The Minneapolis mayor is asking for federal help cleaning up and rebuilding his city after rioters caused at least $55 million worth of damage through looting, burning, and defacing public and private property.
That cost estimate is likely to increase in the coming days as government officials continue to tally the damage done in the wake of George Floyd’s death, Mayor Jacob Frey said according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and the state’s congressional delegation are also pushing the Trump administration and Congress for funding.
On Tuesday, city officials released an initial estimate of $55 million in damage done to at least 220 buildings.

Sue BLM for the millions of dollars they've looted.
Go talk to your white leftist buddies in hollywood who gave plenty of money to pay to bail out the rioters.

USA to Minnie-Apples, Drop dead.
This could have been stopped, had the mayor and governor had a brain, and some spine.
But they had neither. Minnie-Apples problem, not ours.

The government has no money. It's ours and taxpayers are tired of you supporting looting and burning and begging for help. When your property tax increases and homeowner's insurance becomes un-affordable remember We are sharing the 'risk'

Politics is a rough game. All states are probably going to need federal help. If a state's leadership has been opposing, insulting, and denigrating to the head of the federal government, they shouldn't be surprised if their state is a low priority for federal help.

If the President gives MN $55M, then what are Cuomo and de Blasio going to demand? $20B on top of the $61B they're already demanding for NYC? Hell NO to both of them. They caused it, stoked it, encouraged it, and administered it, and assisted it. They can send the bill to Soros and Antifa.

One week ago, the city of Cleveland had its downtown ravaged by looters and rioters. The mayor was compeletely absent and the police department admitted that it was unprepared for the size of the Leftist riot.
In the aftermath, the city took actions to stop further damage to the city's buildings and streets. However, Minneapolis took no such actions and deserves nothing. They caused their own problems.
Maybe the Somalis will pick up the bill?

This is the same mayor who tried to charge Trump exorbitant prices for security when the MAGA rally was held, and who allowed those at the rally to be attacked as they left the building. Previous to being mayor, he was a community organizer. Let's see him organize some community funds to rebuild his city.

This is truly rich. One of the Minneapolis police who was still employed despite 17 previous complaints against him murders a non-violent crook ON CAMERA and the nation is asked to pay for the predictable rioting and destruction? Though it will never happen I think the city might should pay for the destruction caused across the nation instead. Of course that will never happen and we are all paying for the failure to prosecute Antifa who is the real culprit. As to the miscreant cop, he should have been recognized as a bad apple years ago. Police unions who defend such bad apples are a bad idea (as are all government worker unions) but police are co-workers of the District Attorneys in their jurisdictions. Cops should not be self-policed and independent prosecutors not the DA's office should handle serious complaints.

These politicians of these major cities never cease to amaze me. They hate this President and the Federal government but always, always have their hands out for more Federal money. They cause the problems in their cities and expect someone else has to bail their sorry a$$s out. These Democratic political hacks have no shame. Make them pay Mr. President, make them pay.

Did Frey let the police do their jobs? Did Frey ask for National Guard help? Did Frey ask for Trump's help? Did Walz ask for federal help?
This is like an arsonist burning down a house and then making an insurance claim. Frey and Walz allowed this to happen. They verbally supported the "cause" pouring gasoline on the fire. Dems are always trying to use the results of their own bad actions to get money.
Just! Say! No!!!

And I suppose they want money to put up a statue of St. George, the patron saint of drug use too? Why don't you ask the NFL, MLB, NBA players for monetary help? They make millions.
