Biden says he would restore pre-Hobby
Lobby contraceptive mandate
in wake of Little Sisters ruling

Original Article

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden was one of many on the left to express dismay at the Supreme Court's Wednesday ruling that the Trump administration acted within its authority when it expanded exemptions to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirement that employers provide insurance that includes contraception, and promised he would return to an Obama-era policy should he be elected.(Snip)"If I am elected, I will restore the Obama-Biden policy that existed before the Hobby Lobby ruling: providing an exemption for houses of worship and an accommodation for nonprofit organizations with religious missions."

Comments:

Yet again, the same-old, same-old inane mantra that a woman’s life is in danger if she is not provided with contraceptives which is, for the most part, an absolute brazen lie; reality, the life threat for unborn babies is far greater. According to the CDC, sadly, about 700 women die each year in the USA as a result of pregnancy or delivery complications. Conversely, just under one million babies are aborted each year in the USA; “an estimated 61 million unborn babies have been killed in abortions in the USA since Roe v. Wade in 1973.” Free/best contraceptive, the word “no.”

Saw the head of Little Sisters of the Poor on Fox & Friends this morning. She said the fines from the Affordable Care Act would have been $60 million/year- which would have put them out of the business of caring for the elderly in need. Is this what Biden and Democrats really want? If it is - we know where St. Peter will be sending them in the down elevator.

The goal is to bring religion to it's knees, and force them to accept things beyond their religious beliefs. Then, they are beholden to government edict as the main source of authority. What really needs to happen in this election is to give up the news on how abortion would affect women in each state. Start with NY, which had abortion legal prior to Roe, and would still, which means no woman should be concerned if they are in NY, or want to go to NY for one. Then, move on to CA, which would also enable abortion on-demand should Roe be overturned. I would suspect nearly all states would have some form of legalized abortion, which means many women are being unnecessarily frightened over "back alley" abortions returning, or it suddenly being outlawed. I would think many people vote Democrat simply to ensure it's still legal, for whomever may need one, and letting it be a decision between that woman and her God. Just imagine if 5% of them didn't feel obligated to vote Democrat and switched sides. How do you think that might change things? I think a lot.

Why would Biden want to mandate that a group of Nuns be forced to purchase contraceptive insurance coverage? I still disapprove of being forced to pay for some of the insurance coverage that I have to pay for (contraceptives) as I will never use them (older single male who has had a vasectomy). I also fail to see why I need to for maternity coverage and a bunch of other stuff. Once size fits all insurance coverage forced upon everyone just doesn't seem right to me. Women are not being denied contraceptives by this ruling. They are being denied their employer or insurance company having to pay for it. Contraceptives are often free at the health department. Activists need to stop acting so put out every time things don't go their way. They should put the time and effort they use to whine and cry about how persecuted they are into educating women about where to get contraceptives for free or to work with manufacturers and lawmakers to make them more available for those too lazy to make the effort to get them themselves.

Joe Biden’s radical proposal for the Democrat Party platform for 2020 seeks to put an end to America’s suburban communities by forcing low-income housing into every neighborhood and flooding every community with immigrants, legal or otherwise. The proposal, known as the Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force Recommendations, would provide instant amnesty and a pathway to U.S. citizenship for the 22 million illegal aliens now living in the nation. Astoundingly, it would also give legal status to all the world’s refugees regardless of the legitimacy of their claim to the status.

‘Public” schools have been a catastrophe for the United States. This certainly isn’t an original assertion, but as we watch thousands of authoritarian brats tearing down the legacies of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, it’s more apparent than ever. State-run schools have undercut two fundamental conditions of a healthy tolerant society. First, they’ve created millions of civic illiterates who are disconnected from long-held communal values and national identity. Second, they’ve exacerbated the very inequalities that trigger the tearing apart of fissures.(Snip)Nevertheless, Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden says he’ll create not a child-oriented Department of Education but a “teacher-oriented Department of Education.”
