What the Media Won't Tell You About the
United States' Coronavirus Case Fatality Rate

Original Article

Without fail, the media seems intent on making America out to be the lone failure in the world in the battle against the coronavirus. Many media outlets have described the United States as “losing the war” against the coronavirus because of the number of cases keeps going up. Axios, for example created a chart show that if all coronavirus patients (confirmed cases) were a city, it would be the third-largest city in the country. The recent trend of the media to focus on the total number of cases seems to be a result of the recent spike cases that failed to produce a similar spike in deaths.

Comments:

The actual fatality rate in the U.S. is .4% and yet the Criminal Media have so distorted this information that my mother is afraid to leave her own home to go to Drs appointments!!

I talked to a medical care professional today. Most in the hospital in our county are hispanics, who apparently don't make any effort to avoid getting it. Not going to hear that on much of your TV shows. And our county is a small minority of hispanics, too. I wonder how many of the people in our hospitals are even here legally?

Well Comrade Cuomo certainly did his job with deaths by killing off old people in nursing homes. He saved Medicaid money to boot because he didn't have to pay for those people anymore. He's a serial killer of old people and 4 other demonrat run states are following his lead.

#3, What happened to the elderly was a plan by the democrats. It not only happened in NY, it also happened in all the states with democrat govenors. They did not follow the guidelines provided by the federal government and did something entirely different. Someone gave these governors the go ahead and now they are being investigated. I believe this was done to push up the fatality rate. An added benefit was what you pointed out, most were on medicaid and they state does not have to pay for their care any longer in the facility. One other factor, for each COVID 19 patient that dies the state receives additional money. Sad but true. Someone needs to go to jail.

I was reading that in VA and NC, that if a person is tested multiple times following a positive test, each subsequent positive is counted as a new case. WTF, man? No wonder Trump Admin wants to take control of the numbers. Too many people want to cook the books to cause a panic. You have to ask what the role of the CDC is because they have done everything they can to screw this up.

What the media also won't tell you is that face masks are not being mandated overseas in most areas. Not because people can't afford them (many can't) and not because supplies are short in rural areas but mainly because they don't work that well! Take responsibility for your own life. Wear a mask if you want, wear one if you're immune system is compromised or you're older ... or if you fit into all 3 of these categories. Avoid those you think might hurt you and ask people without masks to please step back and they will! It's NOT about your health ... but it is all about control. Everyone needs to wear a mask until the government tells you to take it off! Clearly you can't line up to vote and maintain 6 feet as the lines will be a mile long or more. Therefore ... vote by mail!! And if schools are closed ... why there's no place to vote anyway! Wise up, America, before it's too late.

Fatality rate is dependent on who you measure and unless that is equivalent the rate is meaningless to compare one country to another. If you only measure sick people you get a high rate measure everybody you get a low rate for the exact same population. This comes closer to a valid comparison: Deaths per million: US: 389 UK: 658 Italy: 575 Spain: 607 France : 444 Even that will be biased since the US pays you to call every death of a person who tests positive a COVID death regardless of other factors which may have caused death without COVID's help unless of course you are George Floyd. .

Isn't it a reasonable hypothesis, at least, that the spikes in cases in Texas and Florida are due to the George Floyd protests? These happened around the end of May/early June, which would mean cases would begin to show up in around the second week of June. With lags for the manifestation of symptoms, the availability of tests and the reporting of the results, cases would begin to be reported around mid-June, which is exactly when cases started spiking in these states. The spikes have continued because other people have gotten infected from infected protesters and testing has increased. The increases (not really spikes) in the daily death indicate this, too, because they indicate infections occurred 3-4 weeks ago, or mid-June.

All the media will tell me is that the Democrats are infallible, that socialism is paradise, that I should not run my own life, and that I am racist, deploreable, undesirable, and should really leave the country, or better, die, all while calling me cracker, whitey, and other vulgarities. This is the media's message 365/24/7, including made up virus statistics by people that never had a math, or medical course, and apparently not a journalism course, as they seem ignorant of the basics of what, when, how, where, who, and any shred of objectivity.

Right now the COVID statistics are being manipulated politically and will be more so up to the November election. After the election, depending who wins, if it is Trump that political manipulation will continue, or if it is Biden there will all of a sudden be an immediate miracle and everything will be said to be back to normal. Remember it will be to the great benefit of both the leftist and liberal Democrats and the Communist Government of China to ensure that Biden is elected. As Biden maintains incredibly that China is not a viable economic competitor or a threat to the USA. So if Biden is elected, look for China, with a wink and a nod from the DC UniParty in return for covert kickbacks and future campaign contributions, to start buying up bankrupt or economically weakened US corporations, and for Biden’s son Hunter to either be appointed US Ambassador to Communist China, or more likely to become heavily involved in Chinese business activities towards the USA. In other words so that the corrupt DC UniParty can get back in business.

The Trump-hating "shut everything down until after the election" crowd will never admit to being wrong or politically motivated. That of course includes the "news" industry, which is a major and enthusiastic player in keeping the panic going as long as possible.

I have suspected something like this when I saw that the deaths did not mount as did the cases. When they fudge one stat, the entire set up loses credibility. Once again, the "Media" becomes the culprit by trying to use the virus situation as a weapon against President Trump. I am not even a strong Trump supporter, supporting him because he seems to be the only viable choice against this anti-american scam project that the democrats are foisting upon us. I am less worried about what a democrat victory in November will bring because of my age (75), my health (I'm diabetic and I have coronary artery disease along with Barretts syndrome of the esophagus), I don't figure I'll be around for the final destruction of our nation if those traitorous scum take over the country, but I do fear for the fate of my grandchildren and children. What a sorry end this would be for a country that started out so strong and eventually bred a generation so self centered that they cannot cherish what they have been given.

To be honest, I think I've had it for the last week and a half. It feels like a mild cold. Im 51 and fluffy, no comorbidities. I will not be getting tested. No need. I've informed my social circle (we quit social distancing around Easter with like-minded friends). 68 year old friend just got over it. 2 weeks of a 'mild-flu' like ride. 2nd friend caught it early April (6 comorbids) and spent 2 months in a coma, now out and about. None of her kids, husband, or close friends ever tested positive. 3rd I know who's tested positive is a physician in Peru, never a symptom, no family or friends caught it off him. I have a feeling we're on the cultural recovery side of the curve. I woke up feeling hopeful this will be drawing to an end soon. The teacher unions getting involved with demands that have nothing to do with health will be straw the breaks the covid camel's back for ordinary parents of school aged children. They've annoyed the wrong demographic now.

Many Chinavirus deaths have never tested positive, they are simply pneumonia-flu like deaths. Chinavirus increases Medicare payments and hospital is free for all patients. Positive patients are tested multiple times, first to confirm the positive diagnosis, then until two negative reads are obtained; each test is counted as an individual case. The NIH and CDC are American failures.

The number of "positives" is also increasing because the CDC requires the positive antibody tests to be lumped in with the positive active virus test results. That means if you had it in March and got over it without knowing you had it, and get an antibody test today, you will test positive for the antibodies, and your results will be reported as a "new coronavirus case." The antibody tests are driving the spike in cases, but to what degree no one can tell. CDC has the numbers so bolixed up we will probably never be able to sort them out. Where did these people take their statistics courses? Oh. Right. The didn't. They are doctors, not math majors. They are WORSE than useless. Google it. You'll find it.

I'm 73. There's a good chance I caught Wuhan virus in February -- bad cold, mild fever for 4 days. After 11 days the symptoms got worse, so I went to an urgent care facility connected with my doctor's medical group. Of course I didn't see a doctor. I saw a PA, who has a bachelor's degree and works from a checklist. She decided I probably had a sinus infection and prescribed a ten-day course of a cephalosporin antibiotic, since I'm allergic to penicillin. After 8 or 9 more days the symptoms went away. (Note that that's an awfully long time for an antibiotic to deal with mild sinus infection symptoms.) Te antibiotic gave me a week and a half of diarrhea, as some antibiotics tend to do, but it didn't do much else. Based on the above, I suspect I had a mild case of Wuhan virus. I could go to the VA and get a free test, but if I show up with antibodies some busybody will order me to isolate myself for two weeks. To heck with that. If my wife didn't get sick back in February or March -- and she didn't -- I'm not a danger to society at large.

The numbers really spiked when the CDC expanded the criteria for who should get tested. They are also NOT reporting recovered very well either. If the overwhelming number of people get it for a 7-10 day period, then anyone who was tested positive prior to June 1st is likely recovered, but they are still reporting far too many still. Of course, anything positive will be taken by the media and the Dems as a "win" for Trump, though. And, how about all of those clinics in Florida who reported 100% positive tests, or that guy who died in a recent motorcycle crash was counted as positive death from COVID.

One of the most despicable things about the Biden administration is that, even as it doubles and triples down on the COVID restrictions it wants for Americans, it’s utterly unconcerned about the diseases flooding across the border along with the illegal aliens Biden is unconstitutionally welcoming in. The president and CEO of Greyhound Lines, though, is demanding that, at the very least, its workers and other passengers get protected from the COVID so many illegal aliens bring with them. From the start of his campaign, Biden weaponized the Wuhan virus against Trump. Informed and intelligent people realized very quickly that Trump was moving with extraordinary rapidity

Biden has issued Executive Orders that ban enforcing immigration law while simultaneously inviting in a new wave of illegal immigrants. These EOs also suspend deporting illegal immigrants, even those awaiting trial for felonies and other serious crimes, and signal that all new arrivals will be eligible for social benefits such as healthcare. Cesar Chavez’s struggle in the 1970s and ‘80s can help explain the impact this will have on labor markets in general and working-class Americans in particular. Chavez understood that illegal immigration diminishes workers’ earning power.

I keep calling him general, but my, my—the guy who runs that outfit over there,” Biden said.(Snip) Earlier at the event, Biden mentioned the Defense Department leader by his name, “Secretary Austin,” while appearing to read from a teleprompter.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
