Amy Cooper, now better known to the world as the “Central Park Karen,” appears to have even more trouble coming her way. After becoming a national symbol of… something, Cooper was widely derided for her reaction to a Black man who was reportedly in the park doing some bird watching after he asked her to put her dog on its leash. She went viral for all the wrong reasons and was promptly targeted for cancellation by the left. But her problems aren’t over yet. Since one part of her response involved calling 911 on the birdwatcher, the Manhattan DA is filing charges against her for abusing the emergency reporting system

It's almost like, she's already beaten to the ground, and someone comes along and kicks her in the face to finish her off. Liberals are morally bankrupt and many times, they eat their own to thrive.

#1 did you see the video? She's a horrible human being who wasted 911 time that is needed for people with real emergencies.
I have zero sympathy for her. I don't care what her politics are (or the birdwatcher's). She should eat a memorable fine, at least.
This isn't a political. It's criminal. Her ethical failure was astounding. Please go see the video but not if you've just eaten.

All that systemic racism going on it is surprising the cops didn't arrest the black guy or he didn't flee because of his fear of that. Two idiots as far as I'm concerned and not a matter for a reporting system.

And then there’s peter struck-stroke-strunk (sp?) trying to topple a presidency and no charges. I bet this DA could find something to charge lil’ peter with.
I will pass on watching the video and apprecaite the comments here, and am hoping this is not prosecutorial evil-ness run rampant. I read article headlines about people calling 911 to complain about a takeout order not having ketchup and I wonder if they too are prosecuted, or if it’s just a waste of prosecutorial time (or if those headlines are just click bait).
I have some sympathy for people who just stupidly stumble into celebrity. The workplace has been thoroughly chikified- she was a presumably pretty big time investment banker in the sense of advanced in her firm and successful- and so had probably never experienced male push back and so was startled by the bird watcher’s moderate aggressiveness- something she had never experienced before, something that Oberlin (or wherever) said was wrong and not to be tolerated, and so she didn’t know how to behave in such a never before experienced situation. You can’t just walk away when a man challenges “Woman hear me roar!”!
But a bit scary that such a minor incident could destroy your life. The mob lurks within every cell phone.

It's always risky to speak to a stranger in a fraught situation. I've stopped doing it if no one is in danger. I was screamed at in a movie theater when I quietly asked a woman to stop constantly discussing the movie in a normal voice with her seven year old. She ended up following me to my car when the film was over.
Another time, in a post office parking lot, I tried to speak up for an elderly woman who was being berated by a young woman who believed the old lady had gotten her parking space. The furious hollerer, who had a Christian Fish sticker on her bumper, turned on me and told me which end is up, showering spittle all over me and the elderly lady.
I don't do it any more.

This lady is being punished fo being scared! She lost her job has been ridiculed and defamed. She was accosted by a man she did not know on a path in the park. Yes!...her dog should have leashed. In the video there appeared to be no one else around. This is NYC people arrested for punishable crime are now released until trial. A good reason to be wary of strangers. She over reacted....that is not a crime. She called the Police and described the man including his race? How else can you describe someone on the telephone?
....I also feel sorry for women named Karen! A pretty traditional name is now a slur!!!

It would have been better for "Central Park Karen" to have looted, committed arson, murdered someone, etc. in New York City . . then she would face no consequences and be free as a bird!

Not to mention, Animal Cruelty. I felt like slapping her as I watched her choking that dog by twisting it's collar.

Saw the video a month ago. Her crime or bankrupt ethical issues does not justify, being fired from the job, prosecuted for reporting a potential crime, and globally labeled as an evil lowlife woman. Even a murderer gets a break but not this woman. There are worse human beings than her, and the guy who threatened her is in the same lowlife category as her. He admitted that a threat was made against her. Btw, there's this black dude who called the ambulance over 2000 times in one year for transportation. And because he was black, nothing happened and no prosecution. Yes indeed. The media really sensationalized this tiny incident at the park only because she's WHITE. There are far worse crimes committed by blacks against the white and we don't hear about it. Those who feel her life should be completely destroyed, ....are unknowingly a part of BLM, and ANTIFA movements. They are the CANCERs.
