Student activists across the country are calling for their schools to cut ties with police departments and remove officers from campuses in response to a national uprising against police brutality. And school leaders in Minneapolis and Portland, Ore., have already taken that step.(Snip) The public school board in Minneapolis voted unanimously to terminate its contract with the city’s police department on Tuesday in response to Floyd’s death. “I firmly believe that it is completely unnatural to have police in schools,” school board member Kimberly Caprini said during the meeting, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Every Democrat run city, campus, school or 'safe space' will become Chicago.
I swear the Democrats promote the violence, to swell their voter rolls with guaranteed D-votes.

I say fine. Let them do it their way. It's their schools and they can do whatever they want. In the meantime, we all can sit back and wait for the stuff to hit the fan. And what are they going to do then...blame Trump? Remember, these are schools in Democrat run cities so you know what is going to happen. It's not our problem. Don't come crying to us about systemic racism when the next shooting happens in these schools.

I just read that elsewhere that "Rapid Response Social Workers" should be hired to replace police.
Rapists, burglars, gangbangers and drug lords cower in fear. I'm sure the nutjobs who like to shoot up school kids on occasion will be deterred as well.

Of course, you will need to schedule the Rapid Response Social Worker at least 14 days in advance. Hopefully they will be able to work in the response between their Diversity Concern, Social Awareness Training, and LGBTXYZ Outreach. And vacations and personal days off.

If anything every happened to my child in one of those schools I would fight tooth and nail to sue them out of existence.
Man, to think of how much justice will be required to fix this problem that they are creating.
Might want to ask the kids at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School what they think of this idea.

My school has an armed community officer.. he is awesome!!
What happens when a mass school shooting occurs- it is only a matter of time.. going to call rapid response social workers?
Gun free zones mean easy targets for perpetrators..

I think that would be a super idea, beef up the law enforcement in communities where they are wanted and appreciated, and let the other communities fend for themselves. Why put their lives on the line for the leftist imbeciles?

No,
The Cops might teach our kids a little right from wrong.
Remember that kids;
The next time some play the bully routine that is so fun and drive a kid crazy causing him to shoot up the school, call your Mommy.

My description of a typical “rapid response social worker” is a five-foot two overweight black female with a bottom three feet across, with attitude. I’ve seen enough of her type in schools.

Problem is, #14, English teachers don't teach Chaucer anymore. If that could save the school kids, well, let's just say they're dead ducks.

Sure, Kimberly, it's completely unnatural to have police in schools. If the kids learned about right, wrong, and divine origin of both life and truth, then schools might not NEED police.
Our current situation could largely have been avoided if we had bothered to learn from history. And judging from the moves made in Portland and Minneapolis, nobody there learned from history. So they'll have to live through this lesson all over, the hard way.

Clearly they haven't thought this out. Nobody will be there to stop the next school mass shooting. It will make the schools less safe rather than more safe. Worried about your child's safety? Don't put them in a public school.

Great idea until the next school shooter appears, then these doofuses can throw erasers at them while they mow down the kids...in the 'gun free zones' of course..stupidity is rampant in liberals...Floyd was a felon, drug abuser and refused to follow directions...

And when the next mass shooting occurs, who will they blame? The guns. The people who sell the guns. Anyone who supports gun ownership. The cops - for not being there. Society, mostly Republicans, as a whole.
These people are pathological blamers and cowardly winers.
They can all shut the heck up. I don’t care what happens to any of these jerks anymore.
