PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania — Vice President Mike Pence told Breitbart News exclusively that he and President Donald Trump consider the U.S. Supreme Court one of, if not the most, important issue in the upcoming presidential election, saying there may be nothing that rises to the level of appointing justices to the highest court in the land. Asked during an exclusive interview on Thursday that aired on Breitbart News Saturday on SiriusXM 125 the Patriot Channel about the possibility of several vacancies in the next presidential term, Pence said he and Trump know how important this is to many Americans.

I don't know of several vacancies appearing, but the one I do see certainly needs to be replaced , and not by another Roberts.

I can think of several people on that court that need replacing right now.

21 of the last 28 justices were nominated by Republican presidents and look at what we have. This cry for the necessity of the GOP to be elected in order to ensure "conservative" judges are placed on the court pops up every four years but, based on results, is totally bogus. The left will not nominate or vote to confirm any judge who isn't in line with leftist aims. The so-called right spouts off about the independence of the judiciary and confirms people like O'conner, Breyer and Roberts.

#3, I hope we do not start adding Gorsuch to your list.

Face it: Past Republican Presidents, who put these disappointing justices on the court, were RINOs. They were go-along-to-get-along presidents. A kinder, gentler type of President, who turned the other cheek when the democrats cheated, lied, and obstructed.
After President Ronald Reagan, can anyone name a President who took the job seriously? One who was interested in building and improving American lives? Not one who just wanted the perks and parties. Not one who just wanted the prestige and royal treatment? Not one who wanted to fundamentally change America, in a negative way?
We have a serious President now, by the name of Donald Trump. We must keep him. Vote!

Gorsuch, like Roberts, strikes me as one who can be a little too clever by half.

Can’t we photoshop Roberts and Gorsuch on the Epstein photos? Toss in AG Barr as well. Or, offer this trio with very limited constitutional principles ambassador assignments to places like Luxembourg and Monaco, where they can do little to hurt our country other than with their expense accounts. Or, convince them to run for the Senate. Anything to get them away from positions they’re in.
Real problem will be in replacing them with people who didn’t party with Christine Crazy Ford 38 to 40 years ago in an unknown house in an unknown town without witnesses.

Sure would be great to get a conservative female onboard.

President Trump has been in office long enough to know exactly who is best choice. Hopefully someone like Mark Levin.
For God’s sake don’t take Mitch McConnells advice. He is proving himself to be a little shady.

How about rolling back the power of the Supreme Court, like requiring super-majority rulings from the bench before they can change case law? Or adjusting the impact of their decisions? Or better yet, why not force all Bills passed by the Congress be vetted before the Supreme Court prior to arriving on POTUS' desk?

One suggestion, even with Trump making the selection: require that every single candidate take a full-blown lie detector test. No offense, Justice Gorsuch, but you know, that "circle of trust" thingy...
Really tired of almost every "guaranteed strict constitutionalist" going full John Roberts on us. Never go full John Roberts...spit!

Yes, true, but can we trust the folks that have been recommended to be put on the court?
Who is vetting these people, really? Who is slipping in the Souters and Roberts types into the mix?

The destiny of the SCOTUS should be the dumpster of history.
Un-elected, un-accountable black-robed tyrants, the federal judiciary will always inevitably drift into totalitarian socialism & fascism.
At this point the federal judiciary is absolutely corrupt. The #1 Enemy of Freedom vs. the American people.
Bring back public hangings.
