On his game! Ben Carson dominates
Chris Wallace interview with a flawless
answer to every question

While speaking Sunday morning with Fox News host Chris Wallace, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson was repeatedly peppered with questions that were typical of an anti-Trump administration, anti-conservative anchor. For instance, Wallace brought up the fatal police shooting of a black suspect in Atlanta. But why would he bring that up with someone who works for HUD, not the Department of Justice? Nevertheless, Wallace wondered whether the shooting was justified. “Was it appropriate to use deadly force against someone whose original offense was that he sleep asleep at the drive-through lane at a Wendy’s?” he asked. Carson replied that he’s not sure and made it clear

fta: “As a white person, my parents never had that discussion about the police with me, and I never felt the need to have it with any of my children,” he (Wallace) said. Chris, you have lived a very rich, isolated, sheltered, privileged life. Most of us haven't. And many of us white folks in normal land have had the talk with our white kids. It consists of a) don't be a criminal b) don't antagonize police officers and c) if you are confronted, know your rights but don't ever get confrontational. In other words, respect police and respect yourself.

I couldn’t believe it when Wallace said that about not having the “talk” with his kids. It sounds like he knew he’d ask “Do you know who I am”? If his kids ever got in trouble. It was very evident that Dr. Carson was raised right by his mother, and he and his wife raised their children right. My white siblings and I were taught to respect authority figures like police, teachers, and ministers. That’s what every law abiding parent should do.

Dr. Carson had the godly mother to teach him and his brother the judeo-christian values many years ago. He practiced them in front of Zero at the National Prayer Breakfast several years ago, and fine-tuned them this this weekend with Wallace, who will never hold a candle, let alone a match, to this brilliant, wise, and godly servant of America. Having my first surgery as a kid at Hopkins, broken arm, LOVE the thought of America electing Dr. Carson in 2024 as POTUS! Let’s all agree, this is a Must Read and Consider. KAG

No doubt the only talk Wallace has had with his children is to tell them to ask, don’t you know who my father is? I don’t like Wallace and his tone especially gets on my last nerve. I try my best not to watch him ever because he is condescending and I don’t find his particular brand of snark appealing.

Here is "the talk" I have w/my kids when I teach them to drive. When a cop pulls you over, you put soft music on the radio. Bc music soothes the savage beast. You put your hands on 10 past 2. If it's night you put your dome light on. You say "yessir yessir yessir" when he asks you a question. That is to avoid a ticket. Much less a beating.

I certainly had "the talk" with my kids when they were first learning to drive. Now I am teaching my grandkids. They have been told to keep their hands on the steering wheel and to not make any sudden moves, to be respectful, not to panic, and to accept any warning or ticket given. They have been warned that they will surely get stopped; that it happens to almost everyone. They have also been advised to stay off the streets after midnight, especially around 2 a.m. when the bars close and drunk drivers are most likely to be out.

I had a second, uncomfortable talk with my daughter when she headed off to college near a big city. We are Caucasian, she grew up in a small East Texas town, and, through band, had friends and acquaintances of every color. This talk was about her new found college freedom as a white girl, with her white boy friend, in a city filled with predators. It centered on being aware of her surroundings at all times. Not walking on the edges of campus late at night. Not going to a McDonalds or other fast food place filled with young blacks. As I said, this very necessary conversation about the dangers of racist, feral black youth was very uncomfortable. It was a terrible thing to have to do. She stayed safe, graduated, and is starting her career.

Dr. Carson mentioned, why the baton is no longer part of Police equipment. Could it be the Rodney King episode? If the police can't shoot, then give them the baton to whack some sense into those resisting arrest. At least these undesirables won't get killed. Talk about 'Privilege". If Chris Wallace didn't have a Daddy named Mike Wallace, the little prince would be cleaning the 'throne' at Fox News. And his step daddy was the President of CBS News. Add in his "Harvard Privilege", (of the elite selected and well moneyed). We know how Chris got his old butt into that chair. Dr. Carson got to sit in the other chair the hard way; with his character, hard work, and brilliance, (while saving lives in the process). Chris Wallace isn't qualified to hold the door for Dr. Carson.
