A gratifying victory. The subtext of the ruling, wrote Peter Spiliakos, is that “the NY state and city governments were treating left-wing protest as a de facto state religion and were discriminating against other faiths.” Gotta treat all creeds equally under the law. No special privileges for devotional wokery. There were two separate issues here united by a common question: Did New York apply a double standard to religious gatherings in setting social distancing rules?

This is beyond 'about time.' If goobernment allows chuches to be filled shouler to shoulder (without mask) to worship a dead felon, goobernment can allow Christians and Jews to worship their God.

I don't care if people are registering on the Geiger counter. Government shouldn't be involved in limiting anything.

Here we go with lockdowns again. It's not going to happen. We are fed up and not going to take it. If you want to live in a cave until after the elections, do so. It's not for me. I also suggest putting Fauci in a box and mailing him to China where he belongs.

I firmly believe there are two books that are greatly under used. The Bible and the dictionary.

The right ruling, Judge Spiliakos. But, it should not have take this long. For that matter, Coma and DeBlasie had no authority to ban church assembly in the first place. It is also interesting how the dims and msm got their panties in a wad over the President's resumption of his rallies and the closeness of those attending to each other, but, these same two-face dims and msm were quite fine with the rioters and protesters being so close together.

Why, except in extreme emergencies, does the governor have the right to limit anything?

If you believe that cumo abd brazio only prevent religious gatherings to prevent deaths as they strongly assert, then they must want the protestors to die. The Science of the virus doesn’t depend on poltical motivations of the physical contact. C&b are fortunate that the protestors live in a Reason-free Zone, even if the protestors imagine it’s an autonomous one.

Good call. Constitutionally, some pigs may not be more equal than others.

Now on to stopping search and seizure without a warrant. (Out-of-state license plates.)

We New Yorkers thank the Thomas More Society and the citizens that brought suit against Dumb and Dumber. I guess it was too much to ask the Catholic bishops to bring this suit on day one of Benito Cuomo's dictatorship. Instead, Cardinal Dolan, ever present on TV and radio, and bishops in other dioceses, such as Bishop Barre in Rockville Centre, have been under their desks cowering at the "might" of Benito.
It's good to know who you can count on in a crisis and it aint' the NY Catholic Church. These so-called religious leaders are pathetic.

Sullivan gets chastised for his illegal and biased actions in the Flynn case. Cuomo and DeBlasio get slapped for their blatant bias and their clear violation of the citizens’ First Amendment rights. So where now is the compliance with these two rulings??? Why is it that I would be immediately remanded to jail were I told by a court I was in violation of a law, etc?

So here's the backstory. The communists always attempted to undermine institutions (especially the church and the family) because they represented alternative sources of power to what the communists wanted to be the all-powerful state. Thus they attempted to undermine or take over any institution (family, church, schools, universities, the press, etc.) which might oppose them. Academically, the transition from the Bolshies to the modern university came via the so-called Frankfurt School (Marcuse, Adorno, et al.) who advocated a march through the institutions (a bloody march). Modern leftist academics treat the Frankfurt School as substitute evangelists. When you actually read about them you find they were generally intellectual posers who sought the financial support of capitalists to enable their ivory tower lifestyle in which they spent their time criticizing capitalism. Bottom line: it is all just as the nuns taught us many moons ago--leftists want to undermine all established institutions so that they can control you and your children and your children's children. Their principal opponents are the family and the church. Cuomo and deBlasio's attempts to hurt the churches is all of a piece with standard, M1A1 communist strategy. So too is the so-called 'secularism' of the left.

I would love to see those “flash mobs” of hundreds of singers singing praises to God begin to appear all over this country. It was a beautiful and joyous occurrence when it happened before, and what a contrast it would be to all of the godless hatred on display across our nation now.
May God have mercy on us that good prevail over this evil

Of course these two bozos, Cuomo and deBlasio, applied unfair limitations on Christian religions as far as gatherings go. What they SHOULD be facing is charges for what they did to the elderly of New York. If what they did involving the Nursing Home manipulations which killed hundreds is not addressed when the country gets back to somewhere near normal, then you may accurately conclude that there is NO JUSTICE in that state.

Condolences and prayers for all who loved this young woman, #16. I couldn’t agree with you more. Most people do have enough common sense to know how to protect themselves without government mandates that disrupt lives and potentially cause more harm than good. God bless her loved ones.
