A Black Lives Matter protest of around 80 people in a tiny Ohio town which is home to just 13 black residents was overrun by 700 white counterprotesters armed with rifles, handguns and baseball bats at the weekend. Heavily armed white men and women from motorcycle gangs and 'back the blue' groups flocked to the small town of Bethel on Sunday shouting 'Blue lives matter!' and 'All lives matter!'They faced off with the small group of village residents who had been demonstrating peacefully calling for an end to systemic racism and police brutality across America. Shocking video footage showed a BLM protester being surrounded and violently punched

Typical Daily Mail drivel. If the town has 13 black residents where did the other 57 come from? How dare any liberal cry over this after the carnage we’ve witnessed that they supported? They have been warned. Stay away from middle America.

Cops get shot and paralyzed for life, others killed, as arsonists from Black Lives Matter go wilding in the streets and the media feels their pain. A small town stands up for itself when organization with a history of rioting and destruction sets its cross-hairs on them and the media and the Leftists rend their garments. We aren't buying it anymore.

If I heard this was going to go on in my small town....I'd be there. Can't see DM, or won't because they won't let me use my ad blocker and the incessant ads popping on top of content and flashing videos makes it nearly unusable if I turn off the ad blocker. Something similar has happened in a small town in Washington state. Snohomish, a town about 35-40- miles NE of Seattle had armed citizens show up to protect the town when there was a rumor of the terrorist groups BLM and antifa showing up. This was week-end before last. It was just a rumor, no terrorists showed up, so there was no violence, looting, burning or anyone attacked. The police chief was demoted and the mayor is being pressured to resign. But you can imagine the outcry if there had been BLM rioters burning everything up and the cops did nothing. They simply can't win no matter what they do.

You are judged by the company you keep. There is a rational expectation that when BLM shows up so will Antifa and innocent people will get hurt, property damaged and stolen. It should come as no surprise when people treat you as violent thieves without waiting to be attacked.

Well since the BLM protestors are supposed to know everything, they should have known if they left the leftist and liberal Democrat run inner cities and went out where the “deplorables” live that they were bound to meet up with the “deplorables” and that’s what happened in that Ohio town. The UK residents who authored the adverse comments about America below the article, should mind their own business. As the US fought and won a war to keep British opinion out of the USA over 200 years ago. Apparently there are people residing in the UK today who went through the UK school system, and who today want to destroy the statue of Winston Churchill, but don’t even know who Churchill was, or about his long career, or that Churchill helped vanquish the greatest racist in history, Adolf Hitler. Those commenters should instead be dwelling on their apparent incompetent school system and their know nothing residents.

That anyone thinks his action was acceptable is bothersome. What grand principles are these people standing on? Fake news is also often effective "news". This idiot deserves whatever comes down the pike...maybe even a Federal rap. And I'm sure his record is clean, no DUIs or domestic cases... Thanks, #19. So - while I don't support the guy who smacked the protester....we see people nearly beaten to death all over the place on TV and the police do nothing, make zero effort to find those people....because they are BLM protesters, rioters, looters and antifa thugs. But the minute anyone snaps back at these violent thugs, THEN the law comes down on them hard as a hammer. The police need to hold EVERYONE to the same standard. Yes, the guy who hit the protester from behind is wrong, no doubt. But how about the other 400 time when BLM or antifa thugs did this and nothing was done?

Bethel is a suburb of Cincinnati and the place where U.S. Grant was born. It is in Clermont County, which used to be (and still might be) considered a redneck area by nearby upscale Hamilton and Montgomery County residents. I lived in Cincinnati in the ‘80’s and things have undoubtedly changed in some ways but Bethel was the kind of place where the Scots-Irish from Appalachia and poor parts of Kentucky came looking for work. Although he wrote about Middletown, Ohio (which is north of Cinti. and close to Dayton) J.D. Vance wrote about these types of people in “Hillbilly Elegy”. If Bethel is like it used to be, these were not people to be toyed with. They, too, came from serious disadvantages in life and worked hard and proud for what they had. I suspect it is still that way in Bethel and pasty white, overweight basement-dwelling smarty-pants with ratty long hair need not lecture them about the travails of low-income Americans. Bethel is not Seattle or New York.

While it's been a number of years, I've been to Bethel. At that time, it was pretty close to a Mayberry type town. Everything except the McDonald's and the movie theater closed at 6pm. I went to get something to eat at a place in town, but arrived at ten minutes of six. I was told they were closing in a few minutes.

Like many Americans, I don't EVER think about what some English subject says about America. They really never got over losing the new world to a small number of determined 'colonists.' The best troops you had failed, your hired mercenaries failed, your vaunted Navy failed. ALL of them failed TWICE. In spite of two attempts to crush us we sacrificed over 300,000 men in two wars you either started or allowed to turn into a world war. If every generation after 1945 isn't grateful to America till the day they die, I have to consider them losers, like the Axis thugs that tried to kill all of them.

A lot of normally calm, reasonable, law abiding people are getting pretty sick of this lawlessness, and are just about there. There is going to be more push back if these punks show up in most any place in "fly over country" outside of deep, central downtown of the biggest cities, which have Dem mayors. #9, these small town protests are being organized from BLM central command to make it look like 100% of America is on their side. Five small towns in central Pennsylvania were selected and ads run on the local radio stations to encourage people to attend the rally and in most cases there were no black people in attendance. In one town nobody showed up. It's all a big show.

Nearby Cincinnati handled the attempt at violent protest very well. They herded the cattle around until they corralled them, then arrested them and made them stand in line in outside pens until processed. Next day, early curfew everywhere and voila, the violence mostly stopped. There were outside agitators. Try this in a rural spot nearby...not this time. There were a lot less bikers than reported and only one or two incidents. The insanity will not be tolerated here. I'm glad..but won't post it on my FB page. I'd be attacked vehemently and intensely by the minority of useful idiots. The silent majority has been 'woke'. Be careful what you pray for!

LONDON– Workmen began removing protective hoarding around a statue of Britain’s wartime leader Winston Churchill on Wednesday ahead of a visit from French President Emmanuel Macron, after the monument was covered up during racial equality protests. London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s office confirmed the uncovering was linked to Macron’s visit, which marks the 80th anniversary of General Charles de Gaulle’s radio address to France after the Nazi invasion in 1940, broadcast from London by the BBC. The plinth of Churchill’s statue outside parliament was daubed with graffiti that said “Churchill was a racist” during a Black Lives Matter march 10 days ago. The authorities feared it was at risk

Fiona Onasanya, a Black Lives Matter activist and former member of the UK parliament, claims that Kellogg’s Rice Krispies is a racist cereal because it has “three white boys” as mascots. Now that’s “systemic racism”! If Ms. Onasanya had stopped there, she would simply be dismissed as a fool and that would have been that. But. in her eagerness to prove racism, Onasanya doubled down on her charge and, in the process, proved she is an ignorant fool. [Tweet] It’s an idiotic point, even if it were true. It isn’t.
