Authorities in Florida have released disturbing surveillance video showing the moment hundreds of looters broke into a closed Walmart and stole more than $100,000 worth of merchandise. The incident took place on the night of May 30 during George Floyd protests in Tampa and the surrounding areas. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office on Thursday issued a plea to the public seeking help with identifying the looters who ransacked the Walmart at 2701 East Fletcher Ave. in Tampa.(Snip) The recording shows waves of raiders, some wearing face coverings, others not, racing through the aisles and grabbing merchandise, mostly electronics, including big-screen televisions.

Wearing their masks, huh? It’s a sad day when you can loot, riot and terrorize and be more afraid of catching a virus than catching a bullet!

At least woke Sheriff Chad Chronister didn't blame President. He's been whining about Gov. DeSantis since he won the election. The Governor's crime, giving general guidelines for "lock down" enforcement, leaving details to the locals. His real error, assuming all the locals are familiar with the Constitution which they vowed to support and defend. The frustrated Chonister ran out and arrested Church goers, but missed the Walmart crowd.

Who ever would have thunk that the local “Amish Community” in Tampa, in this day and age, would have acted out in such a stereotypical manner? Ask the so-called mainstream (liberal) media and they will try to get you to believe that the looting was carried out by “White Supremacists” hiding behind masks. But as they say, a photo is worth a thousand words.

I detect a trend among looters. My heart is hardened against any protests of BLM or democrat operatives. BLM should be working to reform the values of the black criminals (in a positive way!) I have absolutely no sympathy for their demands or complaints. They are criminals, period!

Don't call them looters. That's racist. The media said so.
When are our 'leaders' going to realize? Appeasement and submission does not work. Are they hoping tensions will simmer down, and the riots will simply go away? Not going to happen. Its an election year and the professional agitators have full time jobs.
The police have a job to do. Stopping rioters and looters is part of it.

A "look squirrel" moment while the sheriff was arresting church goers in a parking lot the better citizens of Florida were early Christmas shopping at Walmart.

If I were CEO of a major retail chain, I'd have a policy that any store that was looted would be demolished and the land sold, or gifted to the city (for a charitable deduction or part of the looting loss). Let them rebuild on it, turn it into a park, or bribe some other company to build on it. I'd find another location in a much safer neighborhood or town and open a new store there.

We used to have a police force to enforce the laws. I liked it better then. But, I will be armed each and every day, so I hope I can protect myself and my loved ones.

As the grieving process for Mr. Floyd continues at the local Walmart smart Democrat lawmakers in our nation’s capital kneel wearing African scarves in honor of these ancient tribal customs.

I made the same as #14 today when sent the link to this article to my sisters.
Store should pullout of high crime neighborhoods and if a mayor says you must open a stores in all neighborhoods if you want to do any business in the city, then leave the city altogether. These mayors and cities need Walmart, Walgreens, CVS and the taxes and jobs they generate more than the stores need the cities.

Have you ever seen so many white supremacists at once?
Maybe we can subtract all the costs for the repairs for businesses burned to the ground and product looted from the reparations they keep screaming for.

I heard one of the recently overexposed black voices demanding an end to food deserts.
Walmart pulling out would create its own kind of desert, among a slew of other such deserts. Of course, all these deserts are a result of white privilege and black oppression so, one way or another, whitey will continue
to prop up black sociopathy with the extortion of whitey's taxes and treasure. These rampages are proof of their righteousness, Catch 22 writ large.

This video clearly demonstrates why there are no chain grocery stores within the city limits of Detroit. And the Democrats who complain about so-called food deserts never tell you the cause.

As most of the posters say.....walk away. If the police won't protect lives and property then it's no place to do business. I would be willing to bet the daily "shrinkage" and fraud makes that store marginally profitable if at all.

After the past week, I've come to the conclusion that stealing is part of the black DNA. It's men, it's women, it's the elderly and it's kids. Spontaneous looting (theft, stealing) occur every time there's a disaster. Saw a video yesterday (it's on YouTube) of a black women, in a curse filled rant, complaining because some store owners were protecting their store with guns. She was going to get two relatives, one a cop and one a detective, to look into this. I couldn't watch the whole rant, because of her use of their 2nd favorite word, after the 'N'word.

I'm not willing to blame line cops. It's management's decision and why should they risk it just so some prosecutor can refuse to do the job and some judge simply release the violent perp. What's the point?

Orders needs to come down from Governor's residences across the nation that ALL concealed carry permit holders are welcome to be deputized by their County Sheriff's Department immediately. Given a week of practical training they will be released onto the streets, armed to the teeth, with push-to-talk cellphones for their radio net.

#29 If you are a thief your whole life, you are still a thief as a senior. The greed among this group is amazing.
I don't want them to close that Walmart because then they will branch out to other stores.

You know? I live mere miles away from this area in Tampa. They refer to it as”suitcase city.” Transients I suppose is the reference. However, neither the folks at Tampa Bay Times or local network affiliates saw no reason to report on these Walmart robbers. This is the first I’ve heard of it. It hasn’t been an item of discussion despite its newsworthiness.
