats.

That way they can blame it on mask rule and Politics has nothing to do with another season of empty stadiums.

Yeah, just got word from another one of my friends, he just cancelled his Jets season tickets. I teased him about waiting for so long (you must be a masochist, you must love pain) to cancel his Jets tix. I wonder just how many have done this nationwide.

Oh, good. That means Sean Hannity can go to a football game. I've heard him say he would wear a mask or do anything just so he could go to a game. Go for it, Sean!

I hate to report this, but my town has gone over to the mask hysteria. We have had ONE corona-cootie death in the last 6 months. ONE. Pestering Progressive busybodies have been pushing masks. Like Antifa, they are organized. My favorite grocery store, Fred Meyers, has stated they now require masks. Oh, boy, today is grocery day for me...I'm about to run into the horror that is Progressiveism. Turns out, it wasn't that bad. At the front door they had a guy with a box of masks, who asked me, "Would you like a mask?' I responded, "No I'm good." Understand, I have been carrying a handkerchief in my pocket since 1958. I cover my mouth with the handkerchief if I cough or sneeze. I don't need to strap the handkerchief to my face, because Health care 'Professionals' think I'm too stupid to do that. We have Big Cities now that have welcomed the third world to aggregate there. Maybe their Moms and Dads never told them to cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze. Those same cities are hollowed out with all the violence that Somalia offers. In Idaho, we don't play dat.
Except, two weeks ago the mask wearers were about 1/3 of the shoppers. This week they were about 97%. 3% didn't mask. 3%. It's seems that history deems it is always 3%.

How about masks for players? Well that would be silly, wouldn't it. Trying to defend against a coronavirus spread in a football game would be like trying to stop the earth from turning. Just cancel the season, NFL, that's all you can do.

The Chicago Bears sent an email to season ticket holders offering the option of a full refund for the 2020 season, while still being able to renew their season tickets in 2021. They haven't said the home games will be played without fans in the stadium but my guess is the stadium will be empty.

I don't think I would want to spend hundreds of dollars for someone to tell me what to do. That is capitalism and consumer sovereignty stood on its head.

If they do, it's for propaganda effect. Crowd shots. Tens of thousands wearing masks. Burn it into the brains of the populace. August, September, October...whoops it's November and mail in voting was a great idea...
