A woman has been filmed holding a black woman and her 15-year-old daughter at gunpoint in a horrifying confrontation leaving them fearing for their life. A shocking video, taken by the victim, shows a white woman pointing a pistol at Takelia Hill and her 15-year-old daughter Makayla at a parking lot outside an Oakland County Chipotle restaurant in Orion Township, Michigan. The woman was subsequently arrested. According to Hill, her daughter was allegedly bumped into by the woman as they were entering the fast food restaurant at around 8pm.

It is slowly beginnnig. At some point, these altercations with intolerance of some perceived insult will escalate. We lie in a world where some folks are tired of being called vile names and having to gravel to a protected class. Are we reaching a tipping point?

Yes, the woman should have been polite and said excuse me, but the girl shouldn't have been bratty and said "excuse you." Sounds like the mom and daughter wanted to start something to get their 15 mins of fame for getting their feelings hurt.

Good trigger discipline by the woman. When the police are de-funded and/or afraid of bad publicity, this is what you get.

I really believe we are seeing the failure of women's biological programming to deal with "the stranger" in the face of absentee rule of law. Men evolved to deal with The Stranger. We worked out those non-government techniques and understandings (and the implicit threat of physical violence as a possible outcome) on the playground. Women evolved for household and familial interaction and don't have the schoolyard socialization that pre-millennial males have. What you are witnessing in news reports is highly aggressive women who don't manifest fear of the beatdown they have coming for violating social norms (see the other UK Daily Mail article of the woman confronting the airport cop), and genuinely fearful women who are confounded by the appropriate use of overwhelming force.

All should have ended when they got into their van to leave. But no, the black woman deliberately goes behind the van to cause a scene. Agreed she should not have pulled the gun, but, she was about to get jumped by the black crew. No doubt it. Wake up.

Yeah, and what name do they have for Black women who start fights in restaurants because their fries aren't free or the ice cream machine is broken. We have all seen these video's where they climb over the counter and attack employees but it's only White women who get tagged with a name of derision.

#9 If she had a reasonable concern for her safety, like you said, then why would she have been wrong to pull the weapon and deescalate the dangerous situation? Does a white woman need to allow her head to pounded into the concrete like Zimmerman and near death before reaching for a weapon? I'm confused... seems all sorts of contradictory to me.

I almost never bother with DM, their site won't let me suppress their endless layers of annoying, bandwidth wipeout, popups and videos, which slows it so badly and are so totally annoying, covering the content, that I usually just don't bother. I wanted to hear more about this one. The woman was trained and safe - good stance, good firing grip, finger OFF of the trigger, trigger finger pointed straight alongside the slide, gun held at the high ready position, as any well trained person would be doing. With her children in the car, with agressive, threatening people beating on the vehicle and being blocked from leaving by multiple screeching, aggressive, threatening black women, doesn't seem too out of line to me. And all she ordered is "get back". And as soon as she could disengage, she did. It is best to avoid presenting a weapon if you can, but sometimes it is necessary. And this may have prevented them from dragging her out of the car and beating her and her children - impossible to know what mayhem she averted. I doubt that they will be able to get a grand jury to indict her on anything. And I am pretty sure that she would be acquitted, and that the prosecutor knows that this won't be a case he can win, and even bringing it, in a lot of places, would be hazardous to a prosecutor's re-election.

The ‘Karen(s)’ in the incident are the ironically the two black females. They’re the ones who called the cops after they escalated the situation over a perceived and petty sleight. Unlikely that a jury would convict the white female (if it ever came to that). She had good trigger discipline and defended herself and her child after all other options seemed exhausted at that point.

Don't trust the source. But, yeah, it could be starting. Also, the old 'bump and blame' is a common tactic for people with a chip on their shoulders, and either want to start a fight or demand, 'compensation'. We don't know anything except a lone white woman was afraid for her safety in a state where the Democrat leaders have told the police to stand down. She didn't shoot them, though, so she was showing restraint. A true hater would have killed them and claimed she was attacked.

Oh, good grief. If you bump into someone, you say, "Excuse me," or "Sorry," or whatever. If someone doesn't have the good manners to acknowledge that they bumped into someone, the appropriate response is an eyeroll or something. Demanding an apology for such a trivial incident is ridiculous. It's clear at that point that the Black women were looking to escalate the situation by yelling and banging on the back window. Then the white woman REALLY overreacted by pulling a gun. This is all nonsense. They all need to grow up.

With all the shocking street scenes of riots with burnings, beatings of white people and much more mayhem with no consequences I don't blame the white woman to show a gun to get the real racist to back off. The next move if the gun wasn't used might have been a physical altercation or beating on the white woman. My wife would done the same in that situation. Hill didn't act like someone who was going to let the incident end if black violence keeps up there will be people protecting themselves more for fear of their life.

One of the captions shows the massive, total ignorance of the DM writing staff about all things related to firearms. The woman in the photo CLEARLY does NOT have her trigger finger inside the trigger guard, NOT on the trigger, yet the caption says "with her hand on the trigger". Nobody's hand is ever on a trigger. And her finger is NOT on the trigger. So, the caption is doubly wrong. Par for the DM course.

For some any supposed slight or unintentional bruise to their fragile insecure ego or fictitious sign of disrespect must be escalated to the point of violence. When you have a perpetual chip on your shoulder, you look for opportunities to have is knocked off, even to the point of manufacturing them. It's the only way to sustain the victim mythology.

Work began Thursday morning on the massive Black Lives Matter mural in front of Trump Tower. A stretch of Fifth Avenue between East 56th and 57th streets was closed to traffic as city Department of Transportation workers began measuring and stenciling the giant yellow letters onto the pavement with spray paint and tape just after 8 a.m.The Mayor Bill de Blasio-sanctioned mural will then be painted by local artists starting at 11 a.m., with Hizzoner expected to show up later.“I’m extremely proud to be here today. Black lives matter,” said retired Manhattan resident Ellen Myers, 70, who was among a small group of bystanders watching the mural go up.
