GOP Sen. Mitt Romney (Utah) on Saturday sharply condemned President Trump's commutation for longtime ally and political confidant Roger Stone, labeling it "historic corruption." "Unprecedented, historic corruption: an American president commutes the sentence of a person convicted by a jury of lying to shield that very president," Romney tweeted Saturday morning. Romney, a vocal Trump critic, was one of the first Republican lawmakers to weigh in on the president's commutation for Stone, who was sentenced to more than three years in prison before the commutation.

Rummey isn't even a RINO, he is a partisan dem. The nature of Stone's "transgressions" were not much worse than Flynn's nothingburger and he was persecuted by the same untrustworthy, jackbooted, criminal bureaucrats. 3 years was an insane sentence so Trump commuted it.

Deep State Romney is pathetic. He has no core principles or values and that is why he is willing to sell out anyone for the right price. As bad as McCain was in his day, he at least knew when the time was right to back his president on something. Romney has absolutely NO clue about that. Romney's true colors (Can I say that?) came through back in 2012 when his flying monkeys invaded this salon and promptly aimed some pretty vicious attacks at those of us who expressed doubts about the Mittster. Of course, most of us voted for him anyway, but like many others, I wasn't happy about it. We actually dodged a bullet when he lost, an event that eventually ushered in the current administration. Now, DT is wielding an axe at the uniparty, and because Mitt is a prominent member, he is very unhappy about that. Chuckle.

President Trump bowed to political and industry pressure by abandoning reform of the controversial Jones Act shipping rule, according to officials who were present at the time and dislike the decision. The dispute over the century-old law became a flashpoint in the bigger battle within the administration between the free trade contingent and those who want to protect domestic industries from foreign competition. The law requires goods shipped between American ports to be transported on ships built, owned, and operated by American citizens. To those in favor of reform, it's an antiquated barrier to the free flow of goods among countries that makes things more expensive

Sen. Rubio is making multiple efforts to block any drilling off the state’s Gulf Coast, home to multiple military installments that use the waters for training. One amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) would extend the current moratorium on offshore drilling in the area through 2032.

Ordinary people who aren’t being paid to play baseball cannot endure it except by playing it co-ed with beer, which makes practically anything endurable including watching paint dry. About 90% of baseball consists of the players standing around while touching their privates whenever the TV camera is pointed at them or sitting around the dugout pretending to watch the other team while touching their privates.
