Congresswoman Karen Bass, chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, is undergoing vetting as a candidate to be Joe Biden's running mate, CBS News has learned according to sources familiar with the process. The five-term congresswoman represents Los Angeles and endorsed Biden for president in mid-March.It is not immediately clear where Bass stands in the vetting process but her name has been floated for consideration by powerful Democrats like House Majority Whip James Clyburn.
Potentially the first affirmative action VP, with the possibility of becoming President. What an idiotic way to do business.

The main considerations for choosing her? She's a) Black, and b) a woman. Everything else is secondary. And when Biden is crushed in November, hoe long until he and she both blame RACISM? Yep, immediately.

I can't help but view any VP candidate as the next president. Let's face it, grandpa creepy finger won't make it past next Easter. You can only drool in your oatmeal and wet yourself for so long before even CNN notices.

WHO?
Yeah, she'll bring a lot of name recognition with her. /s off
Trying to find someone which won't have their political future harmed by being on the losing team. In her case, it is because she has no noticeable political future.

#1, you really think the Kenyan Lightbringer would have gotten anywhere near the WH without affirmative action?

Karen Bass? Ew. As president? Never. And that’s what this is about. Dragging a black woman onto the ballot with a “woohoo! Vote for a black woman who’ll be presdent!"

If I said the VP can't be a Black woman I would be a racist. If I said the VP must be a Black woman I would be a racist. Don't tell the Dems I said this. They'd say I was a racist.

Who says you have to campaign to become president? Even ramrod took a couple of weeks off in sept 2016 or so didn’t she? Why not just take off for the whole campaign and get the media to swear that you are campaigning? It’s much easier. And then let’s relieve the people of the burden of voting. Just let the cognoscenti discuss among themselves and decide. This woman, like bi.den, will be a simulacra. Except bi.den will be a simulacrum, right Huncher?

she has a pretty good background. Probably better than any other black female for the vP nomination.

Rightthink says "Karen" means a middle-aged white woman, usually single, who complains a lot. So does Congresswoman Karen Bass identify as a complaining white woman, in which case she is ineligible for office, or is it simply OK for bLACK people to culturally appropriate names reserved for white people?

This constant vetting of black women is just to keep Biden and the words "black women" in the public arena. He's already picked Kamala Harris, you can be sure of that. It's to his benefit to keep the "Who will he pick?" meme going, gently stirred not shaken.
If you're paying attention, you'll know for sure what's about to happen. Hillary has gone TOTALLY silent, meaning she's up to her bulging eyeballs in this. Some mysterious accident that occurs out of any camera range will happen to Biden at the last minute. Most likely a fall, where he "could" have a concussion and will be unable to continue his "sure" path to the presidency. Hillary will step in as his replacement. And we will have a historic twofer ticket: 2 women/ a black, 1 white.
Watch it happen.

I'm not sure which one sounds sillier. Biden/Bottoms or Biden/Bass. Everybody on the vetting list should be scared to death they might be Joe Biden's VP pick. Down in flames is not a good career strategy.

This woman has the biggest mouth on TV both in appearance and in speech! If you've seen her trying to pretend it's okay for Biden to hide in his Basement, you will want to turn off your TV! My Hubby, who never comments on Political stuff on TV, stopped what he was doing and looked at the TV and said, "who in the world is that mouthy woman"! So I say, go ahead and do it. Make her the VP candidate and turn off millions of voters! They KNOW whoever is chosen to be the VP to Biden will in fact become the PRESIDENT in a matter of months! Not sure you can push the voters that far...even Democrats!

So MANY good comments!
JunkYardDog (#2), and Kitty Myers (#7), you did not mention (perhaps it is understood and so does not need mentioning) that the PRIMARY consideration is that the candidate be a SCREAMING LEFTIST.
As far as voting for a black female, I would vote for Candace Owens in a heartbeat.
Chillijilli (#15), sounds plausible to me. The 'Rats KNOW that they cannot run Dementia HairSniffer. The only question is Who do the 'Rat Oligarchs really want, and How are they going to pull The Switcheroo without opening up a crack for Crazy Bernie to slip in.
Us simple honest folk will just have to wait and see what happens. Keep your popcorn handy.

A Physician's Assistant for VP? Sure. Why not? The only Democrat goal this year is to beat Donald Trump, then rule by the most leftist oligarchy they can find. I think they rue the day Biden saved them from Bernie, and then promised a VP based on genitalia. Now they're stuck with riots in Milwaukee unless they make her black (but not a cop).

I agree with # 11. Actually, Bass appears to be a rather strong possibility. And....I think she could hold on to many, many black voters who might otherwise wander off the democrat plantation. Please don't interpret this as an endorsement from me.
