GOP Sen. Mitt Romney (Utah) on Saturday sharply condemned President Trump's commutation for longtime ally and political confidant Roger Stone, labeling it "historic corruption."
"Unprecedented, historic corruption: an American president commutes the sentence of a person convicted by a jury of lying to shield that very president," Romney tweeted Saturday morning.
Romney, a vocal Trump critic, was one of the first Republican lawmakers to weigh in on the president's commutation for Stone, who was sentenced to more than three years in prison before the commutation.

Speaking of corruption, Pierre Delecto, what was your criminal role in the Bain Capital coverup?

Romney is such a disappointing back sticker on so many levels. A great state like Utah (and this country) doesn’t deserve this albatross around their neck. Fooled a lot of us a few years ago.

Corruption is the Mark Rich pardon by clinton. Corruption is also changing your On-line name to Pierre Delecto to mask your true identity.

Nobody takes him seriously. Pierre Delecto showed us he is a slimy weathervane, devoid of principles, missing his backbone. He would have been better than Obama, but not by much. CoC Republicans hate us about as much as the Dems do.

Rummey isn't even a RINO, he is a partisan dem. The nature of Stone's "transgressions" were not much worse than Flynn's nothingburger and he was persecuted by the same untrustworthy, jackbooted, criminal bureaucrats. 3 years was an insane sentence so Trump commuted it.

Too bad for Pierre - - that there aren't any more romneybots on this forum to defend him.
2012 will always be remembered - - down through the ages - - as the Year Of The Romneybots. The good old days!

Deep State Romney is pathetic. He has no core principles or values and that is why he is willing to sell out anyone for the right price. As bad as McCain was in his day, he at least knew when the time was right to back his president on something. Romney has absolutely NO clue about that. He is owned by Kristol and company is all I can think of.

Just watch. Like Schiff and Pelosi and all the others he'll be hailed a hero by his constituents and be voted back into office. The only way to get people like Romney out of office is term limits.

Romney's true colors (Can I say that?) came through back in 2012 when his flying monkeys invaded this salon and promptly aimed some pretty vicious attacks at those of us who expressed doubts about the Mittster. Of course, most of us voted for him anyway, but like many others, I wasn't happy about it. We actually dodged a bullet when he lost, an event that eventually ushered in the current administration. Now, DT is wielding an axe at the uniparty, and because Mitt is a prominent member, he is very unhappy about that. Chuckle.

Mitt is gearing up for a possible/likely November run as a Unity candidate. The choice between PDT and Smokin’ Joe is anathema to those who aren’t fans of either. Don’t underestimate their numbers. If Mitt jumps in it will be well organized and financed. The only question is whether PDT’s numbers can be pushed low enough.

Oh shut up, Pierre. Look in the mirror when you say that.
Bet 'Pierre' still has Presidential aspirations. He will never receive the Republican nomination, and he will never be President. Doesn't matter how much money his backers throw at him. They can give him a billion dollars. It won't help. He is done. His negatives are too high, and they keep getting higher.
Pierre is nothing but a backstabbing Republican. People don't like him. If there is any justice in the world, maybe Utah will send him packing. He deserves it.

Romney is a sore loser and he is taking it out on Trump. His low energy and lack of fighting spirit let Obama win and take down this country. I don't give to the RNC because of guys like him running on the ticket .My money goes directly to my candidates.
