Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is facing pressure from contending groups inside his party as he prepares to interview a shortlist of women for the most important hire of his political career: his running mate. (Snip) Adding to the weight of Biden’s choice, he would be 78 at his January inauguration, making him the oldest U.S. president and setting up his vice president as an early front-runner for the 2024 race should he serve only one term. “There’s a lot of attention on this for a number of reasons, not least of which that Vice President Biden is 77 years

Biden's not facing any pressure. His advisors are. He'll go with whoever they declare (and I suspect they're still mad at him for blurting out he'll pick a woman.)

Give me a big fat break. The reason Biden won the primary out of 27 or so is simply to produce a Biden Mooch ticket. He gets to be a PRESIDENT, his life goal. When he has health issues she gets to be the FIRST BLACK WOMAN PRESIDENT !!! Eat that Hillary.
VOTE Trump in November and send these schemers back where they belong. Take congress too. MAGA

Obama and certain Democrat Super Delegates will select the person who will run as Biden’s Vice-President as Biden needs Obama to actively campaign for him to have any chance of winning the election. Harris is not a traditional African-American, her parents are from Jamaica and India and she grew up for years in Canada. Besides Harris is from California a blue State that most likely be in Biden’s camp from the get-go. When Obama picks, it will be someone who he knows will reinstate all his old failed policies and regulations in the White House and beyond,

Angela Davis is the same age as Biden. Hillary is only 73, a comparative spring chicken. It should be a ''sprung'' chicken, but who would go her bail??

I’m so old I can remember the media fretting about how old Reagan and Trump were even though both were several years younger and it much better shape

I would imagine that the candidates to be interviewed by Joe do understand that they will be subjected to being touched, rubbed, and sniffed during the process. But, these are certainly acceptable indignities one must tollerate when you have such high political ambition.

How can an article considering the importance of Biden's VP choice not mention one time his obvious mental deficiency???

allow me to give you people the mworst case scenario, should the dimocrats steal the election and Biden plus some random black female is his running mate.
At the victory party for Biden/black Woman, Biden forgets his medications, gets Irish drunk, and has a stroke (a real possibility, given the fact that he had 2 brain aneurysms in 1988, and is way overdue for another) and winds up in a woodrow Wilson coma, he still would be sworn in as president onm January 20, 2021, and his cabinet and black woman VP, could vote to notify congress, under the provisions of the 25th amendment, that President biden is not competent to be president, and the black woman VP would become Acting President.
Oho, you say, there is not yet a cabinet on January 20, 2021.
Correct, I say, but Chief Judas John Roberts, and his fellow liberals on the U.S. Supreme Court, unwilling to offend the BlackMarxist Lives Matter, interpret the 25th amendment to apply, anyway. that's what they did in the Obolacare cases.)
therefore, the U.S. would be governed by a black woman activng President, who, if she had the House and Senate, could do more damage in one day than Barack did in 8 years. The sky would be the limit. BLM could be given a cabinet seat. Reparations for a history of slavery would flow from a bottomless fountain of taxpayer money. all statues of white men would be torn down by sundown of day one. affirmative action would be converted to a hard quota system.
Am I overstating the possibilities, should Biden be elected?
Unfortunately, I don't think so. Look around at what is happening in Portland, Seattle, Chicago,New York City. It is Krystallnacht for the Republic.

#10 - Yeah, I caught that from just the intro. The authors act like a full first term is a foregone conclusion and any decision point about keeping him in the saddle won't come until 2024.

Two of the finalists aren't Natural Born Citizens, and this time around you'll see the legal battles fought in the individual states. Pick either of those two women and I guarantee you that Biden's name will not appear on the ballots of all 50 states.

I don't see where any of these potential VPs add anything. Harris was a dud on the campaign trail, and the others have glaring shortcomings.
