Former Trump campaign and administration officials are reportedly speculating that outspoken Fox News host Tucker Carlson could make a successful run for president in 2024. Politico reports that conservative circles have been seriously mulling over the idea that Carlson, 51, could parlay his successful television career into a political victory - much like President Trump. Several conservative strategists, commentators and others reportedly believe Carlson, whose outspoken brand of journalism has amassed a massive media following, would be an obvious frontrunner in the Republican primary.

Tucker is better than O'Reilly. O'Reilly's stubborness kept him from seeing the truth sometimes.

Tucker's doing a great job and is fearlessly speaking the truth like nobody else on cable. But let's not go overboard. President? No. Don't be silly.

Mr Carlson has already said he was not a political animal. He is quite good at vocalizing issues. Sadly, that is only the first part of problem solving. President Trump, as an International Businessman has the skills to go beyond identifying the problem to managing the resources needed and marshaling them to action. Mr Carlson, no disrespect intended, has producers to handle resources and even then they are minuscule. There is little or no risk if it is done wrong.
I don't know about you, but what I recall about most Presidents was the learning curve required. I am still shocked at how short a curve PDT experienced. Apparently he translated his business experience into Government service and it pretty much fit. With the *major* exception of trustworthy employees.
As much as I like Mr Carlson, I don't think he is a demonstrated candidate.
(From a favorite song) His voice lacks the range and tonal color to make it consistently interesting. Full time consideration of another endeavor might be in order.(Thanks Harry, miss you)

First, this is unnamed former officials as reported by the Daily Mail and Politico. Large grains of salt required.
Second, if there is even a small bit of truth here, and nothing against Tucker, he is very good at what he does, but the fact that this might even be considered only demonstrates the weakness of GOP leadership. There is no one in the political class, not even VP Pence, who can come close to filling President Trump's shoes, and the vast majority of so-called GOP "leaders" are utterly worthless to the people they are supposed to represent.

Chatsworth Osborn, 111 for president?
He'd have to take a hell of a pay cut.
Besides he has a pretty good TV show that I enjoy watching M-F.
Let's leave it at that.

#6 I thank you very VERY much for remembering Harry! Unfortunately, I think I know where he would be in this current morass. But that does not make me miss him. It's been FORTY years now! (sniff, sniff)

If Trump could, so can Tucker. If he wants it, then he should go for it.

Let’s win 2020 then we can let our imagination run wild.
To me this sentiment is another way of saying we like the way Tucker thinks because he sees the week kneed Gop as part of the problem.

Run wild? This is off the wall, knowing so little about her, but
Governor Kristi Noem made an impression this evening. How about bouncing her name a few times? Granted, not as well known as Tucker, but she has experience in management and in running for office. Just a thought. There might be potential there.
Tucker, please stay in that chair. You do your job well. Should you leave, FNC would have less than nothing to fill your shoes.

Our immediate focus and priority is to re-elect President Trump. We must overcome the expected massive voter fraud.
IMHO Gov. Ron DeSantis is the best choice to follow President Trump.

No, we do not need another talking head playing politics, regardless of how much we like what he says. Just another professional talker, like most of our current crop of politicians. Find another like President Trump who has shown he can actually accomplish something before running for President. I say this and I like Tucker a lot.

Tucker Carlson is a national treasure and a phenomenom of nature. He is incredibly brave, analytical, smart, articulate, quick-witted, humorous, and fair-minded. His thought-provoking daily program reaches millions of people. It would be a loss to public discourse if he went into politics and was reduced to Tweeting his message (if Twitter allowed him). On the other hand, he would make a marvelous President. I am torn.

Tucker is the ONLY Fox offering that I make a point to watch anymore. Fox used to be on constantly when I was home, but I now favor Newsmax TV.

As good as Tucker is at reporting, analyzing and commenting on what the POTUS says and does, those are not qualifications for DOING what the POTUS does.
