Fox News host Tucker Carlson blasted White House adviser Jared Kushner as one of those responsible for subverting President Donald Trump’s “instincts” on key issues that affect his presidency.
Commenting on the ongoing protests, riots and general lawlessness taking place in the wake of the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last week, Carlson used part of Monday night’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” opening monologue to take aim at “key advisers,” including Kushner, who don’t understand the “gravity of the moment.”

Never could stand Kushner and that feeling is not made any better by the notion that every time I look at him, I can't help but see a resemblance to Reinhard Heydrich....not a good association.

Tucker has a point... However Trump has also said he listens to ALL sides of an argument, then he'll decide. I think Trump has decided. Also to #1... I Googled Reinhard Heydrich and yes he is who I thought he was. There IS a resemblance, which has to be the richest of ironies... No?

Jared Kushner has a sneaky way about him. He does not engender confidence. He is married to the King's daughter which is how he got his position. What are his qualifications?

Trump needs to go with his Gut and start to slash and burn tonight. He needs to go with his gut and send in the Military (against the will of the Democrat Governors). I would think the people who live in the areas that have been looted and burned for three nights now, would be ready to be saved! The Blacks are NOT going to vote for Trump no matter what he does, so he should do what is right and Democrats and Blacks be dammed!

I have a friend who worked for me about 15 years ago and I valued the way she disagreed with me more than any other attribute. When I was hired to drive drastic rapid change at another business I hired her because I knew I needed the voice of her perspective.
I'm not a big fan of Kushner but Trump needs to hear that perspective. Does he let that sway him too much, perhaps. It would be better if he had that voice disconnected from the influence of his daughter; a power over fathers I know quite a bit about.

Mayors and governors have the responsibility of protecting their own city and state....that is why the police belong to the mayor and the National Guard to the governor...that includes the use of deadly force...Trump should not commit active duty military (Think the Ranger Regiment/82nd/101st Airborne) UNLESS the mayors and the governors have used all their tools...which includes deadly force...all I saw last night was NYC Policemen riding around on bikes...the active duty soldiers shouldn't be committed till the governors/majors have shown the moral backbone to protect their own cities...if the cities will not use all of the force they have why should active duty soldiers have to assume their responsibilities

#1 -- Reinhard Heydrich, really? That's a pretty low blow...Kushner, if you recall, is also the one who provided the perspective to move our embassy to Jerusalem. I agree with another poster that said Trump needs to hear all sides of the argument. He's a big boy, he can then make his decision.

I don't agree fully with Tucker on this one. I didn't vote for Trump as President to hold my hand when it comes to protecting my home or community. I realize Tucker lives in DC and doesn't have the wherewithal to protect his own home when agitators attacked it one night but that's his choice. Yes, I agree that Trump has had some bad advice, but hindsight is 20/20. I didn't like the cheap shot about hiring Omarosa. Just as with the COVID-19 hyped up crisis, Trump relied on the Governors to manage their respective states. It's not his Constitutional role to manage every state and city. Why have local elections then? All of those here saying Trump should be more forceful - would you have said the same thing if it was Obama forcing himself on your city/state? I do find it ironic that those on the Left (and some on the right) criticizing the use of the military to quell these riots are the same ones (if they knew their history) who heralded Eisenhower's deployment of the Airborne to Little Rock to help with desegregation. I do think one reason the military was deployed to DC is twofold: the USSS may have been concerned that the White House could possibly be over run (and then the shooting would get real ugly) and that is not a good sight for the world and a good portion of DC is federal land.
I got beat up on another blog for criticizing Tucker so feel free if you want to pile on.

Kushner aside, I have to ask. Should Trump put down the riots or should he ratchet back the rhetoric? Is it the presidents reponsibility to put down riots, or is it the responsibility of local law enforcement and local governments?
I dont know about ya'll, but I dont look to the President to protect me from local thugs. My safety rests first on me and tgen my local law enforcement. Liberals on the other hand expect presidents to personally hand hold.

Tucker Carlson is someone I always listen to as a conservative. It's ok to be critical of our President when he is wrong! Nobody is above being advised to change course . Trump sitting in the bunker 5 stories below ground level in a vault using Twitter is a very bad image! Trump needs to be Trump! Stop putting a muzzle on him! We want law and order and we aren't getting it from democRATs! Trump MUST draw a sharp distinction! We will support him. The media and left wing zealots are NOT his audience... We are! His speech last night was just right! LEAD, Mr. President! Don't listen to the insults and stop with the petty name calling...it is below you, sir!

When I think of Ivanka and Jared, I think of Meghan and Harry. Ivanka and Jared live in a very protected bubble in every way. Meghan and Harry used to live in a very protected bubble - financially, physically and in their relations with the people. Meghan and Harry should not have listened to their progressive advisers: Ophrah, the Clintons and the Obamas. Trump should not listen to Ivanka and Jared. He should trust his instincts and listen to people who don't live in a bubble.
Besides Ivanka and Jared have their own businesses. I believe he is in real estate and Ivanka's is fashion. They have three lovely children and they have plenty to keep themselves busy without working in the White House. Let your father breathe.

Only reason we have Javanka in the WH is thanks to Paul Ryan and his trickery regarding the scam he nearly pulled off on the insurance legislation. Trump learned a valuable lesson that Friday evening, and on the following Monday, he announced that Javanka would be permanently part of the West Wing. Trump needed eyes he could trust, trust a whole lot more than the creatures of the swamp. But it is now time for those two to go back to NYC. Or at least to their DC mansion as private citizens, rather than part of the WH.
So please remember this history before you slam Trump for being misled or misguided by others. You do not build a multi billion dollar empire if you are led around by the nose. Ivanka said in an interview once that nobody 'guides' her father, NOBODY. He is his own man, and he might make decisions we don't agree with, but we do not have access to the information he does.

Tucker (aka Chatsworth Osborne, Jr.) has come quite a ways from his bow-tie-wearing days at The Weekly Standard, CNN and MSNBC. His FNC evening performances are usually quite interesting which is why I rarely miss an episode. His guests are frequently somewhat peculiar which helps Tucker appear more normal than he actually may be. I'm glad that he knows the secret influences that motivate Trump's thinking and decision-making. This is the prescience we viewers can rely on from an eminence who attended La Jolla Country Day School and grew up in a home overlooking the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club. I just hope he doesn't go back to wearing those pink bow ties.

Just watch, Tucker is being deployed by the deep state. Just like Little Marco, Miss Lindsey and Justice Roberts. Jared got Trump elected and has been excellent.

Kushner and anyone else that has advised trump over the last 4 months have been a disaster and they are going to get him beaten in November! I’m very worried about my President. And I don’t read or listen to all the national press! Something has been just off with Trump’s ear recently!
