Tiger Woods was swarmed on social media this week by critics who didn’t want to hear part of his George Floyd message: “We can make our points without burning and looting the very neighborhoods we live in.” The golf icon’s critics came out in droves and berated him along racial and political lines for attempting to strike a balance between empathy for Mr. Floyd—the 46-year-old man killed while in the custody of now-former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin—and disdain for the destruction in cities nationwide in the wake of Mr. Floyd’s death.(Snip) “I have always had the utmost respect for law

He is, of course, in the right here. But a poor choice of phraseology.
So is he suggesting that they burn and loot in another neighborhood? Good thought, could have been stated better.
No burning and looting ANYWHERE.

Tiger Woods might have waded into some real interesting water here, but I applaud him for having the guts to do so. Somebody from his community needs to start doing that, and the more that do, the better.
As to his serial cheating, blame a lot of that on his dad. His own father was very disdainful of women, and he didn't let Tiger have the normal relationships that a fellow would have as he worked his way up the ladder of pro golfing. So after daddy died, Tiger kind of went off the rails catching up. He is a classic example of a stage parent, living their own dreams through the life of their kid. But I will say this, I saw Tiger on one of the old school talk shows, showing his prowess at age 2. Serious concentration for a 2year old and I knew then he would make a fantastic champion.

Tiger is right, those cretins criticizing him are supporting criminal actions, that's not a protest.

Tiger, the son of a Green Beret, an Orange County boy (Cypress) through and through. Raised respectful, courteous, erudite, articulate.
Sure, he succumbed to the trappings and temptations of the flesh, but seemingly has atoned and made amends for having wronged and disappointed people. But he rose above it all and has resumed his career as one of the greatest golfers who has ever lived.
The one racial group that should be taking in his wisdom and example, instead castigates him for offering it. Sad.

The rioters should be left to live in their burned out neighborhoods. When they need a prescription filled, they can go to the burned down CVS and get it. When they need auto parts, they can go to the burned down Autozone and get them.

Tiger Woods has earned his chops, and only the racial bigots, the jealous and the snotty denigrate him.

I don’t understand the vitriol, overt or implied in comments by OP and others. And the parsing of Tiger’s words to arrive at an opinion that he was talking about only the black neighborhoods. First of all, that would not fit the present circumstances. Secondly, his “we” was not a black “we” but an American “we”. I have never seen him set himself aside as a black as other black celebrities do…
I am not a fan, but I must applaud him for speaking out. His doing so is past due. Too few blacks are encouraging them to do the right thing. Rather, they are excusing all the bad things they are doing.
He did the only right thing. More blacks who have “made it” should do the same.

There's not a speck of vitriol in OP's comments, which summarized Woods' statements with full support, adding that he was attacked for speaking the truth and for the crime of not conforming to the plainly racist groupthink of the community that claims victimhood at the hands of racists.

I don't like Tiger, never have. But he is right in this instance. Sadly, the voices of reason are all being drowned out by the crazies.

This once again shows the complete insanity and hatred of the Left in this country. It also shows how any action or statement not in line with their position/philosophy is met with hatred and attempted censorship. It makes one wonder how we will be able to live alongside these people in peace in the future. Maybe we can't.

Know anyone that's out protesting? Ask them if the rioting and looting is justified. If they say its not, ask them to post that out on the internet, and watch their protester friends turn on them.

Don't ever expect to talk sense to a cadre of willfully-blind fools intent on stifling any opinion different from theirs. The ADDICTED MOB on social media will not be reasoned with since their reality has been CENSORED. Corporate puppeteers have gained control of their thoughts, and these Stepford fools now BARK on command.

Tiger, you're no Bill Cosby, so don't try to fill his shoes as the voice of wisdom to young blacks. (Besides, they didn't even listen to him before he got busted for date rape...)

Don't you see, Tiger isn't really black since he played golf with Trump so he isn't permitted to have an opinion.

I’m glad that Tiger Woods is speaking out. You can bet the thugs who enjoy looting and burning are the ones criticizing him because they’re all over social media. He should ignore them and continue speaking out. As for partly blaming dad for his serial cheating, no. He is the one responsible for doing that.

I'd rather watch paint dry than watch a game of golf, but Tiger Wods did all right for himself. If he has shown a lack of judgment, it was in cheating on that fox he was married to, not speaking out against the looting and damage being done by feral black youth.

The serial philanderer makes solid points, noting that the police are highly trained, yet a mistake was clearly made here, adding that destruction of property does nothing to address the issue. This makes him a "saltine" and not a real N-word, according to the world of Twitter.
